Calabria is one of the most underrated and least visited regions in Italy. Today I bring you to the seaside town of Pizzo, whose beauty would even make a Puglia fan blush. @@amorepsyche808That’s why it’s beautiful. Southern Italy was once reasonably rich, populous and successful and then its economy so stagnant with a great population exodus that modern politicians and developers haven’t had the finances to wreck the architectural beauty built during the Golden Age.

@@amorepsyche808there isn’t enough incentive for people making a living…. Especially the younger generation, those little towns away from a water source is always hard to maintain

Grazie! I just adore all your videos. The underrated part of your video is the restaurants that you find in the specific city you're visiting. Some of them look so good that I would want to go there just to eat at the restaurant. 28 countries but Italy is one that I haven't been to yet, for a reason.

Oh my....❤I love Italy used to live there, the last 5 years every time for 2 months. Battipalia is the most South I have been. Unfortunately, I have no Italian ancestors but Hungarians/Bavarians. This little city is gorgeous, and I hope to be there sometimes. Thank you for showing it.

Hi. Did you film this in the first week of October? We stayed in Pizzo then. My wife said one evening she saw you. We even sat at the very same table you had the ice cream. Although we had a beer. I just wish my wife said something, as we would have said hello. Great videos. You've inspired us to book a holiday in Puglia, we are staying in a Trulli.
I was actually there twice, the first time was just to enjoy Pizzo… then a week later to film :-). I’m glad you enjoy! When you see me next time in Puglia stop me and we’ll share a beer!
Just stunning views of the beautiful Calabrian way of life. My wife and I wish to purchase a small house/apartment in Italy but are so unsure as to "where" to do it. I spent all of my time in Sicily (near Catania) but absolutely love Roma, y Verona..y Firenze...y Milano....y, well you get the picture. What you have exhibited here is spot on but leaves me just as uncertain and confused. Dio Mío!
You mean “e”, spanish use “y”, italians “e” for “and”.
In Italy we speak italian/regional languages and dialects, not spanish.
Your videos are top notch. #2 has everything! So rare to find three separate bathrooms. The ocean! W/D is a must though.

Seems like the inside of the buildings in Calabria are much more square vs Puglia. I love the star vaulted ceilings of Puglia. Even tho I am Calabrese. 😂. Look forward to the next.

Grazie! it's a lovely seaside town by all appearances. I liked the first house best, did not care at all for #2, could see potential in the 3rd. I am again surprised at prices, especially when there are needed repairs---I guess I've looked mostly in Abruzzo where clearly one gets more bang for the buck. One thing I don't understand---on this and many other channels---is how fully functional spaces, especially bathrooms, are always said to be in need of updating/renovating, apparently just because they don't look contemporary. Sometimes, in fact, the 50s, 60s, and 70s bathrooms are really nice! I really appreciate when the floors throughout a property are shown clearly, thanks for doing this in most rooms.

Glad to see listings in Calabria. All three had their own charm. How much you can afford to renovate is the question. I like anything with an ocean view! Who wouldn't want to live in Pizzo, the city of ice cream ; )

Ive been to Pizzo! Almost bought a small villa in Zambrone overlooking the sea with an incredible views of the sea and beach. Tropea is awesome and south of Tropea beautiful beaches too. We loved eating dinner on the piazza in Pizzo and watching the sunset then eating Tartufo!
I LOVE your videos. Would you mind mentioning the prices of some of these meals. It would be helpful to know if one lives in these areas it would help to see what sort of budget one would need to eat out at least once a week. Do you remember how much the meal cost you?

Pizzo is amazing. Its hard to argue with house 3 because of the outdoor space but also liked 3 bed 3 bath if house 2. My grandparents are from Reggio de Calabria but i never see any videos from there. Also love your appetite. Manga

Hi, thank you for this video. Pizzo is beautiful. I would love to see some houses ( not too big, around 100-150 sqm) that are a short walk or bike ride from a picturesque village but with a small garden and terrace, with views of countryside/sea. Preferably within 20-30 mins of the sea and a larger town. Under 150 000 Euros. I know, I know, but it is after all the dream 😁
Not really a dream, you can find really cheap houses in Calabria.
