I've been down the Ren rabbit hole for months. There are other dark songs like Money Game, Illest Of Our Time, Suic*de and brighter pieces like Losing It, Power, and Bongo Bong. He is a great story teller with songs like the Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet. He has performed a lot of material with his street band, The Big Push. There is a lot to explore. He is unique and hugely talented.
how many of you are around? MOre, more, more, more and more. Funny... really funny. You should just keep with hi ren and think what it should tell you.
@@kommzumiraufdiearchenoah7540 Super confused are you a super fan (that turned into hater, cause you were first) or just a hater. If your a fan you should want everyone to like them and blow their numbers up.
You haven't seen anything yet, believe me! :) Ren covers multiple styles and genres, does so brilliantly and never misses. I've been slowly going through his back catalogue and have yet to hear a bad song. A dozen, at least, are bona fide masterpieces! Rock, reggae, rap, hip-hop, soul, edm, blues, jazz, folk, he does it all! He's an incredible singer, in several different styles. His songwriting is first-class! He's a world-class rapper, he beatboxes and is a ridiculously talented multi-instrumentalist, playing at least 7 different instruments fantastically well, including acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, piano/keyboard and drums! He lays down all his own music/beats, producing everything himself. He's a world beating lyricist, a poet really. His performance skills are unbelievably good. He even makes his own videos, in conjunction with his friend Sam. Most, like Hi Ren, are recorded live, single take, no lip synch, no music tape in his ear, no autotune or live production effects. He'll make you cry, he'll make you smile, he'll make you laugh, he'll make you think. Above all, he'l make you feel! He's managed all this while suffering from severely debilitating and incurable, chronic illnesses, that have ravaged his body and brain and which, together with a ten year incorrect diagnosis and associated psychotropic drugs, caused a whole range of mental health problems, including psychosis. His physical deterioration was deemed to be psychosomatic, when it wasn't at all. At his worst he was bedridden for 23 hours a day, couldn't go out, was in constant chronic pain and was wasting away. The correct diagnosis and treatment improved his condition significantly but he's atill in near constant pain, tires easily, has days when he can't physically function and still requires large amounts of heavy medication and a whole range of intrusive treatments, daily. He's currently in Canada, undergoing experimental treatments, to try to repair some of the damage to his body and brain but it's likely that much of the damage is permanent. I can't imagine what he would have achieved if he were free of health worries! Then again, it informs much of his work and has, at least partially made him into the artist and the human being that he is today. Despite all his problems he continues with a remarkably positive, compassionate and encouraging attitude. He's highly intelligent and a deep thinker. You should watch his interview with the reactor 'Rosalie' for a prime example of this. His rabbit-hole is definitely worth diving into! It really doesn't matter where you start, just pick a song and you're off! :) As a determinidely independent artist, hell never receive the attention afforded to those signed to major labels but he deserves to. He's a once in a generation artist and a really nice, genuine, down-to-earth guy with it. It's not about the money with Ren. It really is all about the music! Despite having only having made modest amounts, in his career so far, he's donated the proceeds from several of his songs to charities and to the family of his best friend Joe, who unfortunately committed suicide. That was longer and heavier than intended but you get the gist... Ren's great. His music's great. Check out more Ren! :) P.S. Don't worry about copyright with Ren, he never pursues it. If UA-cam themselves try to pursue a claim, just appeal it and Ren automatically cancels it. :)
I just found him 3 hours ago and those last 3 hours were just this song and reaction vids. Unfortunately you only get to hear this since for the first time once. After that, watching others react to hearing it the first time is my fix. And I still haven’t dipped into the rest of his catalog yet. Looking forward to it! What a genius he is.
Ren is a true genre bending artist. He is a musical genius. You would do yourself a huge favor to dive deep into Ren's back catalogue of music. What makes Ren's music videos and live performances so special is the fact he play's characters so to speak, its a strange mix of a stage show, a music video and poetry.
