Most of the universities in Canada offer research based masters degree and they are also less expensive than course based. Could be please put some light on these and all the things related to it. The job opportunities compared to course based degrees. Is is difficult to get a job after a research based masters as it generally oriented for a PhD. How a 2 years research based master degree works. Do you get a time table and have to take classed or just research work with supervisor? All such things. Ryerson University is going to change its name to Toronto Metropolitan University. It will take years to build or re-establish its name recognition. I would stay away from it.

A 4-yr bachelor degree is better. Some colleges accept transfer of credits from another college; but not their GPA. If you can afford it, try to find a well known university, not a regional college (not even Canadians have heard of).
Bro queens university for masters in cs is one the competitive university. Acceptance rate around 18% even lower than significant universities. I would say it is easy to go in UBC rather than queens in ms cs.

Engineer is a 4-yr Bachelor degree in university. Engineering technologist and technician is a 2-yr college diploma. There is a big salary gap between engineer and technician. My recommendation is to study Bachelor in Electrical Engineering which covers both hardware and software. University tries to cover everything. But only about 15% of what you learned is useful at work; the rest of the knowledge comes from on-the-job training.

In Quebec, colleges (CEPEG) are just prep schools for universities. In Quebec, high school graduation is grade 11; followed by 2 years of college (CEPEG); followed by 3 to 4 years of university. Other provinces have high school graduation in grade 12; followed by 4 years of university.

In US, a Master degree in Psychology is hard to find jobs. People have to do a PhD to get jobs.
