  • By popular demand, here is a supplemental video where I go over the three stitches more slowly, with a better camera angel, a different yarn and a better voice over. You can follow me along as I build a small swatch made of 10 stitches and three rows.
    Row 1: Foundation HDC.
Row: 2 HDC In the Front Loop.
Row 3: Extended HDC in the Front Loop.
Also, please don't miss my final words at minute 20:09. 😝😘❤️
    Video Chapters
    0:00 Intro
    0:49 Foundation HDC
10:01 HDC in the Front Loop
16:13 Extended HDC in the Front Loop
    20:09 Final words
If you liked what you saw and drew value from it, please feel free to click on the "Thanks" button and buy me a coffee! ☕️ ... and thank you in advance! ❤️

Oh, and on the clothes, just be comfortable. Any stitcher knows that to work on these projects for any extended period of time, comfort in your body is key to being able to focus on the work. Thank you for the re-do of the stitch. Very clear and I am excited to make a sweater for my Husband and one for me. You say this is just for men, buuuuut, since there are no measurements and it appears you size as you go, I am going to play with this extended HDC to make other structure changes as well. I have played with doing this before as I really hate most designs for women, and love the ones for men, so I have often tired to re-work the design for my small shoulders and big but. I am hoping to learn from you a better way to size as I go. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for doing this series.

Although I'm not an expert on crochet channels, I find your channel extremely refreshing and simple. I don't know if these suggestions are helpful or not but when you're showing stitches maybe a large wooden crochet hook with a bulky yarn could show how the stitch should be done better. It may help viewers to see the the stitches better. The other thing I noticed is background colors versus yarn colors. I'm not sure for tutorials which colors help the yarn show more. You don't have to spend a lot of money on a "professional" channel because that would take away from your style. It's awesome to see a down-to-earth, raw tutorial. Research channels like crochet with tiffany, bag o day crochet and creative grandma. Watch how they show close-ups of stitch tutorials. Pay attention to yarn color and background color to see definition. Hopefully it will help. Don't ever change the way you do things because it's your uniqueness that brings newness to
    UA-cam.

Great job Fabio! I believe after watching this video, everyone should completely understand how to make all the stitches. I don’t think it could have been any better. I love how you refer to the tops of the stitches as hearts💓 instead of V’s. I really like the way you start the fdc. It eliminates that “strange tail” that always sticks out when making it the traditional way. Thanks for that tip! You’re very considerate to explain why you are wearing what you’re wearing (red looks good on you), but I’m sorry that you had to at all. Why people feel the need to judge others on their appearance/clothing is beyond me, especially when tuning in to learn a crochet pattern, etc. It’s not like you’re doing an Only Fans channel. Though you’d probably do well there too😂👍🏻 Wonderful to see you’ve doubled your subscribers since the last video - congratulations! Cheers from FL😺

Love that you listen to your viewers. For your first row have you tried just doing the first row of a long tail cast on stitch for knitting? You just make it with your crochet hook, flip it and crochet half double crochet stitches for your first row. It looks exactly the same but goes incredibly faster!!!! Give it a try. Can't wait till you share some of your gorgeous patterns on your channel. Your work is gorgeous.🧶💕☺️

Great work Fabio. Definately rare to find good quality crocheted sweaters. I have been working with the half double crochet but through back of stitch. You have taught me more, thank you so much. I have been using Holst Garn yarns they equal a 3ply (light fingering) and plump up after soaking to remove spinning oil. Gives a light weight warm garment. So glad I stumbled across your channel. ❤