Ah hell ive purposely not checked anything from ren out yet cause I didnt want or need another rabbit hole right now, but guess we're doing this together here we go!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
This is the kind of artistry that gives "broken" people hope. Ren, through this performance piece, has become to a lot of people exactly what he stated in the song, "...the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". So powerful, so impactful. The song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative then makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, tearing free and trying to take control, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the "God" aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will ALWAYS be a battle because we are all "a coin with 2 different sides". It's a beautifully cathartic and raw musical masterpiece. Ren is truly special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it's a trip worth taking. This was the 4th take he did and yes, it was done live. Wait until you hear some of his other stuff, especially his storytelling ("The Tale of Jenny & Screech"). You haven't even touched the breadth of this young man's talent yet. The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special.....(and btw, he does have some upbeat, put a smile on your face type songs too.)
Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He had Lime Disease, but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs psychotropics and told him he was crazy. The Lyme disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. His life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis, but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future. Basically, it's LIKE having a broken leg and the Dr telling you it's all in your head and prescribing a bunch of super strong psychotropics for 7-8 years. I saw an interview the NHS would make fun of him for asking for more tests on his blood. They are the pig in his videos.
The scary part was Ren is the one that figured it out. He was reading on a bacterial stomach infection that had very similar symptoms that he had. He went to a doctor and told them what they needed to hear to proscribe him the antibiotic. And it worked. Then he went to a new Doctor and told him what he did and that new doctor is the one that said Lyme Disease, without even taking a blood test. So if Ren hadn’t done his own research then he would probably be dead right now. And I’m so glad he isn’t because he is an amazing artist.
I'm 50 years old and Ren is the most amazing talented artist I have ever seen. I love Upchurch and the bunch but Ren tops them all telent wise. He can rap rap fast, sing amazingly, plays multiple instruments at a top level, beatboxes, writes his own beats and lyrics all while dealing with sickness, pain, and a broken heart.

I am 74 years old and in love with Ren and his talent. My two children are older than Ren! I have grand sons, one is already getting close to Ren's current age. I've lived a nice long time with lots of music and variety of talented people to listen to, and have been terribly disappointed with some out there recording or performing that really should try a different path. But I just really need to THANK you for reacting to anything by Ren. Bisecting or dissecting Ren's brain may be too much of a challenge for normal human beings. Everything Ren does is either fun, sad, outrageous, crazy, deep with meaning, or educational. Ren is an enigma, although not a true enigma according to a "dictionary", since he tells us more about himself and his life than a true enigmatic person would, he isn't mysterious he doesn't hide anything. But he surprises most of us with his diversity. His singing, musical talent with many instruments, acting, narrating and performing is just so captivating, it must be an innate talent! I have been to many concerts and live plays and can see that what he does and is capable of doing is amazing with his health issues, the wisdom of the ages, and only 33! He is like a box of chocolate, maybe just not as tasty, due to some of his thoughts floating around in his head. He surprises most of us with the skills he has that can draw you in. And he does DRAW you in, makes you LOOK makes you THINK makes you want to KNOW more. Is Ren a chameleon? A good definition (I googled of course) "The chameleon effect is not a strategic facsimile of a person's gestures and facial expressions. It's more natural. It's a tendency we all may adopt to imitate someone else's voice and physical gestures so as to create a bond of intimacy and friendship. This can be done either consciously or subconsciously". Yes I personally think Ren is a natural chameleon, and he uses that "innate talent" and is very creative with it. I love Ren and his singing, his music, his voice and incredible talent, I just wish some of his music was less vulgar, fewer "f.." words would be a lot easier to listen to and share with others that are easily offended. I have one friend that will not listen to anything with the "F" word in it. so that doesn't leave much to share unless it's from the 1950's - maybe 1970's. :D Have a great rest of your day and or evening and please check out more of Ren's work, read other comments to find out more. You will be really surprised by what you hear from Ren. ~ Ada
Yes! Make sure you listen to all three songs in order though. Jenny, Screech, then Violet is the finale. It is a full story that will leave you crying with the final verse
A good next reaction would be Ren X Chinchilla "Chaulk Outlines": You will hear Ren's singing voice and you'll get an introduction to Chinchilla who has collaborated a few times with Ren. She has a fantastic vocal range and her duets with Ren are magical. If someone recommends "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" be cautioned it makes "Hi Ren" feel like a fairy tale. Save it for a little later and make sure to react to the (Full) version a trilogy of three songs in one video. Make sure you have tissue handy for this one,
He gotten bit by a tick and wasn't diagnosed with Lyme's disease for a long time. Lyme's disease is an auto immunity disease. He's on meds for that and other things.
