Editorial notes:
-We lost ALL of the hand held video when my iPad crashed on the last day of the trip. That made me a tad grumpy. Still does. But there is still some phone video, and of course, drone video.
-I am a certified 107 UAS pilot here in the States but this is my first time flying a drone in Italy. I did not want to be the obnoxious foreigner flying a drone all over and making a scene. So there are no FPV shots racing down the streets. Maybe next time...

Glad it helped! If you want, I've got some other videos on the channel that cover some of the day trips we did while we were staying in Tropea. Would definitely recommend Pentedattilo, Pizzo, Scilla and a couple others (they're on the videos). Have a great time!

This is awesome thank you. We are planning a trip in mid may as well. Btw, was the water too cold for a swim? Were the lido closed?

Hi - we’re glad you liked the video! The water was cold but people were still swimming (I only dipped my feet in.) I think the lido were officially closed (nobody was around and the offices were locked up) but there were still people at the beaches. The nice thing was that there was hardly anyone on the beaches. We have watched videos in Tropea from the summer and the beaches are packed. Much fewer people in May.

@@donfluso9042 Sadly I was with no cat food but the cats get a very fresh fish every morning directly from fishing boats. So looks like they have not a big expectations from tourists :)
@@MediaGraphica they all looked well fed in Tropea 👍 I actually stayed in Pizzo and the situation over there was difficult for cats to survive 😓 there was an old lady who was looking after the stray cats and I bought her a lot of catfood before I left
I’m going the first week of May this year, how high did the temperatures get in the day on average?
That’s when we were there too! It would be fun if you can catch anything of the festivals there. We got really lucky with our weather. For the most part it was sunny and clear-ish during the day. It got cooler at night (light jacket at most). So I think you can get away with enough for cool nights or a windy cloudy day if you get unlucky - sweatshirt and/or light jacket. Have fun!

What was the cost of the apartment? looks amazing
I think it was about $140/night, but it probably depends on what time you book for. I would check on the website to double check for a specific time. www.ilconvento.com

Did you need a jacket in May ?
Not during the day but you could put on a light one at night to be comfortable. I didn’t but my wife did.

Excellent! The location is great and the rooms are very nice. Have fun! (I actually just saw a video on UA-cam where one of the other apartments was for sale - can't remember how much it was though)
