Coffee in Bed, Be My Eyes, Love Again (an EDM vibe) are a few originals to get you started. If you ever get a chance to see them live, TAKE it! They are so good live!
Great reaction. I love Pentatonix I've seen them in concert . They are incredible. I recommend their original "Love Again". "Can't sleep love " or better yet do Popspring Performance 2016 you get 3 original songs . Can't wait.
I always agree with the Popspring 2016 Rec! It's the very best version of "Can't Sleep Love" and I love the song, "Water." The video includes "Evolution of Michael Jackson" which you just saw, plus three originals, in a live concert performance. I also love "Love Again," "Run to You," "Coffee in Bed" and "Be My Eyes." All their originals are so good! I wish there were videos for all of them so reactors could experience, "Never Gonna Cry Again," "Exit Signs," "Ref," and so many others!

Mitch pulled through on the high side as always, but I personally think if you want he hear him SANG, it's in Amazing Grace.
They all definitely have SKILL and then some!! Good to see you back with PTX! So many great originals: Love Again, Water, Side, Love Me When I Don’t, Thank You, Run to You, Ref, Can’t Sleep Love, Coffee in Bed, Happy Now, Sing, See Through, Be My Eyes, Never Gonna Cry Again, The Lucky Ones, New Year’s Day, Please Santa Please….and so on.

My favorite version of this medley is when they do it live on their Pop Spring 2016 performance.

At 9:30 when you start talking about other female voice types that would add to the group's sound: Kirsty (the woman) ranges from lower alto (Rather Be) up into the soprano range (Seasons of Love). Mitch (high voiced guy, counter-tenor range) actually covers most, if not all, of a soprano's range. PTX **has** two female voice ranges to work into their mix. In each song, they pick the voice that best portrays each moment, and frequently switch singers on the main melody of the song. A great example is their arrangement of Can You Feel the Love Tonight from the Lion King.

My favorite original PTX song is Love Me When I Don't. Although there's not a song I don't like from them. I think you're missing Evolution of Music, 90's Dance Medley and The Wizard of Aaahhs, those are all incredible mash ups.

some of my favorites are 'sing' from the early days, 'happy now', 'i rise', 'water'. there is a 15 minute video called popspring 2016 that is them in concert singing 3 orinigal songs and the michael jackson evolution. its worth it.
Agree with the Popspring 2016 performance. It's well-recorded (MTV) video with 4 songs from their performance at the Japanese Popspring festival. It includes this Michael Jackson evolution (performed live on stage) as well as 3 original songs: Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water. They actually did a whole hour long set there, but these are the 4 that are on YT from the MTV recording with professional-level video/audio.

The "Evolution of Beyonce" video was so much better... the transitions felt like they really put in time, like a DJ mixed it up... although they can really sing, this one seemed like it was thrown together really fast... it wasn't like a DJ mixed it... it was just like ...stop one song and start another"... rather than having it feel seamless...

I never get tired of this one... besides knowing all the songs, I love the bare bones production and one-take format. We can watch what each member is doing to support the full sound, and really appreciate their individual talents. So glad you got to this! Ready for more Pentatonix whenever you are. 💖

Originals: Coffee in Bed, Love Again, Happy, Be My Eyes, Sing, Water, Ref, Cracked, Misbehaven, Can't Sleep Love, Show You How To Love, Natural Disaster, Hey Mamma, Run To You, Standing By, Na Na Na, and more; and they have some original Christmas Songs. Too many hi-lighted covers that are great by PTX, to list. I'm here for all of them! My favorite songs from PTX is whatever is playing at the time. You can't miss, Kiss From A Rose, O Holy Night, Please, Santa Please, Carol of the Bells & Oh Come All Ye Faithful! Fantastic songs!

The two major singing types of females are soprano (high) and alto (low). Mezzo soprano (mezzo means "half") splits the difference between the two, which is what Kirstin is. But Mitch (far left with the high voice) is a countertenor, and basically has the same range as a female mezzo soprano, just in a male voice. And in more recent years, Kirstin's voice has matured and mellowed somewhat, enough that Scott sometimes introduces her as "our alto-soprano" - which is a completely made-up term, but does a good job of describing Kirstin's range these days.
