I have 2 Ruger M77 in 22-250, one heavy barrel, one extra heavy. Both have Leupold 6.5 -20 x 40. Very acurate flat shooters. Congratulations on a very nice fresh rifle.
... love my Ruger M77 MKII All Weather stainless bolt action in 300 Win Mag ... the earlier Ruger bolt action rifles including the MKIIs were infamous for their lousy triggers and mine was no exception so I replaced the 7.5 pound pull "fence post" factory trigger with a Timney set at 2 pounds ... all in all a very accurate and tough rifle
Excellent video ... you done well picking that one up , looks like new alright ... I have a mk11 in 30-06 , beautiful accurate rifle and they are built like a brick shit house !!!
I once shot the m77 in 7.62x39 and I love that rifle since, so nimble, light and functional. In my opinion a tool has to do one job, and that one good, this rifle meets these characteristics perfectly. Plus: I like the slightly quirky looks. The short mauser-like action is built like a tank and the barrels are exquisitely made, they're cheap and if I come across one, I'll buy it. The .22-250 is a great cartridge, too and I'd love to get one some day. I'm working presently on a hunting colleague to sell me his in 7x57 Mauser, I know, it's not exactly the short action I want and has not the cool "boat paddle" stock, but I'm kinda used to that the caliber, it's quite common here in germany and I have 2 rifles in that caliber. But that 7.62x39 doesn't leave my mind, it was great! Great video & greetings from here in northern germany and "Waidmannsheil" (german saying for a good hunt)
It would be great if a lot more people watched & subcribed to this channel .... When you review a rifle you go right into the depths of it , the way they function , stripping down , history etc. Especially the older guns , excellent videos , one of the best on UA-cam ....
Thanks for that top info. Great explanation on the bore sighting. Use these M77 's in .308 and amazed how incredibly accurate the can be using a range of projectile weights! Cheers. Also from NQld.
Thats Awesome, i just looked at one Ruger M77 MKII 270 WIN Synthetic Zytel Boat Paddle, Stainless Steel 22" and put a deposit down, just thought i would ask what you might think the going value might be worth. Glad i found your channel
Depends what type of guns. Sometimes history books based on certain military guns might have content related around batch numbers, but I know that both Ruger and Winchester have available search functions on their websites, not always complete though. Often forums will have info posted by other members too.
Thanks Conrad, I like the look of the M77 series, especially with the Zytel stock. I remember seeing my first one on the rack at my local gun shop back in 1993 and thinking it was the coolest gun I’d ever seen.

Hi John, thanks for your support mate. Six paddle-stocks?? Now I've been matched by someone more obsessed than myself.

Great comments Omnihil. I agree with all your likes for the M77 and they are all the same reasons I value the Ruger platform also.

Spot on.
Thanks Shane, I'm glad you are enjoying the channel content and I appreciate your support.
Good purchase, looks like you picked up a bargain for a second hand rifle. Cracking round the 22-250, like a laser.

They hold value as they are decent quality. I normally see them for sale for at least $1000 - $1200
Thank you sir appreciate your time and assistance@@practicalnottactical
Hey bloke, another great video. Just wanted to ask where you can search for gun details based on serial numbers?

Any chance you want to sell it mate?

22-250 vs dingoes (wild dogs)
Or 22-250 vs fox
What happened to the range? We all know how to fit a scope and use a bore sighter. Don't introduce testing the rifle and not do it!
