I suffer from bipolar disorder and manic depression... I am telling you now, he's going through it right now. He's in need of real help. Please don't gloss over this with video after video... You all need to stage an intervention and get him into a facility with psychologists and therapists instead of rehab. He has to get help or he will be full manic when he realizes what has happened. If you don't help him... He could get suicidal. As a man who suffers from this daily, I'm very concerned for his safety and health

In one of his videos he stated he went off all his medication and he felt so much better. That's when I could see things were getting worse in his behavior. His followers do need to tell him it was a wrong move and needs to seek help. Lots of UA-cam's are saying the same thing, he needs help. Truly hope it happens soon. I wish nothing but the best for you and keep fighting this terrible disorder. 💞

You have such a wonderful heart, Pete. I really enjoy your videos and very inspirational. As far as this young man you are referring to, I have watched several of his videos and clearly he’s reaching out for solutions and I hope that he finds his inner peace. Bipolar disorder affects so many people and one of the many symptoms of bipolar depression is compulsivity. I watched Fousey spending large amounts of money on cars and material things hoping that will make him feel better about himself.
As far as my battle with depression, my compulsive behavior led me to food and alcohol. I spent a good portion of my life overweight and unhealthy, unhappy and unmotivated. I quit drinking 11 years ago and started to eat healthy, hit the gym and work on myself. Today, I feel better than I ever did in my 20s and 30s.
Today, I am compulsive about my health and weight training exercises!! What a wonderful change!! Lol

This is the first ever video I've seen of you and I just have to say that I really appreciate how respectful and open you are talking about Fousey and mental health in general. I have found that it helps me deal with my mental illnesses when people are open about their experiences and are non-judgmental about it. Just the supportive community created around mental health has been a big factor in my journey to recovery.
I’m glad people are talking about this. It’s interesting to watch this all happen from the same point of view as you, as someone who has had a family member deal with this. I really hope he gets the help he needs.
Pete, you are absolutely correct, he is in the middle of a serious manic episode. Someone, whether it be his mom and dad, friends whoever somebody needs to get him some help and soon before it's too late. Thanks for bringing awareness to the situation I hope others do the same.

My dad has literally all the symptoms of bipolar from the "I can do no wrong" god complex to the manic outbursts and mental delusions and it drives me and my mom crazy bc he mentally abuses us and refuses to even consider that he's ill. I pray fousey can see your message or just get it into his head somehow and realize whats really going on, its clear he has good intentions but he can't bring them to life like this
Depression is honestly a very serious illness. I suffer from Depression myself. It's not a good place to be in. This needs to be taken seriously and talked about more. And I hope Yousef gets the help he needs immediately. Thank You Pete for addressing this issue 🙏💕

My opinion is that Fousey saw the whole Kanye media storm a few months back and watched him talk about going off all his meds, how creative he is now and how much better he feels... so Fousey went off his meds in turn; he idolizes Kanye and wants to be "on top" of the game again. The 'delusions of grandeur' he's having right now are so classic mania, and he's going to come down as hard as he went up. it's going to be scary. I'm genuinely worried for him. It almost seems like the more pushback he gets from the public on social media, the higher he climbs and the more manic he's getting. He has said 3 times now in 24 hours that he's leaving social media... only to come back hours later with more crazy tweets and videos. All of this public backlash is feeding the frenzy in his head. WHERE ARE HIS FAMILY MEMBERS RIGHT NOW? Simmie seems like a pretty level headed person, how is she supporting this? I truly don't get it. Unless behind the scenes, they are trying to get him help and just not saying anything publicly. I'm hoping that's the case. And I hope this doesn't end in tragedy.

