Dean 13: 31-32 The kingdom of jiujitsu is like a whitebelt, which a man took and tested on his mat. Though it is the lowest of all belts, yet when it grows, it is the highest of submission artists and becomes a black belt, so that the other students come and train in its school. from one bible to another!!
Awesome video, as always showing the perfection of what Jiujitsu is. The fact that Roy makes Jiujitsu look easy makes me want to practice all day long. I think that these videos will help me in my way to the Black Belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu! Keep the good content! Greetings from Mexico......
In comps yeah (Not sure if all) Most teachers will teach them to Whitebelts for self defence reasons and also because it's just wise to know them. They are advised not to worry about them so much rolling though (Again, School to school with vary)
@@vikingjoebloggs3887 Thanks for the perspective. In our club, the owner has a policy that drilling them is OK, but they cannot be used in rolling by white belts and blue belts may not use them on white belts. Same for heel hooks, toe holds and knee bars. The idea is more that white belts probably don't have the experience to deliver them with sufficient control to keep everyone safe. One of our top white belts lost 6 months of competing because someone came in from another gym and put a toe hold on him and didn't modulate properly, breaking his foot. Higher level white belts are under some circumstances allowed to use these techniques against purple and higher, but outside of special circumstances, these techniques will probably get ya smashed. I'm going to a 10th planet seminar in a couple of weekends. Slightly different rules there, but the owner there asks white belts to keep their power low when rolling. Probably for the best as I outweigh him by about 50kg of solid muscle. ;) I prefer BJJ as a gentle art between friends.
@@eschelar Much the same as my Club =) Its better to know it, understand it and never use it than just be told "Nah don't do that yet" We're all adults after all

All of your stuff is beyond awesome. And the production quality is the best I've ever seen. Really appreciate your instruction!
