Just as balanced as my Leopard 1 fighting T-72s or my T-54 1949 fighting XM1s. LSF, Rangefinder and Thermals at 7.7? Dude that thing has more tech than all of 7.7 - 8.0 USSR and Germany combined.
Truly peak Gaijin.
By far it's the most op vehicle I have ever had the displeasure to fight against

VIDAR is the first vehicle which got me a nuke. I had 11 kills and 1 assist and fought at a pretty close range. My team was losing and with most team members dead, I still had 0 deaths. I decided to jump out and nuke the whole thing.
I pre-ordered the Vidar, and I have to say it's some of the most fun I've had in a good while, it plays a but different then other vehicles, but thats kind of its charm, I'd say it's a solid 9-10 If not a 10-10
Common, we all know that the 7.7 BR is a sales hook. Gaijin has done this in the past and then raise the BR. I will be surprised if they don't do the same here

I agree, t114 was 6.7 but is now 7.7. It was a hype back then and now gaijin moved it up. Definitely a sales hook
They nerfed the hp , it was 1490 on the release , buffed the reload tho
But still 6seconds with ace crew😮

It's OP now, Moving it up and it will meet a lot of ERA which might make it ass.
God knows USSR ERA is magic. ive hit a single tank with 8 tow-2 and i broke its machinegun.
Not even that chap i can hit a ob120 directly with the Sturmtiger 2 times an only track it or destroy its barrel
in higher br like 8.3 it will be even better cause there are many light tanks there xd
7.7 better cause heavy tanks are harder to kill by HE ammo
It has enough HE to airburst IS series tanks, 7.7 is NOT a good spot for it.

Lol if u think that might i ask you to rethink for 1 sec. This is more 9.3 then if 8.3 makes it to powerful u dont see a Maus or T34 American at 5.0
I feel like, a lot of the times at long range, I'll fire and just get a hit, and the hit replay shows it just kinda... hit nothing, and detonated early, despite there being nothing between me and my target.
That, and if the vehicle is tilted to either side even a little it completely makes the shell go off to the side.
The problem with a sniping vehicle in WT is that EVERYTHING can snipe because maps often aren't that big. Even the big maps aren't THAT big. And if anything at all hits you, you will lose half your crew and half your mechanics.
I love fighting full teams of this thing.

I got killed by one and now I don’t want to play 6.7 anymore because the t-44 is no match for it at range if you can’t see it
ASU-85 with rangefinder removes them quick

It's VERY fun playing long-range maps against this thing :))) bushed up, 3km away, and it can see YOU because it has good thermals.

It's fair for it to be in 7.7 but personally, I take it to 11.7 and I enjoy killing the t80 but mostly the abrams tanks

Best part about being able to look back at this is that every single M109 that was added is even more busted and broken.
I don’t mind this tank & tanks like this including the t95 tortoise ect, but I do find they have a good influence on the match, but I find it also team dependent…. Ie u need to have at least a half smart team for it to be some what effective.. if u have a bot team. Then u are just an easy target…. Perhaps I’m too aggressive in these and lights. As well Especially when it comes to bot teams.

This thing NEEDS to be 9.0 MINIMUM. I'm so tired of fighting it.
It's also obnoxiously resilient to APDS -- which either wont pen because the armor is trolly as hell, or somehow fails to go all the way through the tank's hull like APDS is SUPPOSED to. Like even in the vid, there were 2 instances of the new-er BTR just not being able to pen the VIDAR even w/ it's 80-ishmm pen APDS rounds at point blank.
This is always my experience, APFSDS also struggles to destroy ammo, triggering a blowout.

It has gen 2 thermals but in every other aspect i agree. They could just move the maus to 6.0

This vehicle makes me wonder why nations need Tanks, IFV's or AA vehicles at all. So they made a OP vehicle to make$, we just have to wait for it to be nerfed or be sure to hunt them first.
Ive been playing it in 8.7 lineup, the gun handling is bad but its otherwise responsive to drive

This is now 8.0br.. I think as it seems Gaijin does.. They will sell the hell out of it and once sales flatten out they will increase it to 8.7br or even 9. Just like they did with the Brit Fox.. Lotsa ppl sent a lot of GE to get to it's level to get it, then once that flattened out and Gaijin made it's money, they jacked it up to 7.7br.. Funny how before Gaijin had the Fox lower, it wal always out there every battle.. Now not so much.. same will happen with the Vidar.. (IMHO) anyway.. Maybe on the new big update that is coming this summer.
the weaknesses outdo the strengths.
this is a one-trick pony...an excellent sniper.but thats all it is.
you will be hating your life when you get close quarters maps and increasing the BR just means no one will want to play this as there are better alternatives on higher BRs.
I keep getting into games against the vidar with my 6.7 - 7.7 tank squad, its really not fun
ive seen the vidar in a 9.0 game, its not hard to kill if you know how to counter it. But what i hate the most is its survivability, hopefull gaijin will up br it to at least 8.0
Im not sure about buying this or the to 55 or something else on console

This represents Gaijin very well, they decompres late ww2 br from early cold war, then they add this shit with laser rangefinder and thermals at 7.7

I would tend to disagree with the VIDAR is unsurvivable in most of my game my VIDAR would get shot 7-10 times and still survive in one of my games I got hit from what feels like the entire enemy team and lived till the end of the round

Hi Guys, I'm from the future. i came here to tell you that the uprank to 8.0 has happened like predicted.
Just had a match of Maginot line, where the enemy team had two of these tanks, and they sniped every single one of us. They won within 10 mins because we couldn't move an inch.
This thing is disgusting. So many are playing now due to the sale and it is ruining 8-8.7--Literally all the VIDAR players do is sit at the back of the maps and use their thermals and LRF to rack up the kills while I have no way of fighting back. Such a greedy premium.
Idk kinda sounds like a skill issue to me
@@cow5183Yes nothing screams skill like sitting at the rear areas of the map which anyone with two brain cells could figure out, using gen 2 thermals and a LRF at BRs where half the tanks either don't have a range finder or has a coincidence range finder with a high velocity HE shell. /s
Vidar only weakness is definitely Russian tanks I faced a is-3 never did anything to the tank besides barrel damage and track damages

7.7 is fine, learn how to counter it.
I get uptiered 8/10 matches with this, facing t55 x3 variants, t69s, bmp2´s etc..like someone said, its a one trick pony aka a sniper, it sucks with small maps which most maps are ...sadly this fun tank will be nerfed bc ppl cry how "op" it is.
It literally is OP when it has tech that many nations won't have until 9.3 or 9.7, but at 8.0

I dont think they will uptier it tbh, the HE is ass against anything with spaced armor or heavy armor. the reload could be nerfed for sure but considering how huge it is and no armor it wouldnt do to hot at higher tiers especially once composite armor come into play. HE is a major dice roll, at range in a match yesterday it was struggling to kill M48s at all from the front. Unless you can land a shell on top it just doesnt kill.

If you know how to hit with HE (which is literally turret facts, cupolas, bottom of tanks etc) it can kill any tank regardless. Why do you think lots of HE slingers are used as GOD mode tanks to instantly kill MBTs.
