Same thing is happening in the dirt bike market. The latest top models are still in demand (new) but the mid and lower-level stuff is not selling, and the used market has stagnated big time. It feels like it's much bigger than normal seasonal variation.

This is why I only work for things and pay cash for them .....Always some guy at work stressing out about how they are gonna make there side by side payment that month that cost as much as a new car to drive to work... Or camper payment that cost as much as a small house 🤣 if anyone has one for sale cheap let me know ...and if you have the title ...
Financing something like this is normally a bad idea. It isn’t if the money is cheap and you have the cash anyway, but once you’re in and paid off, you can continually trade up to better and better machines as time goes on. I think the 2 biggest mistakes people make are 100% financing and rolling in their accessories at the dealer.
My wife and I have been Sport ATV riders for over 20 years (started riding in our late 20s) As SXSs started to become much more popular, we thought we would make the change to the new fad! Now, being in our late 40s, we figured that what we needed was a comfortable well built SXS, that will comfortably handle the washes and desert mountain trails here in NW Arizona. So, we bought a Blue, $23000 OTD, 2021 KRX1000. After driving it on the very same trails my wife and I have been riding our Raptors 700 and 350s on for years, the 1st thing we noticed was the size and the noise. Yes it was a comfortable ride, but it barely fit on many of the mountain trails that out ATVs fit easily on! And the cab noise...forget about having a conversation without screaming at one another. Also, we felt totally detached from the off-road," hands on" driving experience that we have when we drive our ATVS. Here in the high deserts of Arizona, the temps can average 95 all summer long. When you combine the 95 temp along with the very hot uninsalated radiator hoses that run just below the drivers cup holder, with no place for that heat to go, except on your skin, it can get VERY hot in the cab. Thick dust also invades the cab from it seems everywhere! For me, driving a SXS is no different than driving a pickup truck with a performance shock setup going off-road except, Performance PU trucks or Jeeps with the right shock setups are cool, quiet and mostly clean to ride in. One other thing...Why do I always feel like when I'm riding my wave runner, It feels like I'm riding my Raptor700 and when I'm driving or riding in a ski boat, it feels like I'm driving a SXS??? Oh, I sold my KRX 3 months after I purshased it. It had under 400 miles on it and was in perfect condition. After 6 weeks, I got "1" call on Craig's list and sold it for $19000. I'm not sure that my experience is the same reason for the decline in the SXS market, but just maybe, SXS owners might be getting a little tired of driving their VERY expensive, loud, dusty and at times, kinda boring SXSs down dirt roads or trying to show off to their buddies how awesome their turbo Can am can can climb any rock wall in Utah and they break something major in the process!
