    Another original and interesting peespective from ES. We are often told to have straight left arm in line with driver but now I see that the driver is designed to have our hands behind the club at address. 👍☘

    Gentlemen I am loving the content and the quality of your videos. I used to watch Sean’s videos going back many years and I am delighted you are back extolling the virtues of the easiest swing philosophy. The lessons I had over the last 2 years set my game back to the point I nearly quit. My handicap actually went up as my mind got bogged down in positions and technique. I am now going through a process of rediscovering my love of the game through the simple joy of body movement and finding my rhythm and your coaching is helping so much. I even purchased the hole in one trainer off your site today…. Tips hat

      Thank you very much for the kind endorsement Chris. We hear this exact story you've shared more often than most would believe. So many golfers come to Easiest Swing after trying conventional coaching, because they haven't improved, have often got worse or are about to give up entirely. We are here to challenge your beliefs and remind you to trust your capabilities as a golfer. Golf should be easy and fun. Enjoy your Hole in One, we are sure you will love it as much as we do.

    That's a good point well made. If you're hoping to get it right, may as well do so from the beginning. That said, we don't set up to accommodate the dynamic loft that occurs at impact to various degrees in the vast majority, if not 99.99%, of players.

    I take your point, but I have two comments: first, did you have to set the driver head in the super anti-hook position to get the shaft to lean backwards? My TaylorMade R9 leans forwards slightly at the Neutral setting, and second, despite your instructions, at about 5:20, Sean still seems to me to line his shaft up with his front leg; perhaps that instinct to do so is very strong.

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Рік тому +2

      Great questions Daniel! This club (Callaway) is set in the neutral position, some manufacturers will vary, however, typically they should sit square with a slight shaft lean backwards. With regards to the video of Sean at 5ish mins in, there is a slight camera angle issue here. If you look closely, the ball appears to be played from the middle of his lead foot, it is actually inside his lead heel. Despite this, if you drop a plumb line down from his hands you will notice they are inline with the back of the club head. We apologise about this confusion caused. We try our best during production, but sometimes it's still not perfect, we'll blame the cameraman!

    Since I tee off with a 3 wood, does the principle of the driver still hold?

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes indeed it is a little less than the driver but the principle is the same let the club lie fleet on the ground and build your stance around it. Lots of golfers deloft a 3 wood and lose ball flight as a consequence. Good luck!

    When I came to realize with age (75) that I could no longer count on the driver for distance I binned it in favour of my new driver, the 3 wood. The 3 wood isn’t exactly the best substitute for the driver because of its smaller face. Miss hits occurred as I tried to achieve similar distance but more accuracy,so I dropped down to a 5 wood that plays well as the 3 wood at about 175 yards and consistently in the middle of the fairway. As Mike mentioned here , I was experiencing the same distance with the driver as my rescue clubs and without accuracy. Maybe taking a slightly different setup position will help and I am anxious to give it a try.

    • @Easiestswing
      @Easiestswing  Рік тому +2

      We absolutely agree in taking an approach that makes the game easier for you Richard! We also highly recommend a 'Play Club' - which is a more lofted and slightly shorter driver. This can have 13-15 degrees of loft, but also benefits from the large head size so that your margin for error is larger than a 3 or 5 wood. This might be worth looking into for you. We also hope that mike's advice helps you with your drives.
