Having played act 3 yet, but having seen "all possible outcomes" of the Cazador "finale" with Astarion and now this video... I really like the one that Tav finishes him off alone kinda better, lmao. I know it's probably not fair to him as a character, because the part where he realizes going through with the ascension would change him for worse, and he instead stabs Cazador repeatedly, only to fall to his knees and start crying, really seemed cathartic in the moment. So you're essentially robbing him of his resolution to the 200 years of torture he had to endure. @Kasiarzynka but you're not. You're denying him closure and autonomy. You're treating him like a child who can't be trusted to make his own choices about his own life. It's selfish.

I couldn’t beat cazador with astarion there no matter how hard I tried, so I left him at camp, got cazador into his coffin, ran outside and brought astarion back to finish him off. It worked, even if the cutscene was a little bugged.
I had a similar problem so I put the party in sneak mode then had Astarion use sneak attack on Cazador causing everyone to be surprised and just went ham on him with Karlach. He died within two turns
I kept dying too, but you can use the help action to free Asterion once he's in the laser beam. That gives you your full party back. Basically, all you need is to take a speed potion, misty step to asterion, help him and then the ritual can't be completed/gets inturrupted. It makes it a much fairer fight.
