I don't believe I will _ever_ get sick of watching new people discover Ren. It's almost a substitute for getting to hear it for the first time yourself all over again.
Welcome to the Ren Rabbit Hole. The first artist in so long who's made this 57 year old sit up and have hope for the future of music. He's an International Treasure.
Same with me, as a 64-year-old lifelong musician. What also gave me hope was that so many other people of all ages and backgrounds latched on to his music, all saying the same thing, that they were feeling jaded by the current music scene and were looking for something authentic. (Lol, I could have used a better phrase than "latched on;" we're not leeches, but we are "thirsty" for real music!)
@@ClearTheRubble7 you only have to see the amount of teens and 20 somethings watching Queen, Willie Nelson or Beatles on here and saying how crap music is for their generation compared to what we had.
@@DazzleMonroe True! I've seen it. But I thought it was only a handful of millennials saying that. Nope, I was wrong. Hopefully this will lead to an independent artist "revolution," with the same impact as the birth of rock'n'roll or the British invasion.
Don't know if anyone mentioned this but this was one take live with multiple cameras. Ren acted each of the parts flawlessly while singing and playing guitar. Many of his songs and videos are one take live. Totally independent with some help from his friends. Check him out.
In an interview he said that's because it was done in 2 or 3 takes, because the landlord didn't want him filming in the basement, so they did it anyway and got it done quick. It might have been a different video if they had a longer time to film, but the simplicity works in it's favour.
Hi Ren is not a one-take in the true sense of the term. Apart from having cuts, towards the end they switch to a handheld camera so those shots are from a separate take. Samuel Perry-Falvey has clarified that in the comments of Jonathan Hiller's reaction to the song.
The fascinating thing about watching reactions to this song is that it generally seems to resonate deeply with people so that instead of talking about the song, reactors talk about themselves. I suspect many of those watching your reaction are not looking for analysis, but are seeking echoes of the way this song impacted them the first time they watched it. Like many, you appeared to start off in professional mode, but then ended up revealing yourself as a human being. Thank you for your frankness.
😭 Thanks so much. The whole irony of all this is, I almost cut off the whole part I was talking about my own experience, because I hesitated about its relevancy. In fact, I almost didn't post this video because I thought maybe it wouldn't have value for anyone. What a wake up call I'm getting from this, really.
Ya I have noticed that the usual reactor personas end up fading off into a trance as they try to comprehend what they are watching... Most composure around analyzing this falls apart as well as this hits many people so differently, but yet seems to have something in common also. Last but not least many people end up showing their "ticks" or poker "tells" while they watch this...
If you find it hard to talk after your first Hi Ren, it means you understood it. As many others said, The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full version) is another must-see. If you want something more light/fun after that, go for either 'Losing It', 'What You Want' or 'I Shot The Sherriff/Toad To Zion/Hip-Hop' by the Big Push (his former band).
I’m 58,I’m lucky to have had the joy that is music in the 80’s and 90’s. This is the best song, music, story, whatever you call it, that i have ever heard. ❤️
Hello! Thank you for this Ren reaction. He has blown up since this song dropped at the end of 2022, and I'm sure you can see why. Every song he does is something different, some "bardcore", some rock, some hip-hop. He has so many influences, went to school for music in Bath, England. Taught himself guitar by watching videos of greats like Jimi Hendrix and slowing them down. He's brilliant with the guitar, and the piano. Also produces his own tracks, and beats.
This is the kind of artistry that gives "broken" people hope. Ren, through this performance piece, has become to a lot of people exactly what he stated in the song, "...the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope". So powerful, so impactful. The song structure itself is incredible. It starts off as a battle between his positive (Angel) and negative (Demon) aspects, the negative then makes an overpowering last ditch effort to reign supreme, tearing free and trying to take control, but ultimately fails as the final act, being the "God" aspect, emerges Triumphant, though still acknowledging and accepting that it will ALWAYS be a battle because we are all "a coin with 2 different sides". It's a beautifully cathartic and raw musical masterpiece. Ren is truly special. Welcome to the Ren rabbit-hole, it's a trip worth taking. This was the 4th take he did and yes, it was done live. Wait until you hear some of his other stuff, especially his storytelling ("The Tale of Jenny & Screech"). You haven't even touched the breadth of this young man's talent yet. The pig character (imo) represents the doctors and therapist who have essentially butchered him for years through their misdiagnosis. It's the system that focuses on peddling more pills than on genuinely trying to help to fix broken/ill people, caring more about profit than individual health. The bastardization of the hippocratic oath. He literally thought he was going insane because he was told repeatedly that the pain and symptoms he was experiencing were all in his head (psychosomatic). He had reached a point where he literally resigned himself to dying before he reached 30. Turns out he had Lyme's disease the whole time and it ran rampant through his system for 10 years, even to the point of causing brain damage. Ironically, if Ren hadn't gone through what he has, would he have ever made the art he has? There's no question that his suffering has shaped his music and now he's finally getting the recognition he undoubtedly deserves. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Ren is special.
Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts with us. I think the song is such a powerful illustration of how impostor syndrome plays out for so many of us with creative aspirations.
Highly Recommend his Jenny and Screech Trilogy next! Just make sure it's the FULL version... with No Cc's on!!! His guitar mastery and storytelling abilities Will Blow Your mind!!!!!! Edit: the Full version is all 3 stories in one video... most importantly... in the right order! It's a Very Dramatic, and heart touching story line that's Difficult to say the least! But one that Needs to be Told, and Shared! To create Conversations! Like this... about mental illness... he touches the topics no one does, or will! He did them separately... but they tie together! You'll see! Hopefully!?!?!?
It's such an emotional rollercoaster to listen to, and watching others experiencing this is just...incredible. There's literally 2 options when doing a reaction video to this song, you either CONSTANTLY stop it and comment...or you are just so deeply involved in it and watch till the end in one go.
You're welcome! I almost didn't post it because I felt like maybe I was not able to be vocal enough about how this made me feel. But I'm glad I did post it afterall
@ElvannReacts So happy ya did! His purpose is just that! Creating Open conversations! Like Jenny and Screech trilogy... it's a Very Difficult topic... yet almost everyone knows someone, if Not themselves, that dealt with it! Welcome to the RENaissance! Please Continue with Ren! Ren IS Music!!! You'll see what I mean! Pick any 10 random tracks... aside from his trilogies, You'll be lucky to find 2 that's similar!!!
The dramatic pause amongst reactors after seeing this is a psychological phenomena in itself. There is always the stare, followed usually by “okay. A lot to unpack here…” ❤
i think this song is a champion for artist. Its represents a voice for all those artiest who feel the way you do. I think its a song that says your voice is valid, and your not wrong to feel the way you do. you are not alone. But even a great artist like ren can feel that way so dont loose your courage.
Hope you go down the Ren rabbit hole. You can't box him in genre-wise. All of his songs are 🔥. The pinnacle of his storytelling theatricality is "The tale of Jenny and screech (Full version)".
Ren's message is all about positivity and being the best you. This is the song that really put him on the map and it surprised him as it's more of a personal piece. He was in the middle of writing and recording a rap album when he released this and he didn't think it would do much but it has become his most watched release. All of the rest of his music going back over a decade has now started to get noticed so just keep on creating the art you want to create and as he said allow the HOPE to drown out the negativity and self doubt. Be true to yourself, create what you want to create and connect with those who respect your work.
You have No Idea what you just stumbled into! Seriously... it's the Deepest Rabbit Hole on here! This Cat has more layers than an onion, more Bars than a Prison!! He crosses Genres better than Anyone I've known in my 40 plus years as a musician!!! A multi-instrumentalist who Cannot be placed into a box! From this type, to Rap, to Reggae, to Pop, to whatever he wants to do... he absolutely Nails it everytime! Keep in mind I've never really cared for Rap... but his lyrics are on such a Higher Level than any Rappers out there by Far!!! For Singing: Englishman in New York, How to be Me, Earned it/Mans World, Chaulk Outlines, etc... For Rap: Illest of our time, Hunger, Losing it, Murderer, etc... Don't pass over his band either... The Big Push... I Shot the Sheriff/Road to Zion/Hip Hop, Bongo Bong, etc... Trust the stranger on the interweb... dig into his older stuff too! Domino's, Hold On, Ready for You, etc... Ya Cannot go wrong with Ren! The RENegades will come!!! Welcome to the RENaissance!!! 😊
you REALLY need to check out his other music, much of it is quite different to this. this kid is stupid talented. He was also part of a group called The Big Push, they put out some good music as well. Welcome to the world of Ren.
