Royal norfolk regiment is the former sturdee of nymr 1990s history, she then went to gcr, then to nnr. M&gn society bought it when it came up for sale, gained that name in 2017 after overhaul
601 was Kitchener, and it was scrapped, but a railway (presumably mid hants) did up a 2-10-0 as 601 “sturdee” alongside 701 Franklin d Roosevelt, 701 was not a LMR engine ever, there was 700 though, major general Carl r gray jr, but Kitchener was quite unique, having two Westinghouses and a massive fuck-off headlamp on the smokebox door, it featured in the start of st trinian’s great train robbery
13:14 would the video be “Steam At Work” by any chance?? I had the exact same one, last year brought it again on DVD 😃 Both Dame Vera Lynn & Gordon were on it That Tank Loading feature is fantastic!!
I bet it has the victory works loco numbering scheme. I’m reading the Victory Works Q1 manual for the numbering and was suprised by the scheme itself. it is quirky and effective.
