If you want to grind the US tech tree, yes. But bear in mind that this vehicle is at top tier where reaction times, map knowledge, and game knowledge as well as team cohesion are well-drilled into most players. And if any of you know something about top tier, you probably know about top tier CAS. Vehicles like these are why we discourage noobs from buying them. Truth be told, this kills US top tier teams.
I think this was only added to make up for the screwup that was the KVT. They said on the KVT they did not want to make it the real M1A1 variant as it would be too powerful. Then what, 6 months later we get the Click bait.

The M1A1 never had an APS system installed. It had a Warlock/Duke system installed, but that was for counter- IED missions in Iraq. What you see in the turret is the APU (axillary power unit). Also FYI, thats an M1A1 ICV, not an M1A1 HC....WT screws up vehicle identification once again. Clickbait and the tech tree M1A1 are both Marine Corp tanks if its equipped with the ICV. The Abrams IRL will never get spall liners but will get the slatted armor that is attached to the side of the tanks making it a TUSK armor system. If anyone doesnt know what ICV stands for (Independent Commander Viewer) thats what is located in front of the M240 machine gun on top of the tank. The cables around the ICV is called "Slave Cables" Use to jump another tank or your tank when the battery is low. now the M1A2 SEPv3's have additional armor plating all around the tank including underneath. And to answer your question about the side armor....there is not side armor (on at least the left side. the right side has the first 3 ballistic skirts that protect the hull ammo rack)

Already having the HC I foolishly hoped this would have any leg up over the TT HC, like Gen 2 thermals at 11.3.... Using this a few times just reinforced me thinking the AIM is the best 11.3 Abrams. The shot isn't as good (barely) but the Gen 2 thermals are huge imo. It looks nice so I don't HATE that I got it, but it wasn't worth $70 to have a motivator title.
I find it unfathomably funny that things like this, the other M1A1 upgrades and other tanks like the T-80UM or T72B3M sit at 11.3 and gaijin still implies the Ariete AMV is somehow better and the other Arietes are equals.
I have considered buying this as my american tree is only up to 6.7 but i have the AIM and wolfpack, so it would help me grind out the US ground tree. But $60 for a standard ass HC is too much as of now. I'll just keep playing Russian top tier for now.
Can you pls do a vid on how to aim the correct way. Like what does the lines in aiming mode represent and how to utilize them properly, that sorta thing. I'm just a begginer wanting to know more about the game. I'm having a hard time slinging HE shells and sometimes high velocity shells
Those marks you see on the sights are hash marks representing shell drop at different distances. They change depending on the velocity of the round currently loaded in your tank. Higher velocity shells have the marks closer together while lower velocity shells have them farther apart. Basically, you aim higher or lower depending on the range of your target and the round you're using. If a target is 400 meters away, you align the mark with "4" on the sight with your target and fire a shot to hit said target. It all comes with experience as different guns fire different rounds at different velocities. We recommend binding one of your keys to your rangefinder and listening to the range callout by your crew to more accurately determine range. At high-top tier with laser rangefinders, it gets way easier as it's basically point and shoot like in reserve tier.
@@icy3-1 in addition to this, i recommend to not always use your rangefinder in top tier as the apfsds shells are very easy to predict bullet drop so it would only cause more of a hassle to rangefind for each tank you see
@@jeffersonxyruz5016 All you really need for rangefinding are keybinds to rangefind, reset the rangefinder, and sight distance control. You'll find them all in the Controls section for ground vehicles.
Keep in mind the vehicle has a massive weakpoint in the front but its a good all rounder. If you do get it hide the hull and as much of the turret as possible behind a hill and you will do fine. I do not reccomend it if you dont have any experience in MBTs.@@TazGaming141

can you go over the fact the ground you do twice as much work if not more then enough work to play ground then it does for air rp wise you can get a 12 kill game and get 5-7k rp but in air you get a massive 20k rp gain just by killing only 2 aircraft and the fact that teams need to be more balanced out because me personally im doing more work for the team then the team does to even play let alone the enemy team can get a massive advantage over the map because the team is just completely useless hope you see this and go over it because teams and rp grind is killing ground rb

