@@jimmyl324 Yeah, LFMGB is pretty great, and the fact that she nailed such a dark and dramatic role to compare with the brilliance of her comedic performance in AH really sealed the deal.
@@jimmyl324 You're right...shattering performance...I had read the book beforehand which was very disturbing and she did an amazing job. Her performance in Annie Hall was wonderful...the most delicate souffle of comedy....the two films demonstrated her range. Much deserved..
Diane Keaton has a great range as an actress. She could break your heart one minute and make you belly laugh the next in equal measure. Sure maybe next to some of the other performances "Annie Hall" seems lightweight, but there was real depth to that character. This however was the year when we needed someone charming to come along... And no one has charmed us more over the years than Diane. She has always been one of my favorites, and she always will be. La de da, la de da, la la.
Please keep doing this!!! It's so cool! Please do some for the boys as well. A lot of these movies are hard to find and I would love to see some old time actors in their oscar-nominated or Oscar winning performances.

Those not nominated… Gena Rowlands “Opening Night” Kathleen Quinlan “I Never Promised You a Rose Garden” Simone Signoret “Madame Rosa” Sophia Loren “A Special Day” Yes, I saw “Opening Night” twice during its initial run in Beverly Hills with Cassavetes in the audience. I was blown away when Gena wasn’t nominated. Hands down one of the Academy’s biggest mistakes.