I had to watch this one a few times to process it and begin to fully appreciate it, sick boi is the one I watched next and it blew me away immediately and is still what I consider to be his best work
Ooh if you go down the Ren rabbit hole, I'm absolutely here for it. Blokes a genius. You wont regret diving in. Next to look at would be The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version).
🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤 Great reaction little lady!!! Yeah, Ren is amazing, and super creative for sure. This was done live four times, and this one was the one that was chosen! And yeah he has gone through a rough journey.
Cheer yourself up with rens losing it (rap retake) or what you want (homage to the beastie boys) or get deep with the tale of Jenny and screech (full version) or chalk outlines ft chinchilla, none will disappoint
I loved watching your face through this. When it was sane Ren you were smiling and then with bad Ren you looked troubled and confused. Your expressions were amazing. Ren is beyond amazing and yes he is a genius
Love the green. First time listening to your reaction and loved it. Ren is a musical eclectic genius. I’m a Tom fan too but Ren is in a different lane. Hope you check out more. He has a lot of fun, serious and everything in between.
I was not willing to more than a few seconds to this song when you posted this video i got the notification and i was just like omg not this shit well damn i actually went ahead and clicked and i have to say i really watched it all and im absolutely blown away this song is phenomenal i was literally in tears by the end thank you so much for doing this
The Ren rabbit hole is vast, but it's not all deep and dark. If you want upbeat and fun - What You Want and Losing It are my faves, his band (The Big Push) has some AMAZING stuff, too. Enjoy the ride, Ren is the rare, unique talent that I feel extremely lucky to be able to witness.
I love the expression on her face at the end of the song when you can see what Ren is saying is sinking in and she is realizing that she is hearing something profound !!!!
You could see how enraptured you were in the story of the song. When you face lit up with a smile when Ren stood up. It emoted the feeling of that point of the song so well. Thank you for your reaction. :)
The Ren rabbit hole is as deep and wide as the ocean. He literally has a song called Ocean that’s amazing. He covers all kinds of genres and mixes them together. You just about cant go wrong. Ren and Chinchilla(if you want to continue down the emotional roller coaster). Ren and Sam Tompkins(Great covers and an original), Ren and Eden (great vibes), his band The Big Push (covers/ mashups) and Ren has an eclectic solo career.
Well I think you're the only reactor I've seen that spent the first 2 mins of this Hi Ren video actually watching something else rather than the video you're reacting to. Interesting! Most are drawn in straight away. It's so interesting how different people react. Ren is my new hero. Humble, genius level talent in multiple ways. Multi instrumentalist, producer, singer, rapper, actor and all while suffering from Limes disease. And not afraid to put himself out there in such a raw way.
Yes, the weirdest reaction to Ren I have ever seen. She seemed to want everyone looking at her, not Ren. Afterwards it was all about how it affected her and she couldn't tell us much about that. Just another self-centered reactor.