For a short while, the first part of this video made me think of a short song from the sixties. Took me some time to find it: "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" by 'Napoleon XIV' . Then the message he really wanted to send his real message in the past past of the video made sense. The song is crude in it's simplicity, but the lyrics are much more powerful. The explanation about your own work and thoughts in the last six minutes here were very Interesting and honest, Elvann 👍
The sound you’re talking about in the guitar part is because he’s using nylon strings on a classical guitar and he is plucking very hard in parts which causes a kind of distortion 😮
Holy shit....... That's bad 😢 I think they are less common in Canada, which means I haven't been vaccinated for them, which I was actually talking about doing just this week. Hopefully you didn't get any illness from it :/
When I did my photoshoot with the white dress (that I have for my profile pictures and website) I found one on my dress. I was paranoid about them for a week or 2 after that.... Luckily I wasn't bitten.
@@ElvannReacts I didn't, but unlucky Ren did. The percentage of the disease carrying ones decreases when living here in north. The vaccination is only for the Lyme's Disease, not help for the borreliosis. Tick is the most dangerous animal here, not the wolf or the bear. Nono!
As a retired actor, I appreciated your reaction immensely and look forward to you diving into Ren's catalog of music. Ren is truly a genre bender who fuses and blends genre's in the most beautiful & satisfying way. Ren is a Singer/Songwriter/Rapper, Poet, Storyteller, multi-instrumentalist Guitar(electric,acoustic)/Bass/Piano/Drums & he also Beatboxs, Producer/Director/Actor. Now you may think, "Jack of all trades and master of none", but you'd be dead wrong and I'll also add this brilliant artist is self taught in all these area's. If you'd like to react to a breath taking song of his not often reacted to on YT, I'd recommend a gorgeous piano ballad by Ren - "Penitence" Ft. Molly McKinna blending Spoken Word & Rap some haunting vocals by his friend Molly. Another favorite of mine is Ren - "Ready for You", where Ren blends elements of Jazz and Rap and as an actor myself I very appreciate his trilogy "The Tale of Jenny & Screech" (full version). Now that one should be watched all in one sitting or you might miss the impact of the ending of Violets Tale which is VERY powerful. The trilogy runs a little over 13min but that just fly's by and by the end you'll realize the brilliance of this Bardcore genre and Ren's storytelling ability. Cheers Elvann, and I'm looking forward to more of you Ren reactions.
I loved hearing your raw connection to the song, your own place in the art world and sharing your vulnerabilities with us all. He's so unique and so are you.
The Vysotsky association was incredible. Not only have I never heard anyone saying it, I didn't think of it myself, and it's on point. Instant subscribe for it. ❤ Hello and thank you fir the reaction. "Sick Boi" is a sort of a companion to Hi Ren, adding info on his story, filmed in the same room, even though or is very different musically. However "The Tale of Jenny and Screech (full)" (the "full" version is 3 songs in one video) is a must. Please just observe that, just like Hi Ren, all songs are recorded live.
Love hearing your thoughts from a musician's perspective, Elvann. Ren spent a lot of his career busking, where he learned how to capture the attention of strangers who are distracted by their daily routine. He connected with people on a human level. This is different from making music to please the radio industry which serves the advertising industry. Yes, it brings financial benefits, which helps pay the bills, but it also takes the humanity out of art. A very difficult balancing act. Keep on creating. Best wishes.
I loved your reaction to this and appreciate your thoughtful response. I too had to sit quietly for 15 minutes (in tears) after it the first time. I look forward to your next ones and I will check out your music when I have better speakers as right now I'm on my phone. Enjoy the gift that is Ren 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💕
It's funny, or not that some of us slightly older folk get this so hard, but where do you get such true emotion, such genuine feeling expressed so well, I never felt a false moment, but it was like somebody came up to me in the street and told me about the real struggles we all have and aid it was all right. I cry every single time I hear this song. I write songs and to me truth is what I am trying to express. Well done Ren.
Also... he's fully independent! I Highly Recommend ya watch at least one of his 4 interviews on here with other reactors and musicians! Justin Hawkins, Rosalie, Black Pegasus, Knox Hill... they were released in that order, if I recall right! His story is Unbelievable... for real... Unbelievable!!!
no matter how many times ive seen reactions to this song, i never fail to cry like a baby. its like he glared into my soul and wrote down everything he saw. i love him, everything he does is emotional is one way or another. it provokes feelings in me that music hasnt in my whole life. his ability to touch people of all ages in mind blowing. im 50, i see comments from people in their 50s 60s 70s that are now die hard fans.
