When I was growing up my parents took me to see professional ballet and modern performances and didn't enjoy them. I thought I would never like watching dance. One of Project 21s videos came up randomly on YT and I was mesmerized. I'm now a visual artist and I'm overwhelmed by the power and creativity in these dances, Molly's and the other choreographers at P21. Under Pressure and Desoleil are my favorites and I've watched them many times. Thanks to Molly for giving me the chance to really appreciate dance and to you for interviewing her.

I think she was one of the first choreographers to not have the kids always dance in unison. Also one of the first to get more adult moves from the kids.

if you go to project on S8 then you have to audition again for S9? I thought they always had a spot saved for previous students! Please have Reagan and dyllan! btw I can´t belive I watched the entire video, it was almost as long as a movie lol why did you ou leave P21 back then?
You have to re-audition every year but I don't think there's every been one person that is already on the team, that hasn't made it the next year, so I think it's more for Molly to see how new dancers fit with the current dancers

Musicality in dance is how a dancer hears the music they are dancing to, and how they interpret it into the moves they make. Musicality in dance can be interpreted in different ways that are specific to the dancer

Wait she was 16 during my boyfriends back? Isnt molly 31? That doesnt make sense, because if thats the case, Autumn wouldve been 6 and i thought she was 8?

Molly talking about no parents in the studio ... drop off , and pick up later ... During Covid ... Almost all studio's adopted that policy.
I know of some studio's haveing a mirror widow room , room ... Were the students can't see who's watching them through the window ... and not get distracted from class time . 🙂

I'm curious why so many p21 dancers seem to have gone? Like Cali, kendyl, diana and Isabella, madison, dyllan, ..some might have graduated,im not really familiar with how that works, but so many seem to have left in the past few years
True. And I've noticed a lot of them going to MDC...
most dancers do not stay at the same studio for the entirety of their life....if every studio was followed as CLOSELY as project 21, people would realize this is very common :)
I wouldn't say A LOT of them.....a very select few, tbh