I'm new, trying to complete my first tree. I try to get a premium at or near my BR to help me grind RP and within my BR so I don't become "that guy" buying his way to top tier. Right now I'm just finishing the Rank IV section and have the M46 and the T29. The challenge I have now is I can't see a reasonable Premium MBT in the US tree past Rank V until Rank VII. I see the T54's in Rank V but beyond that there seems to be only the XM1 which has the same gun as the T54s and worse armor than my M46 & T29. I'm still learning maps and In RB I'm either overcautious/TOO stealthy or not cautious enough. What would you recommend as a good Premium MBT to grind out the US tree past Rank V? I test drove Click bait and the Merkava 3D. I like them both but the Merkava is just too expensive and the click bait is well beyond my BR 7.0 right now.

I’m avoiding top tier ground for the US cause the teams right now absolutely suck. I have yet to win a game with the US on my team and have won every game against the US while playing 11.7 Germany to grind for the 2a7v.
They're probably torn between the desire to milk Russian mains for Top-Tier premium money, and the desire to grossly inflate Russian win rates at top tier. If they add one, they'll make bank, but a bunch of noobs will buy into 11.3 and may cause Russian w/r's to drop below 70%

Please do not try to buy premiums ahead of your regular lineup. Both are decent at their tier if you know what you are doing. But if you don’t have a full lineup to go with that premium, then you are not doing anyone any favors. Your team, and especially yourself. It’s been proven that trying to “speedrun” with a higher tier premium is much less efficient overall.
The Abrams series as a whole suck. The only good thing about them is usually the ammunition (excluding the M1 at 10.3 it has trash ammo) do not buy an Abrams. It's not what you think it is and anyone who tells you otherwise is bullshitting you and themselves. It has the 2nd worst weakspots in the game, only beaten by the Ariete, you have to play it like a light tank that has average speed, horrible armor, and the only redeeming factor is a good gun (don't rely on it against Russian or Chinese tanks). It is objectively one of the worst MBTs in the game at top tier, almost every other tank around it is better or has SOME redeeming quality to make it better than an Abrams.
KVT is currently based on an M1, with the choice of trading side armor for cosmetics that act as spaced armor and reduce weight for even better power-weight. Does not stand against APFSDS except in a full downtier, and even that is iffy. (KVT irl is an M1A1, armor still not much to write home about, but glorious gun) M1A1 HC's DU turret inserts are reliable against all APFSDS, but remember very wide gaps between them
I bought it got shot on for about 15 matches figured out how to play it and do good kills wise from 2-10 kills a match but I still loose cause America suffers of brain dead players and having to face Germany n Russian at the same time

