Tom Jones is a Welsh singer who has one of the smoothest powerful voices around. And he was a showman too, in fact he was a big heart-throb with the ladies. He has so many hits such as "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat?", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "She's a Lady" etc. He covers a lot of genres. He is still performing & is a coach on "The Voice" UK version. He also had a variety show from 69 - 71 & had some of the biggest music stars at the time.

You could do Tom Jones singing ‘’l’ll never fall in Love Again from the sixties and then see him on The voice UK. The son of the man who wrote the song, came in as an audition and when it was revealed he was the son of Lonnie Donegal, the song writer, they sing it as a duet on the spur of the moment. "It's almost like you see all the incredible talent, but you can't quite pick up on what it is." Exactly. I've seen/heard this performance countless times over the years, but his delivery is just so natural, so apparently effortless, that the mechanics behind the magic are just too elusive to catch - and, certainly, to dissect - at times. Everything just flows right by (or through?) you - as any great performance should. It all seems to be completely second-nature to him. There was a great quote by someone (can't remember who). They were talking about some professional athlete's ability and said that it was like watching someone doing something they've always known as opposed to something they had to learn. I feel the same way about Jones as a vocalist and performer. A true master of his craft.

I saw him 5 years straight in the early 1970s in Las Vegas when he was at Cesar's Palace. Believe me, no one was disappointed. You would have be blown away at how he could control the audience. How he got the men involved was so well done. Many a time I heard men before entering the showroom say they were only there because their wife or girlfriend wanted to see him. On the way after the show I would often hear, "We're coming back next year to see Tom" (notice on the 1st name basis). He was certainly quite a showman who played to the whole audience. Interestingly, that also came across in his recordings.

Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck were the two great British male singers from back in the 60's. Engelbert's voice was right up there with Tom's but Tom was more dynamic and the better showman. It's so great that you do the older singers as well as the new.
Speaking of new can I make a suggestion for Lucy Thomas, an English girl, from four years ago at the age of 15 singing 'Listen' from Dreamgirls. It's a difficult song and she nailed it. Also the video is entirely close ups of her singing so you get to see all of her workings as she sings. She has about sixty videos on her UA-cam channel 'Lucy Thomas Music' and some of them are duets with her nearly six years younger sister Martha.

Can't blame you for fangirling a little bit. I think of him as one of the greatest baritones ever, but he can sing some pretty high notes, so he covers a lot of tenor territory too.
My parents had me singing "It's Not Unusual" on a reel-to-reel around 1970, when I was 3 years old. I was taking liberty with the lyrics, singing "It's Not Unwoosual". Sir Tom and the Beatles were my biggest influences when I was young for singing and guitar playing, learning solo singing from Tom, and harmonizing from the lads from Liverpool.

I enjoy his singing more now than l did years ago. Al Green, Sam Cooke and James Carr have been favourites for years but Tom has such power and confidence in his ability. It’s such a shame we no longer hear great singers

I remember seeing this performance and this video replays it well. Tom Jones was a master at singing most any song. During his time as a performer, he was one of the 'sexy singers'! lol

Saw Tom on Aussie tv singing briefly with John Farnham. That was th only time I ever thought Farnham needed more power to compete!

You know why I keep coming back to watch your reactions. Its because you are so open and honest and cute with the way you struggle to find what you want to say when really you end up saying what you thought. Bass. Luv ya. Lol keep doing yer thing.

I feel you were captivated by him; not as a vocal Coach, but as a beautiful young lady feeling he was singing only to you! I love your video! ❤️

He got his first break to fame on a tv talent show in the 60’s called “Opportunity Knocks” a sort of forerunner to Britain’s Got Talent, which he won

You have a very expressive face, which serves you well when making reaction videos. It's fun seeing something about what's going on in your head even when you're not talking to us