@@patrickquinlan3056I'd say 2 things to you... Totally respectfully... Music is fully subjective and if she doesn't react to it on a more enthusiastic way then that's her reaction. It's her channel after all. She can like what she likes. Don't we all want honest reactions? Ren's not going to appeal to everyone. Secondly - dismissing her as "another self-centred reactor" because her reaction didn't meet your expectations is a bit harsh. You don't know what her setup is like... Her screen could be anywhere. She could have been looking at anything. Doesn't have to have been a mirror. Everything I said I meant respectfully. You're allowed your opinion too 😊. I'd just suggest that you look through her lens and not just yours. Take care man!
I just need to know what's on her left. But it was a good her reaction. I watched a really great reaction that never once (seriously) discussed any of the lyrics. But, he was super knowledgeable of the music, guitar, tempo, etc and it was fascinating. But he metaphorically kept looking to his left. SpOOky you dun good! Great perspective. Thanks girl
Thanks for your reaction. I loved watching your facial expressions change as the song went on. I could see it riding the rollercoaster along the ups and downs. And you nailed it. He is a rabbit's hole that you should dive into. Good luck!
Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's livestreams and posts where he discussed his condition. Ren Erin Gill is a British musician/independent artist; born in Wales on March 29, 1990; he eventually moved to Brighton. Ren pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures. In 2010, he was signed by Sony Records and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point where he was unable to continue; subsequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure. Ren is currently in Calgary, Canada, for more treatments, including surgeries, and will have to be there for at least six months (Summer of 2023) undergoing IV and other interventions five days a week. Ren recently underwent wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery. In addition, his Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Now, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Check out and subscribe to his channel; if you are a content creator, ask your audience to subscribe to Ren. Ren's YT channel has less than 1 million subscribers, while his videos have garnered millions and millions of views. Listen to some of his earlier work, like and comment on his performances, and let's lift Ren's spirits. If you are a believer, pray for him. Ren is an artist with something to say to the world, and his work is important in these troubling times. Someone has finally created a Wikipedia page for Ren, so there is additional information available.
@@debrashrider4062 Thank you kindly. Likewise. I hope she will continue down the Ren rabbit hole. I love watching peoples journey with Ren. Have a great rest of your weekend, and if you are in the US, have a blessed 4th of July.
I'm guessing that Ren would not say no to a hug. However this man has been through more than any ten men that I know and he is actually doing pretty okay. The funny part is you say you need time to process and after thinking about it this song actually has one of the happiest endings of any songs I know of by Ren.. LOL!
"You're going to be okay. You have the tools to do this." Yeah, I'd have to confer, it's the happiest ending of many of the songs I've heard, it feels RAW and REAL to me. Not a fairy tail happy ending.
Ren is extremely talented and is a fearless performer. He likes street performing. He cares more about connection than perfection. He was part of a band called the Big Push, all members were street musicians, and they did lot’s of great covers and original music. There is a lot to explore. Have fun.
As someone who has many of the same experiences as Ren, This song specifically hits so close to describing the difficult battle us disabled individuals (and I know for me personally) go through that we can't explain to those who don't experience psychosis, BPD, schizophrenia, ect. The first time I heard this song, I cried and have almost listened to it daily because I've never had the words for this experience until he made Hi Ren 😭💖
this wasn't near his first song, but it's a great song to start with.. sick boi would be a natural next one, as its sorta a continuation of a lot of the same themes. not all of his stuff is emotional though, and it encompasses many genres, as far as i know 2010 is the first song he uploaded, he's been in two bands, trick the fox and the big push, and he's collaborated to great effect with several artists. i'd suggest mebbe after sick boi alternating between heavy and light (emotionally) songs, some light songs include power, genesis, losing it, the hunger fire and most things with the big push, the love music trilogy is really great.. oh and the two songs he did with eden and his stuff with sam thompkins are brilliant and not super heavy emotionally. his stuff with chinchilla, crutches with bibi, the tales of jenny and screech (gotta watch the full version with violet's tale!), su!cide, freckled angels are all very emotional
oh and there's also the socially conscious songs that all SLAP with great music and amazing lyrics, these include money game parts 1 and 2 , dominos and crucify your culture
This rabbit hole is one you absolutely need to jump into. As for which to do next, just search for ren reactions and follow the reaction trend; pick a title, then dive in. It's all so full of power and intrigue, you will find yourself wanting more and more. Ren X chinchillas 'chalk outlines' has become one of my favorites, personally, but i th8nk everyone will find a Ren song that just hits a bit harder for them. Cant wait to see you take this journey!