Recommendations: for some fun Ren check out his band The Big Push doing "I Shot the Sherrif/Road to Zion/Hip hop" (live steet performance). As a singer you might like Ren X Chincilla "Chalk Outlines (live)". Then Ren the rapper does "The Hunger".
When creating any kind of art, music, etc, in fact ANYTHING that you create, there will always be people that don't like it, and others that do. If you're completely honest with yourself if you like or not, and the answer is yes, then why care if anyone doesn't like it? Remember, if you like it yourself, then by the law of averages, others will too. If you truly believe something is good, that should be enough for anyone.
I absolutely love your enthusiasm, i loved joining you in this reaction ... it was great to see your real raw emotions .... we all joined you even though we have heard it so many times before .. thank you for being you x
Welcome! Every single song of Ren's is phenomenal. The Big Push his band is a gem. Keep watching Ren. He can bend genre in a way I've never encountered. And the raw realism is true authenticity (a word I hate but Ren is helping me reclaim it) This is pure creativity and every emotion you could imagine. Once you know, you know, and I can tell you know. Thanks for this reaction, and your thoughts. Much appreciated. And Ren has directly thanked reactors like you for his success. Happy to have you in the Reniverse
Not every artist will be famous but bringing music to a smaller number of people is just as important don’t doubt yourself do it for the joy of it peace and love from just another person that appreciate your video and your personal thoughts
I first heard "Hi Ren" several months ago and his talent drew me in and the song itself made me tear up. I had to learn more about him. I watched more videos, saw some of his UA-cam videos about his struggles and triumphs. His honesty and quite frankly his bravery to put it all out there just made me want to reach through the phone and give him a big hug and tell him everything's going to be okay. I love his music and him too. He fought one hell of a battle and I want to follow him and witness him enjoying the life he deserves. ❤❤love, peace, and respect Ren.
Yes, like Russian or possibly Eastern European folk music, that was my thought too when I first heard that part. I’ve watched something like 40 reaction videos to this song, and you are the only person that mentioned that, nice catch! An awesome and genuine reaction as well, thank you! I hope you do more Ren videos, he’s so musically diverse. I’m sure you’ll see recommendations for his most popular songs, but I suggest you also listen to his older songs as well even if you don’t make videos about them. Cheers!
I have watched a lot of reactions to “Hi Ren”. You are the first to notice a line that stood out to me deeply, “I learned to suffer”. That is such a deep lesson in life. Your reaction is so true dear, and personal. Thanks.
Welcome to the Reniverse, fortunately our brains are all in the same state after Hi Ren, now the journey can begin. Love Music 1, 2, 3, and 4 spread over the last 12 years with 4 just being released this morning, Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla (all his songs with Chinchilla), Murderer, Praise You when he was with the Big Push, the list is so long as you will find out. Thanks for your great reaction new sub and a huge like for your reaction.
Hello Elvann I've seen you with Heline and I much appreciate you and your work🎼 I hope all is going well with you and I very much enjoy this reaction I have tried to get Heline to listen to this with no success😉 I've enjoyed Ren for several years now he is a total blast🌿💔
I liked your reaction alot because it was a struggle to find the words which is what the song meant for me too. The struggle and recognizing how deeply it manifested in my life and i wasnt aware how strong the voice is for me. Why am i even bothering to play music. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sharing your reaction. I would like to say that there is a difference between being speechless or inarticulate because of some deficit in ability, versus being overcome with genuine emotion. I don't think anyone watching your video could possibly believe that you were acting or pretending to be overcome; so when you question whether you're making sense, or conveying your point, part of what you're so beautifully sharing with us is that the art was powerful enough to make you lose your bearings for a bit. And you were quite articulate for almost the entire video; the parts where you clearly couldn't find the words just made what you shared with us more powerful and authentic. Great job!
Ren is so wonderful. He is beautiful and talented and his catalog is varied. And yes it does sound a little like Russian folk music. Спасибо большое ❤❤❤❤❤
You're totally right about Ren and Vysotsky. I was born in Russia and my dad used to sing his songs to us. I never thought of the comparison to Ren, but you're spot on, good call.
