I own both and I agree with everything you've said! On a side note... Personally my 50x started flaking.. The ear cups and the headband.... Hasn't been an issue with the 70x... To be fair after noticing it on my 50x I've been babying by 70x a lot lol
Damn love that intro, and your reviews, crispy, I'm using audio technica in the studio there dope headphones so underrated. This channels going to be huge. Great work :)
New camera for sure! Video quality is A++, on par with youtubers with 10x the subs! Quality isn't everything though, but you didn't fail at the purpose of the video either; it was really informative. Good job Kevin!
Do u remember when u were working for Android authority ur editing skills was pretty bad but informative ... and now you are good at everything .... BTW great video man ..
With the black bars in the beginning you should key frame them so they kinda form into place you know like there is nothing there but then they grow, that would be kinda cool having it move at the beginning
Do you purposely keep your lighting dim or cold? I'm not saying its bad, the temperature just looks different than other videos. I just wondered if it is a part of your style.
Nice vid, tho i must say that the music is pretty distracting. Try to make the music loop more fluid at 1:10, 1:56 and 2:41 and maybe turn it down a notch so that youre voice doesnt get overpowered.
Are the M50x the best headphones you can get around the 200 ? Or are there better headphones for 200 if so which one? Great comparison btw keep it up !
Ahh I didn't know Dbrand made for the M50x's, although I have the brown and blue one. Hmm.. Curious to know what your fav portable amp is, I'm currently using my m50x's and the Fiio E11k with my Nexus 5 and Viper4android, audio bliss. InnerFidelity has a pretty great in depth review of these cans, the guy knows his gear, worth to check it out. He actually turned me onto 3M dual lock to attach my amp to my phone, way better than velcro.
Kevin The Tech Ninja Yeah amps with these cans really shine, and you gotta get Viper4android asap, I'm telling you it's the best thing since sliced bread. If you want some real uumph in the lows, this eq can really bring it out. Gotta be rooted though. Just take my word for it, IT IS WORTH IT. If you haven't tried it out already.
i was not comparing the two.I am merely stating the options would prefer that are in a similar price range. Furthermore imo if you are serious about your music you should invest in a good amp and dac regardless of the type of headphones you use.
I have the M70X and i'm just about to sell them. I haven't owned the M50X but that will be my next pair of headphones, most people would've got the M50X first but i just thought these would be a better version than the M50X and they're not. The M70X is a fantastic professional headphone and has a very balanced sound. The vocals are crisp and they can pick up rough parts of a track. The bass is non existent and they're not great for electronic music. The bottom line is that the M70X are great for audio professionals but aren't good for casual listening unless you like a flat sound signature. I imagine the M50X have more bass quantity.
Awesome video! I'm excited to get them M50x. Can I ask what is the dbrand texture you use for your M50x? I'm also trying to think what colorway should I get. there is a matte grey and the dark green.
The Ath M series are overrated cans. No soundstage, everything is blasting to your ears. The fake leather spoil in just a year. Can't see how people really enjoy listening to these unless you are really doing monitor work. BTW, I owned the m50x and my brother owned the M70x, both sold after 2 months. Good video though as always. But not the product being reviewed.

I've had my 50s for a few years. However they're just chilling on my desk not much a durability test ya know? Thanks for the comment.
3:20 where can I get those pants?

Damn love that intro, and your reviews, crispy, I'm using audio technica in the studio there dope headphones so underrated. This channels going to be huge. Great work :)
Is it me, or is there a weird color shift at 0:46?
nope We saw that too
Glad you made the review!
New camera for sure! Video quality is A++, on par with youtubers with 10x the subs! Quality isn't everything though, but you didn't fail at the purpose of the video either; it was really informative. Good job Kevin!

I enjoyed the little funny things you threw in here. Keep up the great stuff! 👌
With the black bars in the beginning you should key frame them so they kinda form into place you know like there is nothing there but then they grow, that would be kinda cool having it move at the beginning
I know what you mean. But nah I don't want to animate it in. I got enough animation going on.
you got me thinking about what i should get

Are the M50x the best headphones you can get around the 200 ? Or are there better headphones for 200 if so which one? Great comparison btw keep it up !
+KairosSecond M50's to ME are the best headphones around $200.
Kevin The Tech Ninja thanks ! :)
Cool Review
hey kevin! bring back that rap intro!
I'll mix it in every once in a while.
Ahh I didn't know Dbrand made for the M50x's, although I have the brown and blue one. Hmm..

I had to Borrow an amp. I doing know much about l. But I really enjoyed it. I might pick one up. And I'll check him out.

I'll take you up on it! Thanks man.
Sweet video! Good comparison, "Monday morning yoga class" haha
nice
i missed the mini rap in the intro..
3:44 Dramatic Kevin
At that price i would rather go with the the openback senhheisser hd 600, closed back vmoda crossfade wireless or even the bose qc15
+Ziich Here the HD600s costs 1.98x the M70x.
And online shopping is just tax, customs and shipping price magnet.
Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnope.
***** He said that they are around double the price of the m50s (which are about $150-$200) hd600 are about $300-$350 bucks
+Ziich keep in mind you need a good amp for hd600 and imo comparing open back vs closed back is not fair.
i was not comparing the two.I am merely stating the options would prefer that are in a similar price range. Furthermore imo if you are serious about your music you should invest in a good amp and dac regardless of the type of headphones you use.
don't know if you know that's not how you fold the m50s
Got ma Sennheiser HD598SE's, I'm all good.
I have the M70X and i'm just about to sell them. No more fire in the intro?
15's in the Trunk....I see u LOL...Good Video

+Kevin The Tech Ninja I never had 15's...I rocked the 12's...
+oliver mcghee I did too. haha Those were the days...
+Brad Snyder +oliver mcghee - I did the One JBL 10.. it knocked my hatch bach so hard. BHJ had 2 15's. lol.
+Kevin The Tech Ninja +oliver mcghee LOL! I had a pair of Earthquake 12's rockin on that Fosgate. :D
title typo, audio technica*

you do have a silhouette of an NBA player... is it Kyrie?

a pair of sx2k's and a cayin c5 will change your life
Foldingability... Is that even a word, but the video was good tho
what made me cringe is how you don't know to wear the m50's and how to fold them properly.
DAT zoolander Magnum
m40x is better those two tho
bouncin