hi ren dark, fisher up beat, suicide dark, power up beat, for joe dark, I could go on, then you could hit money game if you want political, or Dominos if you want social, then theres the tale of jenny and screech if you want story telling, or perhaps the hunger for some rap........again I could go on, the rabbit hole is a deep twisty one and includes colabs with others and some stuff with his band the big push......The really scary thing and this is backed up by youtube reactors, in over a decade of tracks Ren hasn't dropped a bad one and he'll jump from rock to reggae, soul to rap, is own bardcore to jazz......go on Alice, jump in ;)
You’re right about the rabbit hole with Ren. Next, I recommend Sick Boi, then Chalk Outlines(live performance), How To Be Me(live), Genesis, Power, Tale of Jenny & Screech(full video with Violet’s Tale, Illest Of Our Time, Suic*de, For Joe(live).
Loved your reaction! It is amazing how Ren has such a HUGE emotional impact the 1st time you watch it! It still made tears well in my eyes at the spoken part at the end, and I have watched reactions many, many times. Next watch The Tale of Jenny and Screech, a trilogy.
Spot on. It's "super art" and you'll *never* hear it on the radio. It doesn't follow a radio format, it's way too long to start with - plus, you have to *watch* it to really experience this musical theater.
The closed captions are wrong. Ren is a brilliant multi-talented artist that cannot be placed in any genre. Take a dive into the Ren rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
A few videos to watch are.... Sick Boi... Money Game Pt 1... Money Game Pt 2... Tale of Jenny & Screech full story... Su!clde... Genisis... Ren x Chinchilla... How to be Me - Live... Chalk Outlines - Live... Ren ft. Eden Nash... Humble... Ocean... Ren ft. Bibi... Crutch Rens band, The Big Push... Bongo Bong... Englishman in New York (Sting cover)... War Pigs (Black Sabbath cover)... Sweet Little Lady... And there are loads more...
I was driving when I listened to your reaction and had to pull over from laughing so hard! Yes dear, we ALL need the proverbial group hug. Oh, and you think this is screwing with your mind, wait until you listen to Su!cide and the three tales. You're going to need therapy. Kidding WE are your therapists! 😁
The 2 characters were the 2 sides we have in our head. Doubt and hope. It started as a song to describe his own battle with himself, but ended up being more relatable to everyone. This was his story, and you will get to see him perform stories about other people.
Welcome to the club. Get ready to be obsessed. Ren is amazing in every way.The Tale of Jenny and Screech complete version is the best next one. Just make sure its tbe full trilogy one.
First time hearing Ren - definitely not what I expected. Interesting that you mentioned Tom MacDonald in your reaction, because he has a song that is very much like this - Tom going back and forth with himself addressing his insecurities and fears. It's called Best Rapper Ever - really worth reacting to.
Addiction is real your now stuck like the rest of us with Ren on the brain the journey is full of tears hope and a deep appreciation of his insane, incredible talent.
Definitely go down the rabbit hole. They're not all deep dark tunnels (some are, but at least now you're ready right?) His Collabs with Chinchilla and with Eden Nash are amazing.
Don't know if it was just me, but for most of the video you seemed more interested in what was going on in front of you to the left. I don't know what's going on in your life ofc, that's just the impression I got. Peace
If you want a real journey, lisyen to Ren's trilogy, the tale of jenny and screetch, three songs in one video its insane his story telling is fanominal!