This is art of transcendent beauty and an *important* song. Artists often struggle with imposter syndrome. There’s a movie starring Olivia Munn called “Violet” that rings of this and was a transformative experience for me… just as this song also resonates. As a person who’s never been able to escape imposter syndrome and negative self-talk, *realizing* that I can exert the strength that destructive voice questions-strength that I *know* I have-was sooo important. It takes time to push past the negativity-to make your own voice stronger, but if anyone out there is struggling with this, please please please *know* that you can do it. *Know* that I believe in you… but you don’t need me to-just like you don’t need the shroud of doubt that feels first of protection and then as a prison. You are *stronger* than that voice. You are stronger than you can *possibly* know… until you push back with softness or aggression-your choice.
Yeah i know! Been watching reactions to this for a year got turned on to it the first week it came out. Haven't stoped watching reactions since. Yours Was one of the best. He has lots of good stuff hope you enjoy
This masterpiece of art does something that very few in the industry manage to do. And that is that people actually start to think and contemplate on what it means to be. To be human and all of what it entails.
Yes. So many levels of artistry to process so that it becomes mesmerizing. Thank you fir your analysis and reactions! Good luck with YOUR music as well!
Marvelous. I've lost count of the reactions to this that I've watched (and I keep seeking more). My favorites tend to be by those who are artists themselves, who wind up FEELING the message very directly. Thank you,. Complete non sequitur--I love your dragon necklace!
You are awsome!! This world was born from noise.. the silence is deafening with out the beautiful noises!! Please never stop!! ❤❤❤❤ you have so Much left to do!! Please continue! I’m rooting for you!!
Thank you for the uninterrupted viewing, I do so enjoy seeing the raw and unfiltered emotional reactions to Ren's Artistry for the first time. Ren has a tapped into and laid bare his/our inner psyches and has had a profound impact on us all.
It's insane how many times I've watched this with and without reactions. I'm about to turn 57, but I've never experienced anything like this. Thanks to Ren, I have come to appreciate rap. Never would have believed it.
The fear is a constant. You are currently and will always be enough. The things that we put value on aren't always obvious, but if you're creating something then it's worth it and valuable.
Too many times I have loosened the noose on the rope.... this song and metallica's fade to black has saved me... Blue October's Hate me is well worth a listen... new subscriber from the uk...
I was so happy, when you mentioned the Russian legend Vysotski. I'm from Eastern Europe and here we call what he did with his music a singing poetry. His art was raw, heartbreaking and choking, because he was truly a tortured soul. In singing poetry in general you have everything that life itself has - suffering, humour, irony, love, beauty, everything. And there is no holding back. And I agree that Ren belongs to this amazing group of people, because his songs have this enormous impact you can't deny the same way Vysotski influenced the Eastern Bloc. People loved his music and you can only imagine how hard it was to love anything coming from Russia, but he did it, he was that amazing as an artist. Reacting to Vysotski can be hard without translation, but Diana Ankudinova sings the cover of his song you can find on YT and someone translated the lyrics, so anyone interested can go and check it out.
Great video. You get t he details and recognize the confusion of it all. I think I've had a paradigm shift in mi life with this. Validating myself, I'm not alone. But, hopeful and supportive all the ways.
Do we have any Ren songs we'd like you to react to? What a question for Renegades! We have long lists, here's mine: 1. Tale of Jenny, Screech, and Violet. It's a trilogy, important you listen to these in order. Ren has put them together in order in one 13-minute video (full.) 2. After "Hi Ren," and Tales, something fun is called for: "90's" "Losing It," or "Love Music" and "Love Music 2". 3. At this point you'll have had a taste of Ren's range, and "Money Game 1" and "Money Game 2" would be appropriate. Be sure you watch the Lyric video for MG2 -- it's longer, not the same lyrics as the live version. Loved your heartfelt & articulate reaction to "Hi Ren." I'll keep an eye out for your next Ren!
REN is a superb artiste, performer, songwriter, composer. It’s impossible to categorise him, as you’ll realise if you explore more of his (huge) back catalogue. Enjoy the journey, it’s the best I’ve been on in my 68 years! Ps: I have the “patchwork” sofa that matches your chair, lush. 🙂🌸
Loved this reaction. More Ren: "Tale of Jenny and Screech", "Sick Boi", "Crutch", "Chalk Outlines", "Humble", "Ready For You", "It's Alight", "Murderer", Love Music Parts 1,2,3 and 4. Thank you for reacting to Ren.
