For anyone wondering, the chopper has to get really low at 1:14 because the driver went across the landing path of commercial airplanes at the LAX airport. Clever guy, he kept going up and down that same path until he lost the helicopters chasing him. That’s the reason you see so much beach and long-zoom shots, the helicopter had to keep going underneath the no-fly zone and then find the car chase again.
That's exactly 300m/s. Which is a strange value for the calculation to cap out at. Most road legal cars stay under 100m/s, and even 150m/s is in the ballpark of land record kinds of speeds, so I don't understand why they wouldn't have chosen a nicer figure, like 200m/s.

Didn't seem like that many, besides maybe they didn't know how many people were in the vehicle and/or if they were armed so they sent a bit more than they needed just in case. That isn't even a lot of police for such a big city as San Francisco, obviously a tiny city would have less cops.
