Oh, Michelle, this looks SCRUMMY!!!! I love pineapple and sweet/sour type sauces. I also love the smell of food on the grill, the charcoal after it’s burning…all of that!! Not weird at all 😊 Thank you for an awesome, detailed video! Have a great day! 🥰
Wow Michelle! Another tasty treat from your kitchen! I received that book as a wedding shower gift! I think I sent it to the thrift store when I did a kitchen cleanout - now I am on a mission to refill my kitchen book cabinet again, ha ha!
Oh wow, this sounds so flavorful. We love sweet and spicey sauces so the addition of that Sambal is right up our taste bud alley! I can't wait to try this sauce. I also love that you still have that cookbook! I have a lot that my mom used to give me when I was a teen and young adult and cherish them too.
Yes, we do, too! One the g we have also started doing is drying the limbs and branches that we trim from our apple tree each winter. Throwing this onto the grill gives off a subtle flavor at the end.
@@BigValleyLiving Wood smoke as a spice.👍 I don't have a reasonable access to Apple but our area of Central Texas has a lot of Peach orchards. I'm happy to haul off pruned fruit wood to dry and use for BBQ later. TY for posting. We were going back and forth about what to have for Sunday dinner. Ya'll helped solve that.😀👍 Got chicken and pork ribs on the grill this very minute.😂 Just the smell is already delicious, can't wait might sneak a bite.🤤 Tasting...just to insure it's good. Might need a pinch of salt. 😉
I loved him! JJ took me to see Carol Burnett in 2018, and she told lots of neat stories about the show, then spent an hour answering audience questions like she did on her show! It was amazing!
Lol, it sure is! I remember making that recipe the day I received the book. I had a huge cup of ice water on the counter, and as soon as I accidentally knocked it over, I threw towels on the book. All these years later (almost 40), it makes for a fun memory and story.
Good morning Michelle! Food taste better when it’s messy😉 I bet this sauce is delicious and I could try it on veggies and rice. Have a great weekend! Wendy🐞🧡🎃
This sounds so delicious. I’m going to have to see if that’s in my cookbook, lol. If not, I sure have good directions from you! Thanks so much for sharing this recipe and how y’all bbq your chicken too!
Wow Michelle that looks delicious!! Great job😊❤ I have that same cookbook 😂😂 so I bet I can find it in there! Thank you so much for jumping into this collab ❤❤😊
Thank YOU, Ginger! I was so excited to make this recipe again. It had been a few years, then we rediscovered it about two months ago. Finger lickin’ good!
Looks delicious what a great sauce. I also have a book just like that I had to look at the date mine is a little newer 2002 12th edition. It's also really worn out.
I love sweet & spicy sauces. Your sauce looks amazing. Thanks for sharing your delicious meal with us.
Thank you, Carlene! I still have your cheesecake bites. Gotta get them on the mail!!!

I have tried to purge cookbooks, but they hold so many memories, I end up rearranging the book shelves, haha!
We like Mesquite and Pecan wood.
It's really good with pork ribs too. 👍

@BigValleyLiving I didn't see anything from her but you did say Amanda Beall was going to do one?
@@notfornothinghomestead, I had just looked at Crocktober...that was the day the Bealls were on the same day. 🤪

I live one in an old book with little stains from years of using favorite recipes.
