The Sea of Cortez video was gorgeous. The water blending with the sky - like it just went on forever. The flying fish, the abandon area, the seashells - Sweet Sadie and her massive wood toy... :). Just fantastic (aside from the flies!). Thanks for the lovely vacation. America, as well as many other countries, have changed dramatically over the last 4 years. This has taken it's toll on certain freedoms and the bodies, minds and spirits of the people. But that's a discussion for another day. Meanwhile...we must all do what you do. Appreciate the present and find joy in it.
if you want to see the Sea of Cortez from an ocean view Salt and Tar have some amazing views from their sail boat. It is an interesting place to explore for sure.
Girls adventures are the best because you show the details that are missed by folks who vacation hard and fast because they don't have much time! Two months seems about right. Thanks for sharing!
I've spent quite a lot of time in Mexico. I recall after one long stay I was driving home and stopped at a highway rest stop outside of Bakersfield, CA. I chuckled to myself when I found the restroom was clean, nothing was broken, the toilets had seats on them and there was even toilet tissue provided ! Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy Mexico, but it does require some adjustments.
Love your videos and showing how other people live. The different land and water! I lived in NM Rocky Mountains in the summer and hiked almost every day, always taking the trail less traveled!
Hi Carolyn, I'm an American international school teacher living and teaching in China for the past eight years (prior to that I lived in Mongolia for three years). When my daughter graduates from high school here, I will retire from teaching (but tutor online) and go full time RV! We still have three years left in China, though. I discovered your channel after you visited Terlingua, Texas- one of my favorite places in the USA. Watching your channel is my happy place. My teenage daughter watched some with me, recently of you shopping at the grocery store in Canada. She thought I was nuts to be so enthralled by an ordinary grocery store trip. I thinks she's nuts for watching videos of other people playing video games (not playing them, just watching others play them). So we decided we understand each other better. Your RV travel videos are my virtual RV fix! I really enjoy the quiet moments and scenery as much as your narration. Thank you so much for creating this channel and these videos. They bring me inspiration. I recently became a member to show my appreciation.
When I am in Mexico I do NOT miss Walmart, Safeway/Albertsons, Fred-Meyer, Starbucks... any of those... So yeah... When I come back after 3-4 months in Mexico I do not rush out to the store.... after being back a Month I am ready to head back down to Central Mexico though... It's nearly the same temperature all year... just a dry or wet season... I miss them both!!
Have loved these videos of Baja. I love my USA (I’m a 72 year old female and I’ve left a few comments here and there thru these years with u), and the freedoms I enjoy vs so much of the world, but yea, it no longer looks or feels like the USA I grew up in. Makes me very sad . Fear has replaced the joy in so many people’s lives. I too loved Mexico, the people and the desert beauty. But I’m not brave like u. BUT I AM working g on it cause I need to b and feel more independent with traveling solo . You do ‘nature’ perfectly, the photography is stunning and I love that u capture the beauty in even the simplest of what life has for us out there. Take care. Sadie girl, you have the perfect life. 🐾❤️🐾
The US is the best. And we're lucky to be able to freely go to Baja (which is amazing). I went to Baja in the 90s and it was even less developed. It was so cool
Tons of coyotes here in Arizona where I live too . I walk my dogs about 2 hours a day. Recently they have taken an interest in one of my dogs that is about Sadie's size. My other dog is huge. I became very concerned so I purchased a can of Mace. It won't hurt the coyotes but can save your dog in an emergency ambush. Just a suggestion. ❤
Coyote's, will attack her & kill Saddy. Coyote's do attack human's. Coyote's, can have up to 8 to 10 pups with each litter , each spring. They breed, in February & have their young, in April. They will chase their prey, innto the pack, that is waiting up ahead.
The first time we went to Mexico I had to lay in bed at night so I can hear the lightweight curtains rustling in the breeze and the best sound ever, the ocean lapping onto the beach. So thank you for just letting nature fill the air, it sent me to my ‘happy place’💞💞. Those islands in the sea of Cortez looked like icebergs!
I have never been south of the US border, so watching this video was fantastic to see. The ocean and islands were fantastic! Thank you for taking me along with you.
Me too! On one particular time out of the US working,(and it was not Mexico, I prefer not to say what country) I actually DID kiss the ground. I was SO glad to be HOME in the United States....
Great Video!! I new the BAJA was a desert like environment BUT your Video gave me a Clear Understanding of just what type of terrain this actually is. It is this type of RV Video experience that can get a person really thinking of their next adventure!!.
I had a coyote join us at our campfire in the Rockies. It just sat there for a while choosing our company. It was an extraordinary experience. However, it was not in a pack and was sitting calmly so we felt comfortable just enjoying the gift of the shared moment of peace with our unexpected visitor.
I love your videos It is almost like I’m at all of the places you visit the way you explain things and the history of all the places you are a great host
enjoyed all the videos of your trip around the Baja area. The dry, desert climate has never been my favorite region but is sure was fun to see it from your viewpoint. Thanks for the adventure.
