I used to tease a friend when shopping. This and this can make a reasonable whiskey, or these 3 items can make a really tasty rum. LOL. Followed all of it Beaver. Thanks. :) (I use the last method for filling 10 liter barrels, after double distilling)
Hi Dave, It is funny when you are a home distillers how the super market turns into a recipe shop and you try and think of ways to ferment and distill weird and wonderful things from seemingly random things.
Happy I found you. Been looking at Stilit for some time. Hier in Argentinië is dit wettig om jou eie te maak so ek leer nou hoe. Ons het ook byekorwe en daat is baie heuning.
Funny, the “let’s see what sticks method” gave me my easiest shine recipe to date. I have to conceal the hobby because I have someone living with me that would definitely out me. I use a normal brew bucket, and mix turbinado sugar and frozen blueberries. EC-11118 yeast. I bottle some (so make sure to use proper sanitization techniques) I let the house drink the bottled stuff if they like. The rest I double pot still in a little covert stock pot still. Multiple small runs throughout the week when I have alone time. I use it as a mixer with diet lemonade. The slight blueberry and rum flavors blend well together with it. I used to use bakers yeast. That all came from me walking around a Walmart and Home Depot one day trying to figure out how to get into the hobby covertly.
Hi Fabb, Yeah I am busy with a few silly things with molasses, not sure how many of the tests are going to make it to the channel but hey it is a mess and well the results always make it worth the mess.
Good to see u back beaver, need some help. I found a fly in my sugar wash while i was taking an sg test. Am worried whether it might catch an infection, any advice
Dankie Beaver, baie interessant. Gaan more iets soek om te maak. Wil net weet hoeveel smaak kom deur in die alcohol. Jou plek lyk bak gat Dankie vir jou moeite Pieter
If I was a smarter man I will come up with a cool story, but just a wood working accident cut off both pointer and middle finger they managed to save the middle finger, if they didn't I would have had a very hard time communicating.
I've made a few strange "wines" using (found this in the supper market) method one. Some worked out great and some not, the latter went in the pot still to see what happened. Again some turned out good and some not, the latter went in to a sugar wash and through the reflux. Nothing wasted, except me.
You didn't say how you would use the peels of the citrus to extract the sugars from it... I have a ton of oranges too, I only use the squeezed juice for fermentation ...
I just got done with method #2.🤣🤣🤣🤣 Someone gave me 320 pounds of free organic bananas. It was a steep fast learning curve figuring that one out.🙄 If anyone is interested there’s some videos on my channel on how that adventure went. Enjoyed this video. Good stuff.👍🥃
Hi Bill, That tends to happen, here is a tons of this and what do I do now, normal the work in processing the products take a hell of a long time and if you don't have the right equipment to process the Macgyver comes to play....

@BEAVERDIY you could say you got into a fist fight with an angry beaver and he fought dirty and bit it off.. and that's how you got your name..

Hi Led,
Yeah when you are in the hobby nothing is ever wasted if in doubt run it, it can always be turned into Neutral.
Cheers

Great content, but the RGB is super annoying to look at and looks totally out of place!
