Damasko and Archimede have always been my favorite sport watches…ended up going with the former, but the Archimede watches are awesome.

I’ve been looking at this watch for years and just cant seem to pull the trigger on it. Thanks for the review.

Same for me. Custom fees + shipping are not helping...

A simple and quite perfect EDC watch

I own the Outdoor 39 and am a large fan of this watch. It has clean styling and functionally is as good as any GADA watch out there -- without being an explorer/sinn/hamilton/aquaterra copy. The design is actually more akin to an Orfina Porsche design from the 70s/80s or a Tudor Northflag.

I was so excited when I saw the thumbnail, the Outdoor 41 is one of my grails. When I saw a DLC version, I couldn’t believe it. My heart sank when I saw the dainty measurements. I mean 39mm is small for me, then you add in a 18mm lug width and you have something even more tiny than my RZE Ascentus. Too bad. Well, the steel Outdoor 41 is still on the list.
Funny you bring up StrapHabit, I just got one today for my Karlskrona Hemlig which I got last week. It came on a NATO, which I’m not a fan of. The grey sailcloth strap with the black hole reinforcement strip is perfect. I’m a convert to StrapHabit.
Anyway, fun to see you cover Archimede again, thanks for the fun review!
    *edit*
Ok, with the wrist shot, it doesn’t look too small at all (our wrists are the same size).

A couple of comments on size. I own the 39 Outdoor with a 7 in wrist. The face is 33mm which is about like many of my 40-41mm watches, so it tends to wear bigger than one would think. Your Ascentus is probably similar with a smaller face but a pronounced bezel. The black pvd on the version in the video though tends to make the watch feel smaller I would think. Finally on the band, the 18mm is under the case with the actual band being about 20 mm on the outside. This is much like how casios use a 16mm-18mm band on a Gshock. Most don't realize this puts less stress from torsion on the springbars and makes the band system stronger.

It's such a cool watch! I'm just really not a fan of integrated bracelets/bands, without it I'd have pulled the trigger as it's such a nice outdoors watch.

It is not exactly integrated. It is a 20mm strap that steps down to 18mm. Your options are to use the Archimede straps or trim another down(easy on rubber/silicone). I like bracelets so it is not an issue but I do understand your objection. Truth is that this case really goes better with its bracelet than most straps imho.

Has Archimede upgraded the bracelet clasp on the 39mm Outdoor?

I like dlc watches but the dlc bracelet are a must for me at least

I am targeting outdoor 41 but the straps option was a dealbreaker. Did you order any watchhabit strap for 41?What does fit (the same as for 39 or)?
    Thank you

Is this one also “mill gauss” casing?

No, I believe you have to step up to the 41mm for the anti mag protection
