- Hey guys, today we're starting a new series. It's going to be called OMG Tech - tech which is different from what the norm or the market demands of us. First episode is going to feature the ASUS RYUJIN III coolers. It's an overbuilt and over-engineered type of cooler with a screen on the cooler itself. We do proper benchmarking on ROG RYUJIN III 360 and 240 and provide you the results in terms of - is it just looks or are they actually performers as well. Let's open them up and see what they are capable off!

Thank you for taking time to check out both the ROG Ryujin III 240 and 360 ARGB!
Great vid , liked and subscribed
i simply love mine.. works really cool with my 13600k keeping it cool every time! also impressed with the lcd quality!
Very nice! what do you use the screen for?
@@A2KMedia i mainly use it for system information. cpu freq. cpu temp and fan speed.. im always looking at it to monitor if my unit is hot or not. i dont like seeing 60+ degrees on my cpu when im gaming or media consuming.
fair enough! I asume your PC is on the desk?
@@A2KMedia yes i love looking at my rain bow rgbs 😁
haha :)
nice one, not sure i would like the magnetic cable. seems like an annoyance to me. keep up the good work.
You should test it with the Riou 3
I wonder how this would fare against the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 on high-end CPUs like the 7950X. Thing goes really hot on some games. Then again, I live in a tropical country...
Thank tou for the awesome video, bdw is it possible to change the fans to lian li fans?
hey, you could but then it would be even more expensive :)
Is the contact surface with the processor nickel-plated?
Tell me how to use srmoury crate!!!
I'd like to connect non ARGB fans to the radiator and use the ARGB fans on the pc case, do those magnet connectors mean that these fans cant connect to anything else?
Planning to slap the 360 on a 14900k next week!
I'm putting this on a 13900k, I should of went with a white Lian Li Galahad ii which is much more affordable and quieter, I only found out about the Galahad ii after the day I purchased the Ryujin iii. Asus rog white hardware is much more expensive than black 😢.
Did you get it? what's your thoughts on it and would you recommend it for the 14700K cpu?
Is it worth having after a couple of months? Should I also get some protection plan to go with it in case if it goes bad?
Get the Lian Li Galahad ii same asetek gen 8 pump and much more affordable. I say that as a Rog fan boy who bought the Ryujin iii only to find out a day after my purchase that Lian Li made a similar amount with the same gen 8 by asetek .
Same pump, and the same same radiator. Asus has slightly longer hoses but doesn't have the 45° swivels. The Lian Li also looks better, IMO, when mounting the pump in different orientations. The Asus has text that looks out of place upside down, I think. Orientation helps manage the cable length, and Asus's choice to NOT make the Fan/Screen able to change orientation on the base is ridiculous at this price point.
Screen resolution and memory are the same, but Asus is larger and brighter.
Asus has the VRM fan, which is mostly pointless.
If doing a white build, the Lian Li (white) has white cables, vs black, in the hard to hide areas.
does the pump speed showing full speed when on fixed mode? i had issues on Ryujin II where the pump speed is fluctuate on fixed mode
cant you control the Pump from the BIOS or Fan xpert alone or any other FAn software?
I picked up the 240 version fot €175 off Amazon UK. Which I think was reasonable.
not too bad! what was the reason you went with this vs something more standard?
Surely that was the II and not the III
@@lucaslawless It was the 3. I had it in my saved for later list along with many other potential PC upgrade items that I was looking at for several weeks. As soon as I successfully placed my order, the price shot back up to 400. Legit I think it was a website bug, as the price drop doesnt even show up in Camel Camel Camel. I didnt actually think they would ship it, that they would cancel my order but low and behold it arrived.
@@A2KMedia Literally the only reason I bought it was for the fancy screen. Obviously similar temps could be achieved with a cheaper AIO.
Do you think Asus will ever make a 420 version? Real disappointing that they don't right now.
kind of doubt it, as 420 is such rare size nowadays.
My issue is not with the cooler but the fact I cant complete my build with similar fans, as ROG don’t sell them.
would you recommend the 360 LC ii for the 14700K cpu?
hey, yeah - we use that for our test bench and it does a good job
@@A2KMedia Big Thanks
is it worth it to upgrade to ryujin III? i currently have ryujin II
I would probably say no, unless you want the improved screen.
Dont pay for overpriced stuff... the EK Nucleus AIO CR360 its way better and cost half the price than this one.
And no its not worth it, you would only notice about 3-5 of temperature difference
@dragonnestodyssey3939 Personal preference. They all cool more than enough at the end of the day. The point isn't so much the price, as it is the aesthetics
Bro please answer me , does VRM FAN turn on automatically or no ?
No
Fan on the wrong side of
so they copy power plug like a smart watch
240 or 360 for a i9 12900k?
360
Fantastically overpriced
It's a beast of a cooler and looks pretty. Two major gripes: 1) The tubes are short. Too short. It almost doesn't reach to top mount in my case, which is ridiculous. They are possibly the shortest AIO tubes I've ever used. 2) Armourycrate for this is HORRIBLE. You can basically choose some stat readings, or gifs, or a carousel of those two things. You can't resize the fonts, you can't do monitors over gifs, you can't customize almost anything. I would have expected better since they've had versions out for years now. For the price, there's no way I can recommend any one buy this until they fix the software.
i have to say you people forget to put your dress on when you make this video saying this is the coolest cooler it needs to do its job and you it will not do a good job thats why it looks the way it does
do you know what you are doing?
I will get the 240mm fans with i5 13600 🩵
