Good content on the laptop, but please always open the bottom panel so viewers can look inside the laptop for upgradability. Wishing Lenovo would add a 70+ wh battery as a standard option.
Picked it up from Costco for $650 on sale. Works good for me so far.
picked mine up from costco today, how are you liking it still?
I glad i saw your review, i decided to get this (yet to pull the trigger) but totally didnt realise it's only microsd reader whereby i really need a normal sd card reader. Thank you.
Glad I could help!
Thank you for the review!
My pleasure!
Super informative, very to-the-point. Thank you for covering this laptop!
Glad it was helpful!
Hi! what do you think about the ideapad slim 5i ? (It carries on an i5 13th gen)
Hey man, can you please tell me the measurements of the notebook? I can’t find them anywhere
Hello!
Comparing Ideapad Slim 5-14 (Ryzen 5 7530U) to HP Pavillion 14 (ryzen 5625U), which would you advise? better quality and less noisy?
Have you used Slim 5 long time, had any problems with overheating?
the lenovo ideapad 5i has a RAM slot to expand?
why Thunderbolt is significant?
Thank you for the review! Very well done video. Helping me currently make a decision between this, dell inspiron 14, asus vivobook S, and HP pavilion pro
Glad I could help!
What did u choose and is it good
@@garouftw5022 in the end I saved up a little more and went for the dell Inspiron 14 plus.
@@SilverSand17how is the Inspiron 14 plus? I want to buy it but I’m hearing that it has a constant loud fan
@@infultrxy7078 I honestly couldn't say I've noticed it once. I typically use my laptop for streaming, playing indie games on steam, and Office tasks.
Hi, any past or current experience regarding broken hinge on lenovo laptops?
Right now I have a broken hinge on my two year old MSI. No fun.
Picked this one up on sale. Hope I made the right choice.
Hi. For use with photoshop, lightroom and some game (god of war,...), between these two laptop, which is the best for performance:
1) LENOVO Ideapad Pro 5i Intel i5 13500h, lppdr 16gb 5200hz, rtx 3050 6gb
or
2) LENOVO Ideapad Pro 5 AMD Ryzen 5 7640hs, lppdrx 16gb 6400hz, rtx 3050 6gb
?
Hey if its still a question, the ryzen one is better, since it has better multi core performance (and worse single core) and thats what you need for the stuff you mentioned
@SoulOfTech is the complete chasis is made of metal or just the top of the laptop?
I cover this detail in the review.
hello buddy which one do u think its best the i7 13th gen or the ryzen 7 version? thanks both with 16 gb
i7 is a little bit better than the ryzen 7, minimal difference
Good review
Glad you think so!
What is the best keyboards you have ever enountered on a laptop...personally I would say microsoft and dell inspiron are the best...and never tried macbook keyboard
Dell Latitude 5420!!! I love travel distance on keyboards!!
Costco $649 online has 512 ssd
Black Friday deal at Costco for 599. Would you recommend that that price ?
Found it in 512 ssd for 499
@@saisuhaskaviti1570where do you see it ?
Nice looking laptop and good specs for mid-tier CPU use (heavy excel, heavy word, Python, and SQL). This sub-brand of Lenovo does have durability issues historically, so the only issue is how long can it last. It competes with Lenovo ThinkPad T16, Dell Latitude 7640, and HP Elitebook 860. The T16 gen 1 is loved at my company!
Edit: Mediocre color accuracy.
No single Lenovo can compete with a Dell Latitude 7xxx. It is just chinese crap. In the IBM era things were different
@@frutt5k I strongly disagree. ThinkPad T16 gen 1 was better than the Latitude 7530. Better base model resolution, more durable, better GPU, adjustable RAM, and far better sound system. Also, great for running Linux OS.
I like Dell Latitude laptops, but they are not always the best. Some have heat management issues with moderate use. I like the Latitude 7440 a lot.
@@akin242002 The Dell will last 20 years. First 2 years with Windows, and the remaining 18 to 28 yeats with linux at blazing speeds, never encountered running Windows.
The Lenovo is crap from day 1.
@@frutt5k Since we are talking about tech hardware, what makes it crap? Technical measurements like performance, durability based on customer calls for issues, heat issues, slow CPU, GPU, sound system, ...etc.
Looking at reviews for this laptop is so confusing…
Some people say there’s a thunderbolt slot and say there isn’t, some say the screen is sRGB 100% while others say it is weak, it’s just so confusing lol
at least the screen confusion is simple to clarify - there are different options.1600p IPS screen has sRGB 100% 350nit, 1200p - 45% 300nit, this it quite common complication with most series and vendors. let alone the fact there's OLED version of slim 5 as well.
Hey there... is this an aluminium-made-material laptop?
Hey, details in the design chapter :)
Almost all of the complaints you have about this PC are addressed on the IdeaPAd Pro 5i. HDMI is 2.1, SD card slot. Screen is upgraded to 1600p resolution. And the CPU is an H-series chip. Right now you can get the Pro version for $909 with some discounts.
Should I get the Ideapad pro 5i or the slim pro 7? Which one would be more reliable in the years to come?
@@aleksandarradevic6140 I just got the Ideapad Pro 5i. Had it a day+ now.
What I would say ... at the current price of $799, just add on the 2 year Lenovo extra care plus or whatever they call it. I added that on for $86 for two years. That includes damage protection coverage as well in case I drop the laptop and break something. It does not cover theft though...
You are way to harsh considering the price
100th like!
🎉
It's just a Lenovo so don't expect to review a Dell XPS or a Latitude 7xxx
just a lenovo? lenovo have great laptops too
Good review as always. Honestly, this is a little bit of a hard sell for me over the new 15 inch MacBook Air.
