This video was extremely helpful. Thanks for making it - and I love the top down point of view.
Do you have a video of putting it back together?
Did you ever find a rebuild vid
@@boy8631did u find a rebuild video??
Tank you this is a pretty bad ting to dissasembly the engine completely to change a gear . my first gear is making noise like a broken teeth . I need to do the job before selling it .

Thanks for the video, is there a follow up with assembly and torque specs please
Question ! I know some bikes you can change the Gear change Shaft without having to remove head and barrel , and splitting the cases . Do you know if you can change the G/C shaft just by removing the pri cover and clutch ?
10:40 Am i able to only take off this side to remove the shift shaft?
where do you get your new gasket kits?
Hi there, thanks for the great video. My grandson also has a ttr50 with exactly the same transmission damage. After I pulled the engine down and inspecting the parts, I noticed an arrow on the small gear that connects to the primary gear. Where does the arrow point to on reassembly? Thank you.
Same exact thing that happened to my ttr50.
and this is why people buy Hondas! $ ) Jk. I like them all the same. They all have pros and cons. Thanks for watching! www.midnebraskamotorsports.com/
@@MidNebraskaMotorsports do you have an assembly video or do you know where you can find further assembly instructions?
Is there a rebuild kit for this? Or a complete top end and bottom end rebuild kit available? Just picked up a 2012 that needs tlc
Do u have to pull the clutch out to split the main case
Off subject , kinda ... on a TT-R 50,
ever experience a running engine just cut in and out while riding ? Almost like hitting the kill switch on and off then eventually its dead. Then you can sometime crank it and fires right up, but then does the same thing again?
Would a bad coil be intermittent ? Or are they normally “all or nothing”? I tried metering it out and from the power terminal to ground it’s good (.3ohms) but from the plug wire to terminal, nothing ? But the bike will still start up, run but then die out. I’ll order a new one and try it.
Update! Bad CDi Changed it out and Voilà! Like new
How about the reassembly?
Hi, great video. I’m rebuilding the same engine that had a gear box issue. Do you know the torque settings for the clutch and flywheel??
Ever find one?
