I still think Clegg would have been the best leader of the three - shame he had to go and have his parties hopes destroyed by partnering with the Tories
I like Alex Brooker, but I've got to say he didnt let this flow at all. I actually found it hard to watch, not letting Clegg speak or answer the questions put to him. I agree with other commenters here too, Clegg has clawed back a small amount of respect here.
It's no less than most interviewers do now frankly. They're too busy badgering the politician / interviewee to actually get a coherant point across, either way whether it's to dissagree with their point or support it. It feels like an incredible dis-service to the public and probably why so many peoplee still didn't know which way to vote in the EU referendum.
+Mongo Boogie it's a difficult situation for journalists, it can get confusing with their interference but if you just let politicians answer at their own pace they have a tendency to go off track and spin things so you don't know anything about the question but think they seem likeable.
I know, it's a very dificult balance to strike; Stopping the politician from clouding your mind with their retoric at the same time as extracting the truth of the matter from them and cutting through their nonsense. It takes aa very talented journalist, which is an all too rare thing.
Funny how a comedian managed to improve his likeability by bearing all of his dirty laundry - Sort of made him face up to everything and we got to see past the bullshit. Very clever. All politicians should learn from this. Cut the pretence.
Nick Clegg has a decent personality, unfortunately him and his part are more interested in voting reform than protecting the disabled / poor from benefit cuts.
Or he was going on a popular show to try and address people across the country like Alex who don't vote, he could have made a much better argument if he was given more than 30 seconds to explain he clearly had more to say but was rushed
So much respect for Alex, not letting any BS political crappy answers through. Clegg kept trying to derail the conversation, he made the interview so hard and he seemed a bit defensive 🙄
Well now... Clegg has actually managed to get a bit of respect back from me for this. Seems like a decent guy, too bad i don't agree with his policies.
Typical politician: “Okay, but first let me ask you a question ‘ totally derails from topic.’ ” Love to save their own butts Instead of making sure everybody is on the same level of understanding..
Clegg was ahead of the curve about Dominic Cummings...
ikr, impressive
definitely hahahaha
Clegg actually won back a little of my respect here.
Not my vote.
But a smudge of respect.
Best interview of a politician I've seen, actually made him answer
I'm glad Nick Clegg did this, it makes him more human than the rest, I won't vote lib dem but I do want to see them in another coalition this may.
Mitch Webb Guess we're both disappointed then. I voted for them.
Clegg has got a sense of humor who would've though!!?
313313ful Yeah, he has a sense of humor. He just doesn't have a spine.
"That was a car crash interview"
"This ain't going much better mate"
😂😂😂
Clegg casually calling out Cumming 5 years ahead of cue (4:27)
If you're struggling to persuade Alex Brooker to do something, always mention Nandos!

"I won't lose my seat"
2017: loses his seat 😂
Proud Clegg over here👋👋
Alex made it so hard for him to talk he WANTED to get to the point. Would be good to do this with every politician because they always drag it out.
4:33 That aged well
Can this guy just interview everyone?
4:42 Omg he predicted the future
Nick is a born comedian.
Funny how a comedian managed to improve his likeability by bearing all of his dirty laundry - Sort of made him face up to everything and we got to see past the bullshit. Very clever. All politicians should learn from this. Cut the pretence.

To be fair Cameron didn't have the balls to go on. Nick put himself in that position,
Whatever happened to Douglas Alexander?
Wasn't this the impression's guy from bgt
Finally a politician who isn't avoiding the question of whether or not Alex should vote.
Or he was going on a popular show to try and address people across the country like Alex who don't vote, he could have made a much better argument if he was given more than 30 seconds to explain he clearly had more to say but was rushed
I need a Ballshit buzzer
He got the deficit confused with the debt.
So much respect for Alex, not letting any BS political crappy answers through. Clegg kept trying to derail the conversation, he made the interview so hard and he seemed a bit defensive 🙄
