In Quebec, there are three English universities (McGill, Concordia, and Bishop's). McGill is ranked within top 3 in Canada, depending on the ranking list. During PGWP period, it is more difficult to find work in Quebec if you don't speak French. This is something that international students need to be aware of.
for non IT jobs its a struggle - for IT i think there are no issues
@@ParulTV Depending on the client, some clients such as Hydro Quebec won't like it if you don't speak their language.
this way u cannot get a job in toronto too if you want to work for a french foundational company. there are tons of other non french/ english IT companies in montreal. all big 5, banks, products and services hires graduates from both of suggested universities
I don’t find good students from McGill (with no French proficiency like me) struggling for jobs in Montreal irrespective of their area of expertise.
@@souravmukherjee4987 It depends in your field. I know someone who got hired by TD Waterhouse in Auditing Department over someone else because he is bilingual. You're essentially competing with your peers for jobs; any advantage helps.

Of course! Memorial University is having some ongoing issues but the University has a very good reputation and especially if you are doing a Bachelor's degree in any stream!
Talking about job opportunities being a small island, still having good job opportunities in a few Software companies and in the Electrical/Mechanical stream..
Also, There are plenty of jobs available for students to support their initial finances!
PS- This city is very cheap on living costs especially rent and housing prices.

The Cape Breton University Faculty Association has also started a strike! We, the students, are just staying in Sydney, Nova Scotia without having to attend any lectures. There's a grave scarcity of jobs and accommodation here as well.

@@sanjulubana6746 Do not discourage an arrangement has been reached . Courses will start as from 13.2.23. I have a relative who has just joined in January 2023. However, job opportunity is scarce and can get with difficulty else the university is good

@@shadabqureshi2432 reason is spending $45,000-$50,000 is not worth it at all in this university because the facilities, studies, environment they are providing is not justify with the amount they are charging. Top 5 ontario colleges will provide you more value in less money than this uni. FYI my friend has done MBA in HR from ALGOMA UNI and he told me all this.

I received a rejection admission to uOttawa and UWO. I made a backup plan with Bishop's and have now received an acceptance from Bishop in MCS. Hey bro, I had recently applied to centennial college (progress campus) for the business diploma course, I proceeded through with the college and applied for my visa but my visa got rejected, I would suggest you to not go for the college as before centennial purchasing the college it was a private and not a public college and it’s a community college. They do offer pgwp but I would suggest you to look for a uni or college outside of Toronto or Ontario.