AcidGlow that’s not how mental illness works. Just cause you’re in a good position in your life doesn’t matter to chemical imbalances. You can’t just will yourself to be happy when you have a chemical imbalance. Not trying to attack but that type of rhetoric feeds into the notion that mental illness is a choice

people who are only mildly or moderately ill can often be pulled back to sanity and a well balanced life just with good choices, good friends, and a supportive environment... usually over a long period of time like 6 to 48 months
i think it is only the severely imbalanced people who require constant chemical rebalancing... and i think in the most extreme cases it is for their entire life
i dunno the degree of Fousey's illness, so i have no idea how much help he needs... only reason i replied was to point out that there are degrees of mania, and that AcidGlow might have been referring to the moderately deranged people :)

Dr. Sebi speaks on psychotic episodes very well.Your theory is one of many, I have used exercise, healthy diet, fasting, and spending time with myself and natural environments to turn the tide of a manic event. U are saying he is wrong but you are just as wrong, nobody is the same. Studies prove meds DONT CURE MENTAL ILLNESS IT PUTS IT AT BAY FOR A TIME. Choice and non-choice is very much part of it.

Also, some people (including some people close to him) are not even aware that he is exhibiting harmful behavior.
They are just like, "oh he is on that grind, he is trying to stay positive, he wants to change the world and help people. What's so wrong with that?"
Meanwhile, his mental health is deteriorating and most of the people who recognize it, do so because they are detached.

Yes he is definitely in a manic episode.. I suffer from bipolar manic depression and when we are in a manic episode we are very hyper, our mind doesn't shut off, it just keeps going and we do and say things that we would not normally say or do.. We get embarrassed when we come down.. Mental illness is shunned upon.. I wish there was a cure.. I would give anything to not have to live like this.. I struggle every minute of everyday.. He just went off his medication too so I have no doubt in my mind that this is a manic episode and it's being supplemented by all these people saying yes yes yes go fousey you can do it, go with god. It's insane, i feel bad for the guy and he's investing all this money and promising people futures. I'm sure he'll find a way through this but the people around him need to slow him down and give him some real advice and not go along with what he's doing.

He talked to his doctor before he got off his meds, I can tell you right now his doctor would have told him it was not a good idea if he didn't think he was ready to be off them... people keep saying he needs to get back on them, but just last year he almost killed him self well taking the pills, these kind of pills mess with your head, research it!

Holy shit, I though no one was going to say this. I'm so happy you did. I met Fousey once at the Roman Fousey tour in Toronto (From Mississauga) and briefly mentioned that some of his videos remind me of myself as I have Bipolar (not to mention ADHD, Savant Aspergers, OCD, Anxiety, Clinical Depression). At that time he hadn't said anything publicly that I'm aware of about having Bipolar. When I heard he did it made a lot more sense. The moment I heard him start going on about "Gods Plan" and having his whole motivational thinking and "Higher Thinking", I knew he was hitting a high. Like others who go through this daily and who know how bipolar works untreated with Meds (or for some Medical Cannabis), he's rather going to crash and possibly even kill himself (based on him being very vocal about it), or get to a point where he injures others and himself. He is not safe to himself or the public like this. Someone needs to get him help, and fast.

Pete, Thank you. This is the first youtuber I've really seen say this about the situation. I have Bipolar 2 and it can be HORRIBLE! I am on medication and finally stable. I am so sorry your dad has it but hope he's doing well. I tried being a fan and letting him know he needs help and sadly had to cut ties because of my mental health. You are a kind wonderful person.
I am glad someone else recognized his manic episode. What kind of Dr. approved him suddenly going off his meds. Like you my Dad had manic-depression starting when I was a teenager. I don't know if you felt the way I did, but he scared me so much. I fell like people who suffer from this pick a target to be angry with. I was my Dad's target! I didn't understand, but then my Dad's doc talked to me. I quit blaming myself and tried to help him. He then got Cancer and I stayed with him 12 hours a day and we talked. He was rational, apologized and I accepted. I was an only child and so was he. Now my son is 42 and he has been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. He is an only child and has a only child. I guess you could say I am a Bipolar Sandwich! Don't get me wrong I have followed Yousef for a long time and I thought I saw this coming. I 100% agree with u on this, Fousey really needs some serious help and I hope he gets it, I strongly believe he would have been much better off staying with his family, he had so much support there. I'm really worried that things r going to get much worse for him and I don't want to see that happen. He needs serious serious help, but only HE can decide whether or not he wants to get help, he needs to realize that he needs it and accept it before even receiving it. I hope things turn around for the better for him and he gets the help he desperately needs.
Pete, I agree with every word you said.... I have a 21 year old son who has suffered from bipolar and schizophrenia. I think his parents are on top of it hopefully.
