Built in 1939, 5080 Was originally named Ogmore Castle but it received it's present name Defiant in 1941 as part of a batch of engines named after Battle of Britain aircraft. 5051 was originally named Drysllwyn Castle but was renamed in 1937 after only 18 months. Now on static display she's reverted to her Drysllwyn Castle name plus GWR livery which is the shirtbutton logo. As for 5043 she was originally named Barbury Castle but it was changed after 18 months to it's present name Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, it was actually suggested that she was temporarily returned to it's original Barbury Castle name for a short while after her last overhaul but this never happened.
Pendennis isn't included in preserved condition? Ah well, still a great looking pack, anyway. Will pair nicely with all the other standalone GWR locos third-party creators have made over the years.
The 8 wheeled bogie tender that Great Bear had was different to that which is presented here. Great Bear's tender ended its life being used by a couple of Saints and Churchward Counties.

You need to be between 15 & 60 mph for the water scoop to work.
Oh whoops!
4037 is a rebuilt Star, it’s not a 4073 if you noticed 😁
Wasn't the 8-wheel tender built originally for "Great Bear"?
