  • Have you ever needed to haul some animals but for whatever reason did not have the correct live stock trailer? Using a 5x8ft land scape trailer as a base, we show you how to convert it so you can haul several types of animals. We are using it for pigs mostly, however if you wanted to haul goats or sheep you could easily add a panel to the sides and make a roof so they don't leap out.
    NOTE! If you don't have a cut off wheel, you can use a hacksaw, bolt cutters, or a sawzall to cut the cattle/hog panels.

    If you end up getting one of these cool little saws, leave us a comment and let us know how you like it!

    Cooler full of ice and your preferred beverage, with room for a chain saw... Got it!

    Oh my, the 60's music track is awesome. Great trailer! Over using, overheating.....maybe you should take advantage of that 50% off? 😉

      I'd add one more panel for the roof so they don't jump out. Goats are nimble things haha.

    That trailer is great for pigs, but if someone was to try to haul other types of livestock, it needs either a top or MUCH higher sides. Preferably a top! Goats, and very likely sheep, would go right out of those low sides. It's a great trailer, though, just be aware of what you are hauling.

    • @SamWereb
      @SamWereb Місяць тому +3

      And if it was for hauling fish, then it would have to be water tight. But it isn't. He said it's for hauling pigs around his own land.

      @kathleensanderson3082 Місяць тому +1

      @@SamWereb Yes, I realize that, but he is also demonstrating how to build an inexpensive trailer for hauling livestock. Not everyone who needs an inexpensive trailer is hauling pigs. My comment was aimed at the people who have other types of livestock. As I said, for pigs, that's a great setup. But IF someone has (for instance) sheep or goats, they will need to do it a little differently.

      So I'm glad you mentioned that, in my original filming I talked about it. However, the audio messed up badly. So in the description of the video I made a special note about that.

      @@FlannelFarms I have goats, so that was my first thought when I saw what you were doing! Someone bought a calf from me last year who had done something similar to the same kind and size of trailer, but they'd used heavier panels that were taller, and put a top on them. The calf was six months old and almost too heavy for the metal floor mesh -- if someone was going to haul anything very heavy, it would be a good idea to lay some boards down on the floor.

      Yep, the weight rating is the limitation. Those wheel bearings can only take so much.

    I have a 4" and 6" batteries are not interchangeable, not sure about yours. Have had mine for about 4-5 years now, usually will last several hrs just trimming up. You are right the 4 is better than the 6
