System Data, or Other Storage, can take up dozens of GB of your iPhone or iPad storage. Deleting all of that Data is not really obvious, but in this video I'll show you exactly that! Please make sure to give me your feedback down bellow! - Наука та технологія
This is so not practical having to factory reset my phone every other week because system data takes up 40GB out of my 64GB.. Apple needs to fix this after all this time.
EDIT: You can absolutely use the method of doing a cloud backup and then restoring to it after reset. So many who say you can't but I have done it successfully each time. I also know that Apple has made this happen intentionally, they should be required to fix it though if you ask me.
yeah the should
So I have 512 GB but I have 200 GB of system data so how do I fix that
@@teammiauw4741 I factory reset my phone. A lot of tutorials say that you can't use a system restore point/backup because the system data will come back. However I restored my phone using a backup/restore point and it worked for me. Sadly the system data will build back to stupid amounts over time again but this is the only way. You DO NOT need to factory reset your phone though, USE a restore/backup point :)
@@squtzy thanks it better don’t get back to 200 GB☠️☠️☠️☠️
@@teammiauw4741 It probably will but hopefully not in a long time since they never fixed it, it's kinda deemed to happen. Hopefully though it will take a while before it gets filled up again :)
I think it’s the constant caches from logging into your phone and apps. It will just constantly grow and grow if you don’t restart or reset your phone regardless. But yea Apple should really fix this because sometimes I try to delete apps and it seems it doesn’t even help because it will just grow back to where I didn’t want it to be
true
why apple doesn’t really care about this
Prob because even you delete something it creates NEW data, so that’s what I think
@@n0t_EymZMoney?
@@LennyThePlatformerImpPuppet Like cancer, don't get any Iphone any more but I think its the same issue with Android only I can get more memory easy
That's also a really good solution in case you're planning to get a new iphone soon. Cleaning up the system completely will make a backup for the transfer of data more trash-free.
What does that mean
Nahhh I’m too scared for that💀💀
Have you figured something out till now?
This is one of the reasons why I regret getting an iphone
Same 😢
Right do to much for nothing
its also in Samsung
My 13 pro is 256GB but 75 GB is taken by system
Same😭😭😭
I’m so glad that this is a thing and I’m not alone 😭😭😭 I thought something was wrong with my phone.
same it takes half of my storage wtf
Iit take up 112gb of my 124 gb
Bro i know, i have 107GB on that shit

@@redimogen5693 same lmfao
I did this yesterday and gained around 8 gigs of storage on my 32-gig iPhone. Everything goes much faster if you use a password program app and install that 1st. That makes getting all your other apps up and running easier.
What will happen if I do it bro, do I lose something??
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I had 30 GB of SYSTEM DATA and my phone was constantly sending me the storage full message over the last 2 years!!!! It was driving me crazy - now it is dow to 1.96GB after following your steps. I appreciate you - FIVE STARS!
I have 105 GB 😂😂😂
@@noemihuszar5694me too bro I don’t get ot
You guys know how to handle that???
Will my pictures get deleted?

It’s insane that you can’t do this any other way.
Thank you so much! I got 40 GB off of the 64 GB I phone. Thank you so much for your help, you are amazing!
This worked great. Thank you!
Very helpful. Thanks!
Thanks Daniel it helps me a lot
Thank you so much for this. I have tried multiple ways for clearing the system data but each time, it keeps increasing. This one really works. Apple should fix this.
Very clear tutorial tips bro 😎 thanks buddy
Thank you - you're a lifesaver!
THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! I edited my videos on my iPad and only have 32GB so I can't allow 15 gbs to be taken
Thank you so much for your video. I had this issue on my iPhone, my system data was almost at 40GB 😢. I just followed your steps and everything worked perfectly.
Great video!! This is what i needed to see
Thanks Daniel. Big help for people like me whose phone has very minimal storage
Doesn't matter how big is your storage. Other system will be up to 100gb if your phone is 128gb.
Android we don't have this issue.
Absolutely THE BEST EXPLANATION EVER!!! I just finished doing this and I went from 32GB on my iPad to 11GB!!!! Thank you soooooo much!!! ❤
But you have to make sure you have backup all your app data such as WhatsApp. Cause WhatsApp messages might have been stuck uploading due to lack of storage at the first place.
How many time have to reset my phone🤦🏻♀️…. It taking up most of my space…. Is tr any other way… all my image is not in back up…. I don’t want to loose my images while resetting…
Apple need to give us choice to delete system data…
I was gonna do this, then I backed out because I wanted to write down all my passwords. It took away most my system data without losing anything. Very happy with that

So at what point did you back out to get this result please?

