It means that he loved Mrs. Hutchins work… that her cinematography was to die for… that is a very common phrase… saying he meant something else is just B.S. He has to live with what happened for the rest of his life… even though he didn’t intend to harm her (and I fully believe that for many reasons) he will carry the guilt of it on his heart forever. The fault belonged to the armor… going after him was a witch hunt.
