Thank you so very much to "Hand Built Cars" for making this wonderful video! This was my son's car, and it was his amazingly detailed work, and his money, that were invested in it...for his own enjoyment. You have made an incredible keepsake for him! He would have disagreed with the title about it being a resto, perhaps, as that wasn't his actual intent, and it's a bit misleading...but who cares? It was his project, his fun. He wanted to make this CRX to be a stunning and original statement of his own...and he did. I loved that thing! Thanks for all the thumbs up from many of you watchers, and this is by way of explanation to the haters who were stuck on the word "restoration".
Lots of work and looks nice. Personally id like the interior to be totally stock but i can appreciate the work that went into this car
Totaly agree with you
“Factory Condition”
Apart from the wheels not been factory. Did he recondition the Engine or replace it?
Man.... all that work, literally touched every nut & bolt on the entire car, and then the extreme overkill of red accents in the interior.. I mean to each their own and not trying to take anything away from the builder but it would’ve been nice to see it kept at factory spec. Still a job very well done though.
Lmao I stopped watching the second I saw the red brake drum
Knt even begin to imagine the words to tell you how beautiful this job turned out on this beautiful/magnificent piece of work!!! Makes me have hopes for my 88 DX and pass it down to my son one day!!! Wow...just wow.
I've been watching a LOT of restoration-type videos recently which is probably why this popped up for me. I noticed there were a lot of comments about the red accent NOT being spec which was apparently a problem for some people given the title of the video. While I am not a fan of them myself, I didn't need to be to appreciate the video. I liked how you showed the before and after for all the refurbishment projects. I showed just how much work you put into this project. And I personally think the bigger take away is that you don't need to have a bunch of fancy equipment to do a project like this. Case in point - you built your own paint booth and used your shower to wash parts (If there was a lady in your life at the time, I'm confident I appreciated that a little more than she did). All-in-all, great work and thank you for sharing it.
You're built as an inspiration to all of us that have a car or project that needs to get done
oh damn that's red lodge Montana, I'm 30 miles from there, gorgeous town and amazing state. proud to be a local and great build!
Bravo! Words cannot express how an amazing this restoration is. That sir is my dream car.
Fantastic detail. More complete than any other video I've ever seen about a Honda CRX or Civic.
Love this. At 62 I don't think I could do anything near this. But she is still in pretty good shape. That interior!!
Another beautiful full restoration of a Honda CRX. Awesome job. Good as new 👍👍
you obviously like crx's. You did a very good job cleaning this one up. Looks good man. I hope you love it forever.
The cars you love are cool. You're a great champion.
Macchina perfetta, pari al nuovo, anzi, meglio del nuovo,e' a un livello di perfezione da concorso.straordinaria, complimenti
Amazing. Hard work really does pay off. Beautiful car.
Great work! I had a black 91 si back in the day. I miss that car.
Impresionante!!! Bravo!!!
Was my dream car in that time. Great job.
Best work guys
Absolutely incredible!
Incredible peace of expertise, bravo from kenya
My 88 CRX was my first new car and my all-time fav. Watching this video was beautiful.
Wow that turned out and looks amazing! I really appreciated this video! Must be so costly to do that!
turned out nice .
Sweet restoration
Would have ditched the headlights, interior red accents and gone with an older style wheel that fits the CRX era.
Forget the haters, it looks great! This car will now last longer then most new cars being built today. Keep up the great work.
I hope to be able to make at the end of the restoration of my CRX Vtec, a video like yours. 😃
My first NEW car was a 1989 Honda CRX DX in light met blue with dark blue interior. Great little car!!.. great on gas and very sporty!
this is too. much for me. great job. well done. plus i can't think how did you came out with plastics cuts from some kind of basket maybe to mount your speakers.. that's awesome and genius.
Que belleza de vehiculo 👍👍👋👋
Nice work. Would like all black interior.
Very nice detail on restoration of this wonderful honda however I would only consider it a resto mod.
Good Job its Looks Like A new Car
Should have gone to Specsavers lol
Making a rice look nice💯🔥
Impressive commitment, detail, documentation, and result.
I’ve never driven a CRX but heard that they are a lot of fun.
Do you enter it in car shows?
Beautiful restoration
That interior. Holly smokes man.