wait until the christmas sale to buy anything, but whatever you buy really depends on what tree you wanna grind. the clickbait is good for grinding the us, the chally 2 oes is good for grinding the british tree. both are good in their own ways with both having certain downsides, you just decide how you want to play and what tree you want to grind to find out what tank you should buy
TLDR As an owner of it, itsexactly like every other Abrams in the tree. Its sub-par mediocre and the only thing good about it is the ammunition. Full summary: If you like playing like a pussy and using and having to use an MBT like a light tank with 0 of the benefits, the M1Gay1 Shitbrams "Dick-Bait" is perfect. It specializes in nothing and will let you down in any and all engagements in which the enemy knows you exist. If you want a tank that actually feels good to use and specializes in one of the most common fighting scenarios in the game for an MBT (Hull down), buy the Challenger 2 OES. The only thing bad about it is the speed. Which just encourages a better playstyle and caution anyway. Being able to take a hit and not immediately be 1-shot or completely crippled when vaguely looked at makes a big difference.
The challenger 2 OES has all of the problems you said the abrams has but it has even more shitty armor and an even more shit gun. The M1 KVT is one of the best premium tanks to buy because its a very good tank for 10.3, and the m1a1 is decent at 11.3. The challenger 2 TES was already notorious for being shit. The challenger 2 is only slightly better at going hull down but it doesnt nearly outweigh all of the downsides. Also a tank being slow isnt an upside regardless of how you could possibly paint it as making you “more careful” because that same slow speed can result in death quite a lot, especially with how bad the acceleration is. I very rarely dont 1 or 2 shot challengers because its one of the worst top tier MBTs in game.
@@zee_terminator2850 takes just 3 minutes to even look at the Challenger 2. The breach weakspot is roughly just as big as the M1A1. It has a spall liner throughout the turret, it only has ammunition on the right to set off through the mantle. The Abrams is missing spall liners apparently and the ammo rack is across the whole rear of the turret. Quite a few shots will be absorbed by your breech. Again as I said, at least the Challenger specializes in something, the Abrams doesn't. the Abrams is a shitty light tank that can be heard from across the map with a horrible armor profile. It only has 30mm~ difference in pen which isn't a big deal. Typically over 500mm is all you need at that BR. The hull on the Challenger 2 is hot garbage but that's everything that isn't Russian or Chinese. It's slow but that's not hard to deal with on the maps you want to be on. You're also pretty full of shit saying the M1 Abrams, the absolute worst starter MBT in the game; is excellent. You have no armor but you have armor so you take no advantage of no armor best armor, you're a 10.3 tank with 9.7 ammunition, because that's "balance", and as usual with Abrams you have the 2nd worst weak spots in the whole game only beaten by Arietes with how massive they are. You get looked at you lose half if not all of your crew. 5s reload is only after paying a ton of eagles or earning it for free and even then it doesn't matter, it's not an auto loader and an Abrams is almost always going to be missing crew; if not you sure as fuck aren't going to tank the shot you're gonna take when you peak. If the M1 had M833 at 10.3 I would be inclined to agree with it being on-par with everything around it. As of right now all it is, is an XM-1 with an actually semi-tolerable round that isn't missing smoke launchers. If you like playing a shitty light tank with none of the benefits besides penetration (-the M1) play the Abrams. If you want to have something that is at least pretty decent at something and has a specialty, buy the Challenger. Better yet don't buy any though. None of them are actually good options but it's like comparing a manure pile from cows to a manure pile from horses.

Not really worth it, everyone has spall liners - you dont, meaning if you dont oneshot someone (90% probability) - you get oneshotted (80% probability)

I've already experienced top tier with the Australian Abrams, so it shouldn't be a big difference aside the trash thermal sights

I'm new, trying to complete my first tree. I try to get a premium at or near my BR to help me grind RP and within my BR so I don't become "that guy" buying his way to top tier. Right now I'm just finishing the Rank IV section and have the M46 and the T29. The challenge I have now is I can't see a reasonable Premium MBT in the US tree past Rank V until Rank VII. I see the T54's in Rank V but beyond that there seems to be only the XM1 which has the same gun as the T54s and worse armor than my M46 & T29. I'm still learning maps and In RB I'm either overcautious/TOO stealthy or not cautious enough. What would you recommend as a good Premium MBT to grind out the US tree past Rank V? I test drove Click bait and the Merkava 3D. I like them both but the Merkava is just too expensive and the click bait is well beyond my BR 7.0 right now.

They're probably torn between the desire to milk Russian mains for Top-Tier premium money, and the desire to grossly inflate Russian win rates at top tier. If they add one, they'll make bank, but a bunch of noobs will buy into 11.3 and may cause Russian w/r's to drop below 70%

