Finally an honest review. That's the reason im a subscriber. I know you guys have to make money, but coming out with your honest oppinions is the most important thing.
pleasantly surprised by this. Basic as it is, definatly still workable. Think ill stick with the Mercuriall plugins...the Fortin stuff is great but I couldn't for the life of me get a lead tone out of it, awesome rhythm sounds though. Still saving for the good ol Fractal...
By the time that I bite the bullet and just go the Fractal route, I'll probably have spent more than if I were to just do it straight away...probably already have honestly.
You should definitely review S-Gear Scuffham... it’s free to try and it’s a HUGE sound to me. Would like to know what you think about this plugin. I hardly trust you when it comes to tone and feel of modelers.
Agreeing to this. STL tones are for easy mixes. Not super organic but great for people who want fast, good end-results. Still, as a guitar player I would put my money on Neural's stuff. I like tweaking knobs and mics. Totally different game if you are mixing other guitar players.
The neural dsp stuff everybody uses. When you want to sound like everybody, then use it. Btw all what counts is, how it sounds in the mix. Why should you care for the solo sound? When you want to noodle around, you can literally use everything.
Good Video though it would have been interesting to hear some of the presets :) and Phil X is a gun for hire who once he's paid, stays paid apparently :)
Man, he really missed some of the best sounds (great as his videos may be and his playing is always on point). The magic of amp 3 (the red skinned plexi mod) is in the master volume. Back off the gain to around 4 and then push the master volume to 9 or 10 and what you get is just fuckin' UUUUHHHHNNNNNGGGRRRR so god damn tasty. Sick, sick high gain VH - Unchained kinda tones. There's more to this plugin :-)
very incomfortable with the latency that wasnt there when you were talking but when you went to the plug in there was alot of latency. enough to turn me off...
Just get a Fractal
To me this sounds just as good at a small fraction of the price
Yea spend $2000 😂

Always great videos Leon 😎👍

Thanks for the honest review, they are quite rare these days..
Awesome demo man. I love the honesty, lol. I'm right on the same page with you. I'm saving my money for a fractal.
for me the difference between them is price and cpu usage :) this plugin is awesome ready to go

its so bloody good, i'm so happy with the purchase, kills BIAS AMP 2!
I didn't particularly like BIAS when i tried it. Shame, the layout is super cool.
Everything slays BIAS. even a metal zone put straight in the sound card input

My mate Leon churning out the goods.
Axe Fx does sound better than plugins like this one, but the question is: Does the Fractal sound 10 times or more better than the plugins?
Random question Leon, maybe for faq? Have you ever tried a Framus Cobra? I had one for a while, sold it and regret the day often.
Sounds great 👍 do you need a audio interface to play with frfrs? Thanks 🙏
yes, guitar plugged right into AI and you're good to go
Damn that sounds like a great Van Halen ish tone.

Hey Leon, love your videos.
Just got my Ax8 after yeare of wanting one and will run them through my Yamaha hs7s. Where do I start? :)
Congratulations! I've got a series called AX8 basics which is a good place to start :)
What model prs guitar is that?

Original EVH Sound
Not as impressive as Mercuriall or PRS ones
I think amp 4 is a Vox amp, or am I tripping?
Great vid as usual, btw!
Highly likely, I'm just guessing!
Leon Todd Amp 4 is a Fender Twin and Amp 5 a Fender Bassman!
@@jyoutube1233 You're right, a good vox is in the Andy James Plugin which I'm going to buy just because of that one amp
reaper don t recognize that crap
email them to update
Yeh can’t match fractal stuff
lol more mids!
