Hi decorator from Leicester here great to see the techniques I was taught being showcased 👏🏼 just like I was an apprentice again 😃
Thank you.. 👍👍
Good brushes, good paint, good technique and patience. Vital ingredients
Thank you..
This had become one of my favourite and most watched channels on UA-cam. Thanks Gents.
Thank you glad you enjoy..
and he did it holding a camera brilliant
Great video fantastic job 🇬🇧👍
Thank you.
I have to tape off the stringers I paint as most are very dark yellowed and this technique shows the edge, it's OK for a freshener though.
'Painting and Decorating', no one knows what his name is or where he's from but basically he's a genius.....
And there's two versions of him, legend says he can change his appearance
Brilliant job mate
Argh! doing the stairs probably the hardest job in decorating.
Can you do a video of your van and how you store things? Thanks 👍
Sorry don't have a van anymore.. went back to a car.. more convenient.. will do a video on getting ready for a job.. and how I load my car.. thanks
@@PaintingandDecorating where is this video?
Masking tape saves you SO much time and fuss if you do it properly 👍🏻
Did you vacuum first? Nothing worse than a brush full of carpet fibres and all manner of contamination dragged into the finish. Tape for me. Cleaner finish.
Always vacuum and run some sandpaper just round the edge, to get rid of any carpet fluf.. no problem.. never use tape 99% of the time.
Nice and easy does it.
Thanks
Hmmm trouble is Dulux trade satinwood is a nice finish but will be yellowed in a matter of months, i would not use on any of my customers premises.
It won't yellow in 6 months takes a lot longer than oil gloss to yellow.. and if enough natural light usually won't yellow.. thanks
👍👍👍
Thank you
NOOICE!
👍👍
Can you do this with water base because it’s a quicker dry time?
Yes, keep temperature down work fast, no problems. Sometimes thin when required. Thanks
Get the tape out
White on white, what about an existing saturated colour?
Same principle really all depends on the carpet. 9 out of ten times no tape needed..
@@PaintingandDecorating Thanks.
Just tape it not rocket science 😳
Tape can cause problems especially using oil . 99% of the time never use tape..
Yes tape, ive never had any problems and ive been in trade 46 years.
No need for that much care. Just slip a very thin peace of cardboard down the back u be done in no time bin doin it for yrs