I always say we are not lost .... we are on an adventure .. you have had an adventure, and yeah note to self avoid 58:13 spring break in MX.. I lived in Ft Lauderdale .... welcome back ...
When traveling in the states, every Discount Tire store has free air fill stations, that can accommodate most RVs and they do it for you. They're the only place I buy my tires. On the east coast, mostly NY, their stores are called Dunn Tires...same company. FYI...The bucket under the hose was to allow the fuel to flow better...not a leak.
I absolutely LOVED this RV trip to Mexico. You do a fabulous job capturing your adventure and editing it for our enjoyment. I can’t wait for your summer adventures
Hi Carolyn! I totally enjoyed watching your trip to and from Mexico. Such beautiful and interesting places to see! The people were so laid back and kind. You and Sadie truly are living the dream.
I had not been to Mexico since 1984 and I have been twice now this year. Both west and east side. All very good experiences with Mexican folks. The service and food was great. Granted I was in touristy areas none the less.
Hey Carolyn! I hated dealing with valve stem extensions. They always ultimately failed. I found a shop in Quartzsite that custom made valve stems for my duallies. It’s been great and easy for me to top up with my Ryobi 1 compressor. Just an FYI.
This trip was just awesome! I know Baja from S.D. border up to San Quentin. My parents were retired in a little town from about 1995-2017 so I became familiar with the area. They weren’t far from San Quentin. I like the “The Old Mill” hotel/restaurant. The whole town knew my dad, he was a social guy and well liked. He gave monies for local causes. I have great memories of that Baja region of San Quentin.
I just ran across your channel yesterday, and watched all your videos from start to finish on your trip to Baja. Thank you for taking me with you via video and especially getting me back safe, lol. I have never been outside of the USA, but who knows, maybe I will some day. Thanks again.
I just loved everything about this trip to Mexico. I am definitely going to learn how to go into Baja from you next week. Thank you for always sharing the good and not so good about your adventures.
Finally watched the whole video. The washed out beach camp, I considered a "diamond in the ruff." Everything has changed now that the highway is in. Great spot.
Carolyn, in the Sonoran Desert, and Mojave Desert there are forests of Ocotillos, Chain Fruit Cholla, Saguaro Cactus, Joshua Trees, and more. You have to know exactly where they are, and I do because I have photographed many of them. It is wonderful to walk in the forests when you find them, and fortunately almost no one knows where they exist. As far a those special plants in Northern Baja, they were simply amazing up close in small and large patches back in June 1976. I have propagated hundreds and hundreds of cactus, succulents, and trees, so it is possible. But you have to nurture them like they are family, but damn its more than worth the effort.
Why not get you a viair air that you hook to your battery in case you wake up with a low or flat tire ? Look em up ! They have the ones with the fittings for the double tires ! Just to have one on hand I love mine !
We went through a crazy check point years ago before Mexicali from Rocky Pointe, plus we hit a horrible pot hole and crossed our fingers all the way to the border, then replaced the tire in the states. I was a nervous wreck because there was nowhere to pull over to get help. Another great video on your last day 🎉 ❤
Another cross country trip, woo hoo!! I really look forward to your spring/summer travels. Hope you left enough energy in the tank to share our small towns on the highways & byways. Cheers! ~M
Hello from Oregon, my goodness look at you. Well everything is blooming so the itching eye's, cough going on. Today was getting salads made like five Bean, loaded potato, sweet Hawaiian, cabbage carrot cucumber mixed with a wonderful sauce. It's get foods ready so we start spring cleaning and garden inn. Your not missing much sweety except another food processing plant closed down Quacker Oats. Sad for everyone it's one after another. But we have you taking us around and I really thank you. Hug's to everyone
I had to laugh when you were looking at the collected shells that people leave for others to enjoy. I love rocks & stones, so it's a good thing that I don't live in an RV because it would be so loaded down with rocks that the back bumper would be dragging down the highway!😂 PS- Sadie is adorable!
Hi Carolyn, I really enjoyed your videos on your trip to Baja. I can't believe it's been 2 months since you went there. But I have a question that you can either answer here or on your live. Did you feel safe there? Especially compared to the U.S. I know you've mentioned that the locals were very friendly and you felt more free there so did you feel safe as well? Thank you.
You are never more than 30 feet away from a coyote, they are in cities, towns, farmland, and wilderness they are masters of blending into the surroundings, and you only see them if they want you to. An when you do 90% of the time, they are harmless.

The young Man at the grocery store said "Hasta luego, buen día.". He was being polite.
That makes much more sense. Thank you!!!
We will soon have a new prez in the oval office. Things will change for the better.

Agreed.

The bucket was to hold the hose up so it flows better. If its laying on the pavement, it doesn't drain that great.

Thank you for your hard work in making this video. Beautiful scenery! I get to travel via your channel to places I couldn't see otherwise.
Not spring break. You were in the technical inspection for the San Felipe 250 off road race.
Caroline, those jumping fish are also found now in Wisconsin lakes! They are an invasive species, I think from Asia. Great video. Thank you
