Love This! Inspiring & great video.
The zomes look and seem very well thought out & ingeniously simple. Well done & aloha from Hawaii 🤙 I also lived in Olympia for many years. I will for sure be following your journeys & I would love to host your team if I can fund a build.
The flower skylight and it's reflections are particularly magical!
    Aloha

Super cool. How much to fly you out to South Kona to build this exact 20 foot dome? I would build with you because I'm a contractor and you can definitely stay at the property. We've got 6 acres with beautiful ocean views. I'd have the material is sitting there and we probably build it on a slab. Aloha!

I really like how this Zome turned out. I just wonder how you would get the depth for insulation in the cavities to come up with R 15.

You can make the cavities as deep as you want. This one in Hawaii doesn’t need to be insulated so no need to overbuild!

@@trilliumdomes what I see you using for your frames looks to be about the same as a 2x2 give or take that's why I was asking.

@@krissfemmpaws1029 a good builder will build to the needs of the situation, which is why we used 2x3 in this situation. Even 2.5” of polyiso can get you past r-15 though

@@trilliumdomes I understand building to your needs or to the idiots that will be using the equipment... About the time you think you have out smarted the management... management brings in a better idiot.
When I get caught up I will be ordering your plans bundle and the Bucky Ball, I like the truncated dome I like how you make it simple to build.

Curious how many linear feet of lumber total a dome like this takes? Also how many total sheets of ply. Want to price out with local lumber prices to get a ball park figure.
