Thank you so very much to "Hand Built Cars" for making this wonderful video! This was my son's car, and it was his amazingly detailed work, and his money, that were invested in it...for his own enjoyment. You have made an incredible keepsake for him! He would have disagreed with the title about it being a resto, perhaps, as that wasn't his actual intent, and it's a bit misleading...but who cares? It was his project, his fun. He wanted to make this CRX to be a stunning and original statement of his own...and he did. I loved that thing! Thanks for all the thumbs up from many of you watchers, and this is by way of explanation to the haters who were stuck on the word "restoration".

Apart from the wheels not been factory. Did he recondition the Engine or replace it?

Man.... all that work, literally touched every nut & bolt on the entire car, and then the extreme overkill of red accents in the interior.. I mean to each their own and not trying to take anything away from the builder but it would’ve been nice to see it kept at factory spec. Still a job very well done though.

I've been watching a LOT of restoration-type videos recently which is probably why this popped up for me. I noticed there were a lot of comments about the red accent NOT being spec which was apparently a problem for some people given the title of the video. While I am not a fan of them myself, I didn't need to be to appreciate the video. I liked how you showed the before and after for all the refurbishment projects. I showed just how much work you put into this project. And I personally think the bigger take away is that you don't need to have a bunch of fancy equipment to do a project like this. Case in point - you built your own paint booth and used your shower to wash parts (If there was a lady in your life at the time, I'm confident I appreciated that a little more than she did). All-in-all, great work and thank you for sharing it.

Lol....I was 20 in 1989 and bought my Black 89 CRX Si brand new. Loved that car.....will forever be my favorite car. Not sure why I traded it several years later, but man I’d love to get that car back. Doubt it even exists anymore....but, I’ve been looking and may find one to restore one day. I’d go back stock with anything I did with the dark interior...that interior was ahead of its time.

And the ridiculous front lights, rear door grille, and wheels. Basically it is not original factory condition.
And there's a question raised about the tempomat. All in all the quality of the build is awesome, why would anyone use that shitty looking aftermarket tempomat if there was OEM especially for USDM vehicles. not to mention that antenna module.