Go into the rabbit hole. Bring tissues. Take heart pills. You will never be ready. You might be thankful. Alternate happy stuff and Ren. Ren has happy stuff. This is a VERY tortured artist and he is helping a lot by not hiding anything about who he is, what has happened to him and a LOT has happened to him.
I am a 55-year-ole Army veteran... and I shed tears when he said "some people know me as hope". If this song didn't move you, then you might need therapy.
Super Art is perfect!! 😊 I have literally not heard of one song by Ren that I haven't liked. Come down the Ren rabbit hole, Alice. You will find it curiouser and curiouser..... Great reaction, and thank you!!
It's that first guitar part that absorbed my interest. I love classical/spanish guitar and he was making sounds I'd never heard a guitar make. The rest of the ten minutes was glassy eyed, slack jawed, WTF???? A bleak room, a wheelchair, a guitar and a camera.....done live.....??????? Talk about making a LOT with a little...no autotune, no computer graphics, no fancy costumes or background dancers, no skillful background band.....JUST REN. THIS is ART. Crazy? NO it explains a LOT of things! I am now a student and not a victim of my own human chaos.
No, you're not wrong. The Ren rabbit-hole delves into the deep, dark underbelly of humanity. Listening to Ren is like using Gasoline to wash off tar stains. Necessary, but hard. And yes - you should go there. Welcome to the Rennaisance.
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole. You will not be disappointed. Ren is pure music. Sic boi next Then its up to you hi Ren and sic boi feel like they should go together, back to back. He does music from every genre. Hes one of those few artists who is the complete package. Have fun

More “art on cocaine” from Ren that is great for reactions is The Tale of Jenny and Screech (he made them prior to Hi Ren) His repertoire is vast but he can/does lean heavily into counter culture topics a lot of the time His duets are beautiful as well, Chalk Outlines/How to be Me/Humble Could literally recommend everything he’s ever produced but the ones listed seem to hit well with the crowds so far Great reaction 🎉
That whole performance was done live…. Go down the rabbit hole, he’s a genius.

The craziest thing about ren is that its all done in one take. amazingly talented
Four takes. But done live in completion each time.
Because Ren respects the art... more than perfection. Feeling the music is vastly more important than hitting the perfect note every time.
@@Wiley_CoyoteI believe it was four individual takes, then he chose the best one.
@@Bobmudu35UK Didn't I say that? "In completion", meaning performed all the way through.
Like you all knowing 😂
Ah hell ive purposely not checked anything from ren out yet cause I didnt want or need another rabbit hole right now, but guess we're doing this together here we go!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
You won’t be disappointed. All genres covered! Enjoy
@@Arhimith 🤣🤣🤣I was afraid of that lol
I ignored ren out of multiple prior disappointments. However, I don't feel I missed out in waiting. Its all good
ren is a rabbit hole that you just don’t want to get out of, and that’s a fact.
Dude, you should be doing reactions. This commentary is collegiate. So good. Thanks for sharing.

Losing It is my favorite. You can't help but dance... 😁
~ Ada
Definitely best rabbit hole I’ve ever been down. I’ve not found a bad song yet he never misses.
You need too do Jenny and Screech tales full version will blow your head off. Proper shows how BARDCORE Ren is. Thank me later 😂
Make sure you have tissue handy for this one,
"Suicide" combined with "For Joe" in the same reaction maybe.
All this.. and "Sick Boi" it's more of his story.
Welcome to the beginning of the Ren rabbithole!!! Sick Boi is next....Great reaction!!!😎
Yes, ABSOLUTELY.
The natural progression is Sick Boi.
His music IS deep.
But, wonderful.
He gotten bit by a tick and wasn't diagnosed with Lyme's disease for a long time. Lyme's disease is an auto immunity disease. He's on meds for that and other things.
Wikipedia 2223 A.D.: "REN - Musician & philosopher & ... just genius of 21-st century!" Thanks for reaction!