Great reaction to this most amazing performance. Maybe Chalk Outlines Live with Chinchilla next and then 200 ( inc The Big Push ) others to enjoy, there are all different in many ways!
Welcome to the Renosphere. Get ready for one of the most beautiful trips of your life to the world of art. Get ready to meet and delight yourself (I'm sure) with the work of a true Artist with a capital A! Oh! and that reaction / expression on your face?!... Some call it the REN effect!
enjoy the ren ride his music started with him and his pal called trick the fox ,then the big push the album freckled angels is a set of live and recordings then the ren we have today this video was live recording of ren singing and playing ,all done in 1 take from 4 camera angles
Thanks your sincere yet emotional reaction, I feel it echoed this brilliant masterpiece ( possibly unique would be another way of putting it) : I saw Hi Ren before. I found it heartbreaking. Your reaction has so much empathy that I cried (I know, big boys don’t cry) Thank you for such an analogy locked with beautiful discourse. This reaction is the best. Richard from London. You deserve a kiss (x) But I’ll respect your personal boundaries
Hey hi Richard 😌💜. Thanks so much, really glad you liked my reaction! The irony is such that, I was speechless in a way I hadn’t been making a reaction before; so much so I almost didn’t post this video because I thought that maybe that’s not what a reaction should be. But I decided to overcome that unease/insecurity… And here we are!
You're so honest with yourself and so open about your own experiences, it really adds to the song and further strengthens the empowerment and shared human experience of this piece of art. So, thank you. And yes, it is hard: the duality, the struggle between feeling what we do is "worthy" or "enough" and the need to express ourselves in this manner. It's like Schrödinger's Music Box :D When there is a need to look at it and become validated in a sense, or simply a need to have a roof over our head and something to eat, it kinda already takes away from the artistic expression. But to be truly free of this also seems like an unobtainable goal which should not be what we strive for, which serves as a distraction of what does lie within our sphere of influence and realm of possibilities. So, keep it up, for art's sake. It's worth it, even if it impacts only a single other person. Which it already did
Welcome to the Reniverse. You've probably got a lot of questions. Don't worry, Jens will be along shortly with a pamphlet to explain everything. In the meantime, enjoy some more music. May I recommend something a bit more fun. "Losing It" will lift your spirits before you dive into another deep one.
I don't believe I will _ever_ get sick of watching new people discover Ren. It's almost a substitute for getting to hear it for the first time yourself all over again.

He says ( I learned to soften) at the end although he is talking about acceptance and pain is part of that.
Thank you for your honest reaction and welcome to the ren rabbithole.😊
The silence of reacting people after that...☀🌧🌈
thank you for this Elvann .. really liked your reaction to this
You're welcome! I almost didn't post it because I felt like maybe I was not able to be vocal enough about how this made me feel. But I'm glad I did post it afterall
@@ElvannReacts That's ironic -- fighting with yourself about posting this.
@@frontfit This!!! Zackly!!!
@@frontfit Isn't it truly the best irony of all? For real.
The dramatic pause amongst reactors after seeing this is a psychological phenomena in itself.
There is always the stare, followed usually by “okay. A lot to unpack here…” ❤
...or "what the f%#k was that??!"
i think this song is a champion for artist. Its represents a voice for all those artiest who feel the way you do. I think its a song that says your voice is valid, and your not wrong to feel the way you do. you are not alone. But even a great artist like ren can feel that way so dont loose your courage.
The emotion in your voice during the final comments! Very moving.
Very interesting song and reaction. Never heard of him before.
you REALLY need to check out his other music, much of it is quite different to this. this kid is stupid talented.
The lights, the difference in voices, the difference in plucking the guitar strings.
Be aware the ticks. One lived in my hip about a week a couple of Summers ago.
Nono!
Ledum cured my Lyme disease
Ren...the genius ...the phenomenal man...the only artist in the past 20 years that has made an unbelievable impression on me .
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hello and thank you fir the reaction.
Best wishes.
absolutely love your reaction and analysis!
I love the way reacting to Ren turns into an inadvertent therapy session for reactors 😂. Nicely done by both.