You might also try clearing the cache from your safari. My wife just did that and it wiped nearly 100gigs of system data storage off her iPhone 14 (she had been doing system back ups on her phones for the last three iPhones she owned, and never used iCloud before until she got the 14)
How do i clear my cache
@@celineleadimet1012 idk if u still need this but u just go to the safari app in settings and scroll down until you find the option to clear history and website data. I ended up clearing 30 gigs alone from this
BROOOO thank you so much I need this☺️
Thanx for the video... 👍🏻👍🏻
But what to do if "other" or "system data" still shows 31,9 GB after factory reset? And I set up the iPad as a new one.
Is the storage memory broken?
This guy is genuinely so chill
Not all of us use cloud services so this isn’t an option
only way u can do it lol
thank you for this video! Man, I was at dire needs. Iphone works great again!
Thanks to UA-cam without it we wouldn't have seen this great video. My first time commenting on video. Thank you Sir
Another thing that helps and is much simpler ==> Update your iPhone to the latest version.
I had 60GB of System Data and now it has come to 8GB. All the best
see i would do that but, i have no storage to update my phone
I did that with the iPhone 14 pro max but it still filled up again 😅
Thank you a lot man. I was confused, what to do ❤️
Very helpful, thank you 🎉 my system data before 90gb and after 9gb 😅
A while back when I had this issue on my iPhone 6 I contacted Apple support and I don’t know what they did on their end but they were able to remove my system data that was taking up space/storage without me having to reset my phone…… if only we knew how they’re able to do it….
Could you tell me how you did that plsss
@@J-Harrald no *in talking ben voice*
@@Headie0ne 👎🏾
They wont tell you because they lock the most basic functions away from the user.
Can you please answer this question what about game data will you have to start from the beginning take for some games I have like Mecha area, or Hogwarts mystery
I appreciate this video💯
Also the other storage category filling up quickly could also cause instabilities such as all apps crashing when you try to launch them or your device getting bricked and stuck in a boot loop if it crashes and automatically force reboots.
I’m so sick of iOS 😭😭😭
Thanku so much, that was very much helpful
Hi everyone i just have a question does anyone have this problem where my iPhone suddenly restart by itself sometimes when it’s charging and sometimes when i turn on wifi and then the notifications freezes my phone and then it restarts, it used to happen with my friend’s phone (11 pro max) and now it’s with my (XR) i used to fix it by resetting using itunes but i don’t wanna do it cause it doesn’t help that much nowadays… if anyone had the same problem and he was able to fix it i hope you could help…
thank you it helped me a lot. Now, I´m having problems sending imessage with my phone number it only works with the email, do you have a video or tip that can help me with that?
So if I do this, I will have to download all my apps again but will i lose the information like videos and all that?
From 38GB to 1.4GB Thankyou ❤
If I do everything exactly as the video show’s,how safe will my song library from itune’s be?
Watching from philippines thank you for the amazing tips sir❤️
Is the the cache partition?
Watching from California. Thank you for the info 👍
I wish dislike counts are still showing. Lol. This is not very practical way.
he have freefire installed on his device. What do you expect
What’s the way to do it then?
It works, my daughter is really happy, thanks.
Awesome video. Thank you
I wouldn't use the verbiage "this is easy" etc, this is all based on how many third party apps you have and how much information you need to re-sync with your phone. For example, if you use Brave browser, you will have to resync your account. If you have Gmail, you would have to re-sync contacts, calendars, etc. It would be considered easy if you only had a few third party apps that don't require the extra legwork, sure. In my case I had to spend over an hour re-syncing apps and accounts, then changing all my data settings and such in the "settings" section. All of this just to delete some rogue files (25gb) that are taking up space. The easy way would be for apple to give us an option to remove junk files that aren't needed like any other smartphone or tablet would do. I have to be honest, this will be the last Apple product I buy, as a phone that claims to be "user friendly", I can't remember how many times I had to go through hoops just to do the most basic actions. Even iTunes is a joke, I had to do a hard drive link/junction in Windows Powershell because iTunes doesn't allow you to choose which drive iTunes makes a backup in, it defaults to drive C. That in itself is just insane to me. I have a hunch this bloat issue is done purposefully so your hand (as an Apple loyalist) is forced to buy another phone with a larger storage capacity. I don't even need my tin foil hat, I know they intentionally handicap older phones to push sales. Anyway, sorry for the rant, I had to take my frustration out somewhere.....appreciate the video.
Thank you so much for suggestions,❤
My biggest fear doing this is that I will lose my cellular data so I will have to go to the Verizon store to get it set up again…does anyone know?

