Chicken Coop POOP clean out door

- I added a clean out door and tray system to help me in cleaning out the chicken POOP from my chicken coop. Gross topic yes, but useful upgrade... even more YES! Also, please let me know if an updated chicken coop tour would be of interest to you guys. I've made several upgrades and changes in the last year or so and figured an update tour might be in order. I move my coop around with built on skids with my garden tractor. Works great and a whole lot less work. My coop has a wire floor so the poop falls through and can be easily washed with a hose. Always enjoy your videos Joe, thanks. Look east over the Rincon's and I'm there.

Nice! Yes, Joe. I'd be interested in seeing more of the coop. Possibly looking to build a winter coop closer to the house for when the snow is flying, and a smaller space would mean they cooks keep it warmer during the cold temps.

I use the same T-25 deck screws, they are definitely an improvement over # 2 square drive. Nice work.

I haven’t built my clean out yet. I built the nesting box last weekend based upon your feedback (no dividers). I have the poop door just no sliding mech.

Another nice video Joe. Always glad to have more coop videos although the nearest I get to a chicken is at KFC. You make all of the hard work that goes into your videos so easy and it would be simple to think that there is not hours of hard graft behind each video slot. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hello mate ! thank you for your time in the making of this videos ; which are a good source of information for the novice DIY guys like me . I got a question : I know you live in the desert and you probably don't get as much rain as we do here in Sydney , Australia ; my question is ,on a rainy day wouldn't you get water in your egg box through the gap where the hinges are ? we get days of continuous rain here in Sydney and I'm just wondering wether to make some mods. to your original design ? , thanking you again for your help ,kind regards , Juan Ferrari .

I'm wondering if you will need to create a short handled cleaner to assist you with cleaning out the trays. Something shaped like a rake. But with the ends formed to follow the contours of the vinyl tray bottoms. Maybe a wooden dowel with a plywood end would work. Just my 2 cents...LOL

I would really remove the handle and build a better attachable/detachable handles so it doesn't get cover in straw and poop.

Hi! I love your coop. In your video, I noticed the PVC pipe behind you up high on the coop. Is this used for water runoff? Can you do a video of your feeding and watering system?