I had to watch this one a few times to process it and begin to fully appreciate it, sick boi is the one I watched next and it blew me away immediately and is still what I consider to be his best work
Thanks for letting us join you on your first journey with Ren! He's next level and I hope to see you do more Ren!
Ooh if you go down the Ren rabbit hole, I'm absolutely here for it. Blokes a genius. You wont regret diving in. Next to look at would be The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version).
Ren is a RENicorn! He's truly a gift to music! Hope to enjoy this journey with him. It's soul opening
Welcome to the Ren rabbithole.. Sick Boi will tell you more about Ren.
Ren is a great storyteller.
One of my favs is The Tale of Jenny and Screech (FULL) which includes Violet's Tale, written later.
I loved watching your face through this. When it was sane Ren you were smiling and then with bad Ren you looked troubled and confused. Your expressions were amazing. Ren is beyond amazing and yes he is a genius
Ren is amazing. Tom MacDonald's Best Rapper Ever has a kind of similar vibe but different. Love to see a reaction of that one.
Ren Power! Also have to discover the beautiful Chinchilla! They've done music together.
I stopped after 4 minutes. Normally love reactions, but not when they're streaming and reading viewers' comments.
@@TheRealityleak I have no idea what she was doing but I have never seen anyone else do that. I accept your points though.
Happy to see ya here!
@@debrashrider4062 Thank you kindly. Likewise. I hope she will continue down the Ren rabbit hole. I love watching peoples journey with Ren. Have a great rest of your weekend, and if you are in the US, have a blessed 4th of July.
@@JensRandolff I too, enjoy reactors. Their eyes show so much as they feel the experience. And yes US here.
She needs time to process because she wasn’t paying attention.
I already seen this, but can I say I absolutely love you. And appreciate you. Thank you mate! You are amazing
Omg have been waiting for you to discover ren, look up the order of the rabbit hole to watch,
Ren is extremely talented and is a fearless performer. He likes street performing. He cares more about connection than perfection. He was part of a band called the Big Push, all members were street musicians, and they did lot’s of great covers and original music. There is a lot to explore. Have fun.
Omg your facial expressions are priceless!! Love this reaction. Big fan of yours now. Keep up the great work!
It still kills me that this was live in one take!!! It’s art!
Yes he does need a hug, wish i could be the one to give him one. Love you Ren!!! I got your back always brother. Both of our tears made the oceans,
As someone who has many of the same experiences as Ren, This song specifically hits so close to describing the difficult battle us disabled individuals (and I know for me personally) go through that we can't explain to those who don't experience psychosis, BPD, schizophrenia, ect.
Maybe you should do some other lighter stuff in between like the Big Push medleys, Loosing it, what you want (Beastie Boy homage) or The hunger.
Loved your reaction! It is amazing how Ren has such a HUGE emotional impact the 1st time you watch it! It still made tears well in my eyes at the spoken part at the end, and I have watched reactions many, many times. Next watch The Tale of Jenny and Screech, a trilogy.
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole it's a rollercoaster ride of pure musical genius
Ren is a genius. I’m a Death metal fan but Love all tunes and this is brilliant
We all need a hug.
Goosebumps seems to be a normal reaction to this piece.
You looked so nervous until he stood up😂😂😂.
Ren is a living miracle a genius. Have fun with this one ❤❤Right this is one that you have to hear a few times to get all of it.
Spot on. It's "super art" and you'll *never* hear it on the radio. It doesn't follow a radio format, it's way too long to start with - plus, you have to *watch* it to really experience this musical theater.
Gosh, love your reactions... I am watching most of your videos... so much emotion on some of them ❤
I adore these reactions. Cannot wait to follow you down the Ren rabbit hole. It is a lot of fun. And endlessly impressive.
