You'll see oil change kits for these KTM engines that have replacement o-rings. IMO (I've been doing 99% of the work on the 33 bikes I've owned over 50 years of riding) Changing the o-rings after a 600 mile/1000km break-in period is most probably unnecessary, but if it gives you peace of mind, go for it. They're obviously inexpensive and easy to replace. I have to agree here that going 9,000 miles before the next change gives me serious pause. I never run synthetic oil more than 5k in any of my vehicles just to be safe. At those intervals on this bike, I'm going to change the o-rings as well. Just as an abundance of caution, and my personal preference.
you should send that oil to blackstone analysis I'm curious how many metal shavings is in this new motor since its a ktm engine built in china (edit also is there a way to set the oil change interval?)
Excellent video, thanks. Props to the camera person also, they did a great job!

Why did you take the side cover off the right side...? Have you seen any signs of your rear red deflector melting?

Per resettare i km dei 1000 del rimo tagliando è uguale anche per il modello explore ?
What is the purpose of the second drain plug?
To annoy the consumer 👍🏻

Engine 1:1 with KTM 790 Duke😮
its a ktm LC8 engine
This alone makes me want the t7 yamaha vs this ktm crap... I like riding more than wrenching. Give us one good drain location and an external filter!
Worse than Gold Wing to work on) When I work on an oil change on my Gold Wing I DO NOT HAVE to remove any plastic B.S
Gold wing is friendly, for friendly people. 😁
@@MJTechChannel Gold wing is useless moto for Europe trips or from Europe to Asia.
Whatever, it takes you 2 minutes. No big deal 🤷♂️
How about getting to the air filter on the GW? Also, this is an ADV bike, not a touring only bike, they need protection.
Good wing also isn’t going down trails and doesn’t need a bash plate.