Very good amizing job
I really loved my 78 vw schirrocco but damn all that money and work into a budget car dude must have truly loved that car
Too beautiful. Nice
Nice job!
Very nice build and amazing work! I cringed when I started seeing red accents throughout. I guess the seats are cool, but all the other accents where a little too ricey.
Y'all really don't know what rice is. Rice is race inspired cosmetic enhancements. Red accents are not rice.
Congratulation! Very well done!
sweet crx.
Awesome job
Amazing rebuild, looks fantastic, the attention to detail is mind blowing. Can I send you my old R32B skyline?. 🇬🇧😉👍
A crazy job a big congratulations to you from France
Now sell it to me! What amazing work!
amazing work
I had mine when i was 22. bought it new in 1988. was my dream car then and is still today.
Lol....I was 20 in 1989 and bought my Black 89 CRX Si brand new. Loved that car.....will forever be my favorite car. Not sure why I traded it several years later, but man I’d love to get that car back. Doubt it even exists anymore....but, I’ve been looking and may find one to restore one day. I’d go back stock with anything I did with the dark interior...that interior was ahead of its time.
Me too. Still have it today and it is better than new in every respect. Love this car!
Nice love it this car
very nice build
Gud Honda Civic Nouva in Indonesia 🇲🇨
Nice build dude
Super travail 👍❤️👍👍❤️
Great job!
That's how it rolled off the line, even with that interior? Cool! I've never seen that EVER!
lol
i had a 88 crx in red all done up ! miss that car
Perfection
Good work
good joob greetings from Poland
I had a black 1991 Honda CRX VTEC EE8 and a white 1999 Honda ITR in 2008.
Now I have a cool fixed gear bicycle and didn’t drove a car anymore since 2016 .
Well done
This whole restoration was ruined by that abortion of an interior and over-judicious use of red accents.
Ruin, all look good except the interior red.
And the ridiculous front lights, rear door grille, and wheels. Basically it is not original factory condition.
And there's a question raised about the tempomat. All in all the quality of the build is awesome, why would anyone use that shitty looking aftermarket tempomat if there was OEM especially for USDM vehicles. not to mention that antenna module.
good joob bro...nice restoration
I just love it and i need it :)
Bien hermoso 🤩
A Dream 😍❤️
53:35 is one of those "Real Men of Genius" type moments 😂
Perfect
Quality. 👍
Clean
I was totally digging this and then my eyes started to hurt when the taillights went on...what just happened?
Turned out really good if I was doing that build I would have put a B series engine in it . looks great though.
inspiration
Cool 😎
OMG when I saw that hammer and chisel, there's so so much elbow grease!
very deceiving title, red accents are not original spec
Why you guys put the same mottor ?? Oh well nice great job
Restored to factory condition
Wish i had a garage to completely strip down my hatchback lol
Storage unit
Way much better then brand new! I wander how much would this car sell.. I guess around 50k…
if only I could get some parts to restore my CRX would be great .. in Mexico there is no variety and good prices for a restoration like that 😔 I love my CRX 🙄😀😀
Nice job! How much does it cost to do something like this?
Im not honda fanbiy, but this is niceee...
From Rice to Nice🤣
Amazing work, but in my opinion.. no red paint inside
Should have atleast up graded from dual point-to-multipoint fuel injection you had all the wiring out should have just popped in si wiring or converted dual point-to-multipoint and yes I do not agree with all the red accents and interior but your car still turned out great good job man
Love the crx I have a baby blue krx that’s my baby good job bro go k next
Very nice work, i personally wouldve kept the multiport. But its not my car. Do you bud#!!!
How long did it take you from start to finish?
You used carquest parts??? And you didn't even replace those upper control arms?? All this work to slack off in those areas?
No me imagino cuánto costará asi
I understand buddy but this car are meant to have dark interior or carbon fiber spoon style Honda is a car that is very judge trust me I would keep stock with b18,b16 to scream and stock and mean trust me but prompts for you hard work nicely done sir
Why?
nice build . . my only gripe is why the altezza tail lights/front headlights, why not OEM. and why the red trim interior . .i understand the carpet but why the red trims :(
Pretty sure my 03' accord just nutted in its oil pan. Screw the hating ass comments. I enjoyed the vid and use of red accents. Gj!
I have 2 questions how much did it cost to do the job with man hours and what is the car valued at seems like a lot of work for that type of car
