I’ve had good luck with my 2010. Done good maintenance and the biggest problem I’ve had is cam phasers, but it wasn’t crazy expensive to fix. Truck has 165k and runs strong.
Will be the top selling again this year. Thanks to your video.
I have a 2020 laramie longhorn with 50k miles haven’t had a problem at all.
I have a 2019 and not a glitch as of yet also👍
Ford needs to bring back the very reliable 4.9 in-line 6. This motor was indestructable
*F.O.R.D. means FOUND ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD DEAD.*
I once had a Ford Mechanic who worked at their dealership tell me he would never purchase one. Sure they are fancy looking (the trucks that is) but none of their vehicles are worth crap. The people who love them are wealthy men who have money to burn so they can fix whatever happens to the truck. Everytime it breaks. Money is no object to them.
I have spent 0 dollars on repairs for my 2018 f150 5l.
Does this take into account the total units in service? The ratio of failures to quantity in service is what is important to me.
My 2017 F150 limited transmission went out at 46k miles. Last Ford I will ever own!!!
I just purchased a used 2020 Nissan Titan pro-4x with 36k miles. Maintenance seems fairly straightforward as long as you periodically clean the intake valves - common issue with direct injection engines.
That's the only reason I'm concerned with that new 3.8L in the frontier that's why I personally like the Tacoma because they run that d-4s technology so you don't have to worry about those intake valves but that is a super nice truck you got. I like midsize but I would prefer that over a lot of the competition if I bought full-size truck
George I definitely share your concern with direct injection engines. Unfortunately it seems that most manufacturers are heading in that direction. Fortunately there are a few different methods for maintaining the intake valves.
Should have just said it's about fords
Makes a list of 10 only talked about one. Jfc.
Larry is one of those ignorant commentors to be "ignored "
Those F150 with the engine issues are nearly universally in regards to the 5.4 3v. However, an identical truck with the mediocre, 4.6 2v it is nearly as reliable as every police interceptor that has ever been. Right?
Are maintenance repairs differentiated between normal wear and tear, quality related repairs, repairs required because the customer exceeded one or more parameters of the trucks capacity and ran the truck too hard? There are soo many variables to take account of.
RAM 1500 is number 1 and Dodge RAM 1500 is number 4. I thought Dodge moved all RAMs over to their own segment. Is this a typo or does Dodge have a RAM back in its lineup in 23?
I was wondering the same thing!
I think it’s to differentiate the Ram 1500 from the 1500 classic maybe?
There are so many Ram trucks on this list that I think Stellantis had some influence on Repair Pal.
Dodge Ram 1500 #4, Ram 1500 #1🤔 Ya think?
You do an awesome job on your videos sir
Clickbait. Has very little to nothing to do with the title. 👎
A) don't believe websites and statistics.
B) There is far more to what makes a verhicle a good vehicle other than simply reliability.
Transmission failure isn’t factored in this list.
What?!
@@DeathsInverse it’s kinda a joke since Ram was in 1st place. 2023 truck is too new to have the tranny go out. Wait for about 1-2 years.
gmc/chev have major trainsmission issues. Ask me how I know
How you know?
How can ram and dodge ram hold two different spots wasn't number one supposed to be toyota.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's the difference between a Ram 1500 and a Dodge Ram 1500?
no idea i thought ram was it's own segment and not affiliated with dodge anymore
🤷♂️I had the exact same question
since the 2010 model year the answer has been “RAM.” 1981 - 2009 Dodge Ram.
@@MJ-fj9yv yea but this was an avoid in 2023 list…probably a typo
I think that the “Dodge Ram 1500” being referred to is the “Classic” since it is still being produced and is a very different truck.
The F-150 suffers from normal tire ware. Try to avoid! The GM trucks don’t suffer from that issue! SMH
Add Ford Maverick Hybrid to the list.
Since purchase 3000 miles.
I had 2 engine check lights.
And 2 other issues, and its still in repair.
So 3000 miles, 4 different issues. 3 of them affecting driving.
Toyotas, Fords, and Rams look good and drive good. I would be willing to repair and/or aftermarket upgrade. I would also be likely to keep those brands long term. GM and Nissan, hard pass. Don’t care for them new and without problems, definitely wouldn’t care for them with some miles and issues.
😂 Nissan be like, so outdated it’s virtually bullet proof…Endurance!
Bs toyota most reliable
best truck to buy is none of them thanks
