"Shaggy. I asked him and he said he hasn't got one, repeatedly denied it"
I'm not sure how many people got that. I love it.
"It wasn't me"
I'm a Scot on an "extraordinary ability" visa in the U.S. and my friends constantly rip the piss out of me about that so this was a very relatable segment 😂
Adam would be right at home with the revolving door PMs: he is, after all, Australian!
I understand Adam failing their test. He's now a UK citizen, the IQ damage is already showing.
I met Ross King when I was a kid too! I was about 9 and it was at the village hall in Cumbernauld. He was a DJ at Radio Clyde and for some reason he was the guest star at something!
Why did Adam have to take a citizenship test if he had permanent leave to stay?
He's not changing his nationality from what he said
Permanent residency is different. A path to citizenship. Another 2 years and he would have to take a citizenship test I believe? Well that's how it is here in Australia.
He had to take it to GET permanent residence, he was previously there on his entertainment visa
Better than getting deported whenever the government decides to 😂😂
Permanent residency and citizenship are not the same thing. Also, you don't have to "change" nationality. Most countries, including the UK and Australia, allow dual citizenship.
I wondered the same thing. I know a few EU nationals who got permanent residency just by asking for it, no test required. Would it have anything to do with him being a non-EU national?
The only thing Francis Crick discovered is a woman's note book
That is such nonsense.
@@billdavis9612 It is well known that Crick stole Rosalind Franklin note book, with out this they would never have come close
@Schrödinger's cat This is entirely incorrect. He didn't steal anything. They used Franklin's data without her knowledge and she should have been credited as *contributing to* the discovery but the suggestion that he stole her work and didn't come up with anything himself is absolute nonsense
@@Deimos2k5 Ok ill just take your car with out your knowledge shall I?
Its steeling and plagiarism for using some one else's work with out crediting them.
@@Deimos2k5 They did give her and Wilkins credit, and when Crick and Watson published , Wilkins and Franklins' articles were published right next to theirs.
gaun yersel'. that's a big step.
Permanent residency is hardly the same as citizenship.
The "Life in the UK" test that they're talking about is the same test you need to take to get British citizenship.
🤣🤣🤣
So is he coming back for more Spicks and Specks next year?
Nah, the ABC will just rerun episodes from 5 years ago like they normally do
and then look up the US citizenship questions and weep. That's shit 99% of European kids learn in middle school
Mr Hill's is a "You" problem now
Most actual British citizens would never pass the test
Its not a test.. its a bar... and its skyhigh to keep people out not allow them in.. Its like saying the border is for the protection of migrants.. its the opposite.. its there to protect us FROM migrants..
@@Validboy yes we definitely need protection from people seeking asylum, not the nutjobs born in england running around stabbing everyone and throwing acid in peoples faces. english are the worst part of the uk
I thought Crick and Watson's discovery of DNA structure is general knowledge...
Franklin, Crick, and Watson
@@JacksonBockus Unfortunately, Rosalind Franklin remains a pretty obscure historical figure, probably because she wasn´t awarded a Nobel Prize :(
@@kefinkamed You can't win if you're dead, as she was. And her associate Maurice Wilkins was awarded along with Watson and Crick, but no more than three can share the award, so if she was still alive when it was awarded it's more likely that Wilkins would have been snubbed and the award gone only to Crick and Watson.
@@billdavis9612 From what I read on the subject, there was no official rule against awarding it post-mortem but it had never been done before. I didn´t know there can be only three people sharing the award.
@@kefinkamed Not really pretty obscure given every time the DNA nobel prize is brought up about half the comments section is about her.
"officially granted permanent residency in the uk"? i mean, congrats, but also, wtf would you want that for? personally i'm kinda sorry i can't get transportation to the colonies.
He works in the UK and now he doesnt need to reapply for a visa
Why is it that Australia has the queen/king as their head of state but someone still hast to get visa and that stuff?
@@MissRaindrop24 thry are seperate counties, and to work and stuff? most definitely
@@MissRaindrop24 you don't need a visa to visit the UK. You don't need a Visa to visit Australia as a UK citizen, but you can't just decide to live there.
@@stopitnowlol6697 well I’m from Germany and I’m pretty sure I could just move to France and work there with just my ID card. And that completely different countries but in the EU. I was just curious sind Uk and Aus are both in the commonwealth so I guessed it would be similar there.
Funny it was all about England not the United kingdom ?
There are four different versions, depending which nation you apply in. Since Adam lives in England, he'll have taken the English version of the test.
Wasn't Charles 1st king of both England and Scotland? Only guessing, I am an aussie.
🙄 whoosh, people miss the satire...the problem is it's the UK in name only! The focus, power and money are always in England
First
What happened to the full shows Adam? These little clips are rubbish. Aussie can't watch you now....thanks mate.
Can we now ban him from here?
Adam Hills is a nice guy, but he's not much of a comedian....
Why is he still using that ridiculous accent?
You’re asking why an Australian has an Australian accent?
@@collieman It's called humour. Adam would approve.
its upper class
@@peterritchie5593 You're claiming Ozzies have upper classes?
I think you're pushing it there mate.
Who, Widdicombe?