So the picture will be there even tho we dont restore the backup option ?
After do every step you have shown it now takes 30gb from my 32gb iPhone
THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE GOTTEN MY STORAGE BACK! IT WAS FIRST 53 GB and now 18GB 😆😆😆
I have 64GB and system data takes up 2GB but that’s still a huge help
Many many thanks buddy
I got a question does it remove your Apple ID apps and photos and keyboard shortcuts?
You really gave a very clear video it was described really good because I don’t understand a lot I’m 50 and I’m not very technical. I’m going to do it now but I’m so scared I’m gonna delete everything because I’m a UA-camr and I can’t make videos at the moment
Thanks it helped a lot
What about after you’ve installed the apps back on? Will it go up again even more obviously
This totally works! I went from 28GB of system data to 2.2GB😊
thanks for sharing
Do you have a clue on what the ipados system file is and how tot delete it
So what about the files that are in the file folder on the phone do you lose those because there’s no checkbox in the iCloud to sync those so what happens to those
Will this delete emails and contacts tho and plus i dont no my apple id password
Hey, Have followed the process but the system data is still the same.
really thought of trying this method but, just before seeing this video my system data is around 30gb. but after finishing this video it comes down to 12 gb automatically😅 i dont know what happen but it happen❤ btw thankyou😂
i was going to do this, but then you said it deleted the apps... which were the thing i was aiming to keep haha. One of my apps had a large update so i needed storage for it, but i think i'll just stick with deleting all my photos and old apps, etc. No offense to you, of course! This video was super helpful and i now know what to do if i ever decide to! thanks tho, the vid was really easy to follow.

Hello when you reset your phone you have to sleep contacts and photos ?
Can you do a video about this for Android?
Is there like any any other way because i have a lot of special games that I can’t get back
How about photos? I want to free my photo library up and transfer them to iCloud storage etc
Sir how to save contacts in gmail its not exporting my full contacts
I was screen recording a video and it turned off and the recording cancelled and not ending up in photos and my system data is max and my storage is full, I do not know what to do..
I get the option to either "Update, Then Erase" as well as just "Erase". Does it matter which of those I choose?
Am using a second hand iphone, will my data be restored after a full reset since my iCloud ain’t the one it was using wen it was brand new???
Does this still cause issues with Apple Watch and creating duplicate apple watches in your account?
In the old days there was the “Other” that takes a lot of storage, now they added the “system data” that takes a hell lot of storage and it just keeps increasing, my iphone is empty why does take this much of my phone’s mind? Buying an iphone is part of one’s misery in their life
Sooo, I have a quick question… would it save my photos?
Thanks it only worked for a couple hours, system data started building up again
amazing brother
Please help me with an explanation
How do I unlock my iPhone 7 on this day, that is, I mean a new way of explaining so that I can unlock the iPhone because I tried many ways, but I could not do anything
I hope you can help me because I trust your way of explaining
first my photos were taking up storage but we fixed that. anyway we are at system data as the problem. watching this now 😭😭
Can you show us how to delete iPhone history purchases on iPhone 11
Man, this is happening to me since I installed Honkai star rail since I already have games that use up a lot of GB
Does this work for any other kind of mobile device though?
Brother had 200+ gigs ty man🙏
what do we do if the system doesnt support or accept ur apple ID and password even though its right?!!
What happens if i don't have a second iOS device for the verification code?
Quick question, does it also save apps you had already bought(not downloaded actually paid for) + extras such as no ads, achievements, etc.
Yes! Those apps and purchases are saved to your iCloud account not your iphone, app subscriptions also get saved to your icloud
@@ttacos I know, I already did it.
Thank you so much
What do you do when you were using a 64 gig storage then you buy a new more storage phone 128gig but it keeps highlighting storage full.
Yet you bought a new phone with more gigs than the past
System data takes a %from maximum memory. If you a terabyte of memory you'd eventually get 500gb system data. It's bs
I can't get past the 9:00 point of the video instruction. I have no other devices. I was eventually given the option to just choose my phone number to receive the special code, but it never came to my phone. I can't enter the passcode because they're not sending it to my phone, which isn't (re)set up yet, so how can I receive the passcode yet at that point? I'm stuck in mid-setup limbo now.
I have a shared album in my Iphone ,would it be deleted if I do this??
So my app acct that I set up with apple play will be cleared?
