Retired now since a long time, but my business made manual reset units via long cable to pull. Ours are 50' and 25'. Shoot from the hip. Mine were 5 on a rack. reset the rack.
Where you put the hinge bolt, you can modify that to have a arm on the side that a rope could be used to reset the target from the firing point... We make receptors that capture the lead for reuse... Our flip target all have a arm for reset so no one ever needs to go down range. If you are interested we would be willing to share most of our designs with you...
I am familiar with that resetting feature. That also requires the device to be pegged to the ground so it won't move when the rope is pulled and stands must be similarly staked down. That's what they use when there is a common firing line where going down range is not permissible. This particular style is used where the stage is completely bermed and going down range to reset targets is commonplace. Cowboy Action shooting matches. These are for use with shot gun$ of course.
@@woodandmetalshoptime8048 Good to hear. Our goal in what we do is to assist more of our neighbors (fellow Americans) to be proficient in the use of their tools for self defense. Our lead capturing targets make plinking cheaper if they are making their own ammo. We have a 3 hole knock down with a face that shows where you are missing while sighting in a scope. It is a steel face and used at the distance where the tool in question won't pass through the 3/16 to 3/8 plate (depends on what the person wants)... We have had disappointing times at our local gun shows but I believe that is mostly due to city people not having the space for doing this safely at home. I have been suggesting that we find a more rural show and take a gamble on a trip... We are based near Wichita Kansas. Good luck in all that you do!
Saving and processing the lead may only appeal to a very small minority of shooting hobbyists since cast lead (and now the popular HiTek coated) projectiles are ubiquitous and moderately priced. As a product differentiator, it may be a very small niche market. Used to be the projectile was the most expensive component in rolling your own, now it's the primer.
I was hoping to see a unique self setting mechanism for them. Having to walk downrange every time can slow things down. One of the reasons dueling trees are so popular as they incorporate a ramp the arm swings on from side to side automatically resetting themselves. I have made a few of those. Painting the target with florescent paint or whatever allows you to see hits for several rounds before repainting is needed. Even though a hit is obvious people want to know how close to center they are.
I have to admit I have been around firearms all my life and I am well into my seventies yet I have never heard baby talk such as PewPew used as a synonym, in fact I had neve heard the phrase at all. Didn't know what you were talking about until I saw the layout. Seems a shame people cannot be straight forward in this day and age. Yet nobody blinks when this country is the biggest arms merchant in the world by quite some margin! I guess such phrases seek to cover up the fact that firearms exist while this country profits handsomely off creating wars and conflicts to sell ever more of all sorts of weapons. Many of a much greater magnitude than any firearm. Dishonesty in all things, vocabulary included is the modern credo.
With all the words in the English language why Pew-Pew? I know Pew-Pew is taking over gun owns vocabulary. But I am sorry, in my opinion the only time when a man should Pew-Pew is when he is playing with their grand kids.
Nice work on these targets. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Awesome! Thank you!

Gun club has some of those. Plate racks.

Great job Frank, sad state of affairs where social media represses creativity.

Some have remote resets. These obviously don't. Ordered that way. These are for Cowboy Action Shooting matches.
Are the targets AR steel? (abrasion resistant) It holds up much better over time if calibers above .22 are used.
These are shotgun targets so A36 is sufficient (and about 1/3 the cost). I have used AR500 for others.
I wonder what a Roller Compactor Attachment would look like.
Great video Frank! To hell with Traci, Gerald and Dave. They're just whiners looking for something to cry about. Keep up the good work Frank.
Sorry for my ignorance, but I don’t know what a pew -pew is ?
Put springs on them so they come back up
You get scored by knock downs. If they come back up...who knows?
Kinda hard to calibrate the spring strength for each caliper.

UA-cam police caused Pew Pew.
Never heard the term “pew-pew receptor” out of Hicock45’s mouth.

What exactly is a Pew Pew?
A gun
With all the words in the English language why Pew-Pew? I know Pew-Pew is taking over gun owns vocabulary. But I am sorry, in my opinion the only time when a man should Pew-Pew is when he is playing with their grand kids.
Widely used on UA-cam...but yeah, I get it.
Because some people on social medias think fire arms are bad and try to ban the videos that talk about them.
Why would you take a commission to build something you are ashamed to say out loud?
Shame has nothing to do with it. Get it?
UA-cam censors would ban his video if he said the word Tar get