The closed captions are wrong. Ren is a brilliant multi-talented artist that cannot be placed in any genre. Take a dive into the Ren rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
I love the way you react. You have such a wonderfully expressive face that you don’t need to pause it 400 times to see your reaction. Bravo.
A few videos to watch are.... Sick Boi... Money Game Pt 1... Money Game Pt 2... Tale of Jenny & Screech full story... Su!clde... Genisis...

Jenny and Screeches Tale full version !!! Humble !!
Ren is an astounding artist. Can't wait to see more reactions of him. Aloha NuiLoa 🤙
There are 4 characters. The inner doubt (creating fear), inner confidence (creating joy), the eternal darkness and eternal hope.
I’m so glad you found Ren.
Addiction is real your now stuck like the rest of us with Ren on the brain the journey is full of tears hope and a deep appreciation of his insane, incredible talent.
watching your expressions go through the gamut of emotions was priceless. Thanks for your review.
Definitely go down the rabbit hole. They're not all deep dark tunnels (some are, but at least now you're ready right?)
His Collabs with Chinchilla and with Eden Nash are amazing.
The best reaction I have seen. You do not need to say anything, your eloquent face conveys far more than any words.
Really enjoyed your take on this..great job!!!
I Love to see people start the REN Journey. Enjoy.
I've never heard of NF, but EVERYONE is talking about them. They may be next on my reaction videos....
The tales of Jenny and Screech 13 minute full version is a must.
Great reaction and you didn't cry. When he stands I break every time. #HOG from the Hammer #Ren
Yes, it's very intense. So much more depth than the average music we hear every day.
Thank you for reacting to this song!!
This song is a masterpiece and not because it is awesome but because he shines a light on Mental Health that is desperately needed
around the world.
No, you're not wrong. The Ren rabbit-hole delves into the deep, dark underbelly of humanity. Listening to Ren is like using Gasoline to wash off tar stains. Necessary, but hard. And yes - you should go there. Welcome to the Rennaisance.
I've never been so viscerally moved by an Artist.
Of any kind.
His genius transcends genre
I'm pretty sure he's BANKSY, as well.
Call it a Hunch.
Great reaction to this amazing performance. There truly is only one Ren in this world. There are so many other brilliant songs he has done!
Your reaction was so far the best ive seen yet. When hi ren started going off your face reaction n your body slowly moving from the screen
Thank you for this reaction! :) 😂😊 Jump in! ❤
The varying levels of shock on your face throughout the video was kinda funny... and lead very much into what you said at the end.
Watching his ability to make your smile return during the last verse is a magic i hope to be able to possess some day.
Everything Ren makes is pure perfection. Its all different and its all golden. Just dive in and dive deep! :D
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole.
You will not be disappointed.
Ren is pure music.

Here is some additional information on Ren's story that I gathered from someone else he got from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's livestreams and posts where he discussed his condition.
Ren is currently in Calgary, Canada for more treatments, including surgeries, and will have to be there for at least six months (Summer of 2023) undergoing IV and other interventions five days a week. Ren recently underwent wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery. In addition, his Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Now, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition.
Let's keep supporting Ren as he undergoes his treatments. Check out and subscribe to his channel, if you are a content creator, ask your audience to subscribe to Ren. Ren's YT channel has less than 1 million subscribers while his videos have garnered millions and millions of views.
Here is the link to Ren’s GoFundMe page to raise money for his current treatment. Ren has exceeded his initial goal. However, his goal was very conservative and did not reflect the added costs of unforeseen surgical procedures, and treatment for additional health issues such as MCAD.
More “art on cocaine” from Ren that is great for reactions is The Tale of Jenny and Screech (he made them prior to Hi Ren)
His repertoire is vast but he can/does lean heavily into counter culture topics a lot of the time
His duets are beautiful as well, Chalk Outlines/How to be Me/Humble
Could literally recommend everything he’s ever produced but the ones listed seem to hit well with the crowds so far
Great reaction 🎉
