Hey guys, I keep seeing people use the APS2 L96 piston and guide with this gun, I own this rifle and am in the process of hand sanding the VSR-10 piston down to fit the diameter for a friend.
However, can ANYONE shine light as to why the sear will not engage the piston on mine? Everything is stock inside the gun aside from the piston, guide, and spring I am trying to use which is the L96 upgrades I see Everyone else using without an issue, only one comment I have found where another is having this weird engagement issue with the piston and 45 degree sear.
Sometimes, but rarely it will engage, but the trigger does nothiing, it can either have zero draw as if its not even charged, or the trigger simply will not move. Also, rarely the sear with engage the piston, fail to fire with the trigger pull, but if the cylinder/bolt is pulled back again, it will sometimes engage and then fire.
Can someone please.. Please give me some advice here I've had this rifle before with no issues so I cant seem to figure out WTF to do with this ehh.. "Hiccup"

Where can I buy another piston though, my piston broke so it won’t grab and keeps locking forward, so where could I buy this same kind of piston stock?

What about that surfaces, that trigger sear is catching? They are plastic on stock piston. It theoreticly could realese spring (fire the gun) uncontrollably. What is your experience on this?

Great video! My stock M62 (clone of this gun) shoots 455 FPS stock, but I'm thinking about upgrading. How's the longevity been?

I only use this gun as a loaner now but it is still going strong.

@@blueridgesniper1708 Another question, if you don't mind. I'm torn on buying the Action Army Hop Up Chamber. Not only is it nearly the price of the gun again, but it is allen wrench adjustment only, which is a bit of a downgrade IMO. It also seems to requiring some filing on the magazine, something I"m not keen on doing.
Right now my gun shoots .4gs to about 230ft before they start dropping quickly - I'd like to get a bit more range than that. Did you find the spring + sear upgrades sufficient, or do you think I need to purchase the hop up kit too? Thanks.

You mention using certain dimensions for the "can mod", but i think you may have edited it out. About what size should i cut the can to?
    Thanks for the vid!