Also... he's fully independent!
I've watched 30+ of these reactions and they never get old. Glad you found him.
Welcome! Every single song of Ren's is phenomenal. The Big Push his band is a gem. Keep watching Ren. He can bend genre in a way I've never encountered. And the raw realism is true authenticity (a word I hate but Ren is helping me reclaim it)
This is pure creativity and every emotion you could imagine.
Cheers!
It reminds me of mediaeval music too.
Thanks for your beautiful and honest reaction!
I subbed, not only because I'm a Ren fan, but because you have real substance as a reactor and musician; it definitely showed in this video!
Thanks so much, that really means a lot to me 💖
I have watched a lot of reactions to “Hi Ren”.
Great job!
I came across Ren yesterday and oh my god I cant stop watching this brilliant artist!
You make a lot of sense. In fact I like your commentary so much as it felt PART 2 of the song we just heard because it was all so appropo. Loved you.
Ren is so wonderful. He is beautiful and talented and his catalog is varied. And yes it does sound a little like Russian folk music. Спасибо большое ❤❤❤❤❤
Welcome to the Ren-hole, grip on! x ( I've subbed you because you never paused this!)
I'm 50.. you have a lot of catching up do do. Many songs from ren will leave you speechless. Good reactions
As a poet, a singer, and someone who was suicidal I'm the past, ren speaks to me on so many levels and it touches me to find people who he effects
Ren......leaving reactors speechless since December 2022 🤣👍✌♥️
Amen...and will keep on doing it for years to come 😅
You're totally right about Ren and Vysotsky. I was born in Russia and my dad used to sing his songs to us. I never thought of the comparison to Ren, but you're spot on, good call.
I'll keep this super simple. You earned a new subscription. I would love to watch you react to more songs by Ren and other skilled artists.
You are stronger than you can *possibly* know…
until you push back with softness or aggression-your choice.
Thank you for your reaction, enjoyed it!! A little off topic, but love your necklace.
Yes. So many levels of artistry to process so that it becomes mesmerizing. Thank you fir your analysis and reactions!
Good luck with YOUR music as well!
Elvann, the first I watched you was a Nightwish reaction of yours. I just loved it. Then you got to do music with them O_O . You're a fantastic lady
❤❤❤❤ you have so
Much left to do!! Please continue! I’m rooting for you!!
So beautiful to see someone so touched by this.
It floored me too when I found it.
Welcome to a new world of true integrity and raw truth.
Subbing! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😉 Ren is amazing,period.
Beautiful reaction Elvann you are about to go on an adventure exploring REN’s music 🎶
I love your format on this reaction and everything you've expressed after the song.
Thanks a lot 😁 hope to see you around then!
Great video. You get t he details and recognize the confusion of it all. I think I've had a paradigm shift in mi life with this. Validating myself, I'm not alone. But, hopeful and supportive all the ways.
Do we have any Ren songs we'd like you to react to? What a question for Renegades! We have long lists, here's mine:
1. Tale of Jenny, Screech, and Violet. It's a trilogy, important you listen to these in order. Ren has put them together in order in one 13-minute video (full.)
If you are going down the Ren rabbit hole get used to saying wow and being speechless
Wonderful reaction to this video, Thank you!
You're brilliant thanks for the content.
Love from the UK ❤
Elvann you lovely lady, you looked to be really sad at times watching Ren. Do keep watching his other work.
Speachless is also a propper reaction. 😊 Nice reaction, thank you.
enjoy the ren ride his music started with him and his pal called trick the fox ,then the big push the album freckled angels is a set of live and recordings then the ren we have today this video was live recording of ren singing and playing ,all done in 1 take from 4 camera angles
Thanks your sincere yet emotional reaction, I feel it echoed this brilliant masterpiece ( possibly unique would be another way of putting it) : I saw Hi Ren before. I found it heartbreaking. Your reaction has so much empathy that I cried (I know, big boys don’t cry) Thank you for such an analogy locked
with beautiful discourse.
So glad you did. Look at the outcome: A lovely discourse. Best wishes Richard
Beautiful reaction,
Loved your reaction (Subbed). This is one of many Ren tracks that will leave you speechless. I will be here for more of your stunned reactions.
Great review! The lyrics at the end are "I learned to relax... and I learned to soften".
Welcome to Ren,enjoy the ride,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
