Thank you to Chief Yeoman Warder Rob Fuller for taking part! You can find out more about Yeoman Warders at the Tower of London at the below link. www.hrp.org.uk/tower-of-london/history-and-stories/yeoman-warders-at-the-tower-of-london
Bob is a good friend of mine and an old shipmate from our time in the Royal Navy together. He has always been very cheeky with a good sense of humour. BZ Bob.
Brilliant. So refreshing to educate the world that The Yeoman Warders aren’t just a tourist attraction but the cream of the retired British forces. Historical protectors of our Monarch. Thank you guys (and girls!) ❤
So, basically, Yeoman Warders are the friendly guards, the ones tourists can speak with. ;) Good to know. That has been a very nice video. I never knew the Yeoman Warders and their families lived in the tower. That's amazing. It must be quite an experience for them, as well.
The intriguing insights from "Beefeater Reveals Secrets Of Living At The Tower Of London & Working For The Royals | Honesty Box" offer a fascinating glimpse into the unique lifestyle and responsibilities of the Yeoman Warders, or Beefeaters, who serve at the historic Tower of London. Their role not only involves guarding the Tower but also includes living within its ancient walls and engaging with the public as part of the UK's rich heritage tourism sector.
Ravens, crows, grackles and starlings -- but mostly ravens and crows -- are highly intelligent birds; they are creatures of habit and will remain in an area where they feel safe. And, just so they know, the ravens like the tower guards and recognize each one of them individually. Elsewise they would not stay there, clipped wings or not. I told you. They're intelligent. If you think they could not avoid you until their wings grew back (if they wished it), think again.
9:01 Sorry, but I just had to point out the AI art of the King's Guard. I mean come one, the knife is literally coming out of the barrel and that gun probably won't shoot neither
The bayonet for the L85 rifle has a hollow handle that fits around the barrel. It's a common misconception that L85/SA80 can't be fired with the bayonet fixed as as although it looks like it covers the muzzle orifice from face on, the blade is in fact offset - leaving a gap that means it is still possible to fire the rifle with the bayonet in place. Search for some images of it side on and it will become clear.
Gotta love it how a thing owned by the nation requires the nation to buy a ticket to view it, and the profits go to the monarch. Not dissimilar to tax-payer subventioned palaces and historical mansions across UK that the crown rents out and collects the profits.
That's a very odd view. Firstly. The tower is owned and run by a private company. The money earned from seeing the different properties and places means there is no tax payer burden. The cost to the taxpayer of the royals is minimal. The rest is covered by the charges. There is also the money earned around the whole country by tourism benefits us all as a country
I certainly would not trust the testimony from a man who was tortured as Sir James Tyrell was. It’s a dodgy thing to do to be honest since heinous medieval torture techniques would cause an innocent man to confess to the crime and a guilty man to admit to a crime so at best it’s a 50/50 chance of him being the murderer or master mind henchman for the crown.
want a cheese burger? no refrigeration... 3 days and it all has to be consumed. 1800 pounds, 400 that's good, 200 that crosses the line and 1200 to the dogs broth removed. as ate to 8 not too late 40 more to get 3 a day cups of tea ask more to moo just to graze. in the kitchen the 400 stays and only the 2 that cross the line get served to the other 40 tho be once a day for that three days thy speaks the same as the other over the sea to put the pun over that potato meal.
@joshua_itssme you don't have to be hurt by someone to believe that anyone who claims right to rule by nothing more than who they were born to, are deluded at best. They could only get away with robbing the public of its agency in the past by putting dissidents to death, and ruling through fear - the very definitions of tyranny and terrorism. The monarchy go one step further - they claim that their birthright of rule comes down from on high, which in the eyes of those blinded by faith, removes any route of criticism or opposition. So I'll ask something of you now how sheltered can you be to think its such a cope to be vehemently opposed to the last vestiges of theocratic monarchy retaining their grip on the levers of power?

I went to visit the tower to see one of the few remaining house sparrow colonies in London, and I did see them!

Just met my first beefeater ever in Fallout London. Didn't really know who or what they were until the amazing algorithm used it's magic.
Brilliant guy 😃
Brilliant video
What a lovely fella
they did a DNA test on the two skeletons, and it was inconclusive. The story is fascinating of the princes in the tower

His delivery is gold
I like beefeater gin
If given the opportunity would he go to the pub to get a beer and a sandwich

CORVUS CORAX THE PRIMARCH RETURNS
I think thats unfair having to serve full 20 odd years to do this , i think you should be able to do this if you have served 10 years and over
Service personnel who have served 20yrs + have given their life to the crown & continue to do this has a beefeater 🔵🔴🔵✊🏻💂🏻♂️✊🏻
Why 10 years?