Please do not try to buy premiums ahead of your regular lineup. Both are decent at their tier if you know what you are doing. But if you don’t have a full lineup to go with that premium, then you are not doing anyone any favors. Your team, and especially yourself. It’s been proven that trying to “speedrun” with a higher tier premium is much less efficient overall.
The Abrams series as a whole suck. The only good thing about them is usually the ammunition (excluding the M1 at 10.3 it has trash ammo) do not buy an Abrams. It's not what you think it is and anyone who tells you otherwise is bullshitting you and themselves. It has the 2nd worst weakspots in the game, only beaten by the Ariete, you have to play it like a light tank that has average speed, horrible armor, and the only redeeming factor is a good gun (don't rely on it against Russian or Chinese tanks). It is objectively one of the worst MBTs in the game at top tier, almost every other tank around it is better or has SOME redeeming quality to make it better than an Abrams.
KVT is currently based on an M1, with the choice of trading side armor for cosmetics that act as spaced armor and reduce weight for even better power-weight. Does not stand against APFSDS except in a full downtier, and even that is iffy. (KVT irl is an M1A1, armor still not much to write home about, but glorious gun)
M1A1 HC's DU turret inserts are reliable against all APFSDS, but remember very wide gaps between them
I bought it got shot on for about 15 matches figured out how to play it and do good kills wise from 2-10 kills a match but I still loose cause America suffers of brain dead players and having to face Germany n Russian at the same time

TLDR
As an owner of it, itsexactly like every other Abrams in the tree. Its sub-par mediocre and the only thing good about it is the ammunition.
Full summary:
If you like playing like a pussy and using and having to use an MBT like a light tank with 0 of the benefits, the M1Gay1 Shitbrams "Dick-Bait" is perfect. It specializes in nothing and will let you down in any and all engagements in which the enemy knows you exist.
If you want a tank that actually feels good to use and specializes in one of the most common fighting scenarios in the game for an MBT (Hull down), buy the Challenger 2 OES. The only thing bad about it is the speed. Which just encourages a better playstyle and caution anyway. Being able to take a hit and not immediately be 1-shot or completely crippled when vaguely looked at makes a big difference.

The challenger 2 OES has all of the problems you said the abrams has but it has even more shitty armor and an even more shit gun. The M1 KVT is one of the best premium tanks to buy because its a very good tank for 10.3, and the m1a1 is decent at 11.3. The challenger 2 TES was already notorious for being shit. The challenger 2 is only slightly better at going hull down but it doesnt nearly outweigh all of the downsides. Also a tank being slow isnt an upside regardless of how you could possibly paint it as making you “more careful” because that same slow speed can result in death quite a lot, especially with how bad the acceleration is. I very rarely dont 1 or 2 shot challengers because its one of the worst top tier MBTs in game.

The breach weakspot is roughly just as big as the M1A1. It has a spall liner throughout the turret, it only has ammunition on the right to set off through the mantle. The Abrams is missing spall liners apparently and the ammo rack is across the whole rear of the turret. Quite a few shots will be absorbed by your breech.
Again as I said, at least the Challenger specializes in something, the Abrams doesn't. the Abrams is a shitty light tank that can be heard from across the map with a horrible armor profile. It only has 30mm~ difference in pen which isn't a big deal. Typically over 500mm is all you need at that BR.
The hull on the Challenger 2 is hot garbage but that's everything that isn't Russian or Chinese. It's slow but that's not hard to deal with on the maps you want to be on.
You're also pretty full of shit saying the M1 Abrams, the absolute worst starter MBT in the game; is excellent. You have no armor but you have armor so you take no advantage of no armor best armor, you're a 10.3 tank with 9.7 ammunition, because that's "balance", and as usual with Abrams you have the 2nd worst weak spots in the whole game only beaten by Arietes with how massive they are. You get looked at you lose half if not all of your crew. 5s reload is only after paying a ton of eagles or earning it for free and even then it doesn't matter, it's not an auto loader and an Abrams is almost always going to be missing crew; if not you sure as fuck aren't going to tank the shot you're gonna take when you peak.
If the M1 had M833 at 10.3 I would be inclined to agree with it being on-par with everything around it. As of right now all it is, is an XM-1 with an actually semi-tolerable round that isn't missing smoke launchers.
If you like playing a shitty light tank with none of the benefits besides penetration (-the M1) play the Abrams. If you want to have something that is at least pretty decent at something and has a specialty, buy the Challenger. Better yet don't buy any though. None of them are actually good options but it's like comparing a manure pile from cows to a manure pile from horses.
As a Russian Main we are happy to see that you are even thinking about buying this vehicle come to toptier its fun :)
