As a person whose never really cared for baseball, the WBC got me hooked. What a great tournament this was. Always great to see players represent their countries in a sport they love.

The world doesn’t understand local us rivalries between cities to others Texas is the same as California it’s just the US. That’s why I think you should stop calling it the World Series…..it is deciding the best team in the world I understand but there are more viewers around the world than in the us alone the wbc was just so much more fun for all of us outside the IS

I hope those Japanese players stop being recruited by MLB. It just goes to show they’re getting help from Japanese leagues to excel because American baseball is not the same as before. The Japanese are so sound, dedicated and focused, they present no problems, that’s why they like them.

This was honestly the best baseball I’ve seen since I was a kid! Every game mattered, the knockout rounds, nobody went down easy which made for amazing close games, star studded teams showed the power they truly hold, underdog stories, and my personal favorite, the best v the best with everything on the line! Thank you WBC, this was awesome!

@@Aace00 Agreed. Yoshida should have won the MVP but Ohtani is a force of nature now so everything he does gets 10x the recognition, but Ohtani vs Trout matchup was everything everywhere everyone had hoped for and it came true.

Never took much for me to love baseball. Always been my favorite game. This tournament was something special though. Might have been the best and most fun baseball tournament I've ever really watched. What an instant classic.
I love the story behind the Czech team. They're gonna go back to the Czech Republic and continue their normal lives as teachers, electricians, and neurologists, after they, among other things, struck out Shohei Ohtani and cranked a homer out of the Tokyo Dome for a W. Crazy story behind those guys.
The seen of got a strikeout from Shohei Ohtani is unforgettable. And above all, sincerity for baseball. It was wonderful.

Masataka Yoshida is marvelous
The performance of Japan was outstanding to say the least. Personally, Ukyo Shuto reaching a sprint speed of 30.4 ft/s (ELITE) and reaching home plate from 1st base in only 10.3 seconds (3.08 seconds from 3rd to home) helped Murakami's walk-off, so it should be more evaluated.
It’s a shame how overlooked it is. Possibly the best base running ever seen.

WBC 2023 has definitely brightened the future of baseball.
As a Canadian, I always thought that baseball was mostly played in the USA and a few other countries but I realize that the game is now played in several countries around the world. This is absolutely great for the game. There is so much talent in many countries. As a hockey fan also, the same thing is happening with hockey. I don’t know if the pitcher from Nicaragua (Hebbert) has been drafted by a MLB team but make no mistake, this guy is ready to play in the major leagues. He will be sensational.
As an American I would love to see a couple Mexican teams in MLB. This tournament was like the Olympics of baseball and it was awesome. Many props to all the teams in the final, especially Japan. Hat's off from The Americas 👍🏻 Oh and I live in the PNW and we just got a hockey team in Seattle, so Go Kraken! 😉

This World Baseball Classic was phenomenal. Can't think a better ending with Trout and Ohtani.
I had so much fun watching this tournament. It was everything I could have hoped for.

Ohtani vs Trout duel was legendary, but Mexico vs Japan was another thing all together. A lot happened on that game and honestly it feels like some Shonen Manga stuff there. How Japan almost lost everything, with a monster called Randy Arozarena, and then Yoshida game changing Homer. Epic
All teams played with pride and gave it their all. And many kids were fascinated by their play and will make it their goal. The biggest winner is baseball.
It was so painful to see Mexico walk out the classic like that, they did great, any of the final four nations would've made a great WBC champion, what a classic, what an amazing baseball display from beginning to end, absolute magical tournament.
Mexico was awesome.

This is what baseball is all about! The most impredictable of all sports. So full of atheticism, power, emotions. This where these athletes show what it is to love your country and feel honored by being able to represent them in such a high level competition. Congrats to Mexico for giving such hard battles! Congrats to Japan for being the new champiion! Congrats to my home country Nicaragua for showing they deserve to be there! Congrats to all! Best WBC to date!

My favorites are Trea's Grand salami, Murakami's Walk-off double, and "Round ONE".
I also love Lindor's "Little League Homer" and Yu Chang's Grand Salute🙋♂. Baseball is fun!
Not a baseball fan, but my kids play little league and love Ohtani. This Classic was great and seemed like the fans and players alike loved it for the most part. Wish hockey (the sport I follow) found a way to spark something like this did for baseball. Well done!

Haven't watched baseball since 2011. Tuned in to WBC because my girlfriend was in Japan at the time. Saw the semi finals and finals and was hooked. Now i'm following Ohtani and the Angels and bought my first MLB jersey for Ohtani lol. Looking forward to the next WBC in 2026.
