This is a brilliant documentary - NOT because it's well-made, because it isn't... but I feel that it shows what performing at some hotel in Vegas in the early 70s was really like - kinda shabby, boring, stressful, unsatisfying, tiring... not much glamour, eh? We thought there'd be luxury and fun, but most of it seems to be dreary greenrooms and trying to get conversations going with people you know too well... My heart goes out to Nancy, Lee and Billy - that's not an easy life at all...
Billy's remarks about some Las Vegas entertainment critic "Not reviewing a show, but a family" seemed to get to the gist of this documentary. Nancy Sinatra trying to make a career on her own and to do so from under the shadow of her famous father was not an easy thing to do.
@@rayjr62 and God help poor Frank Junior - the LAST thing he should have done was try to build a career with that name. It isn't even his real name - the poor guy must have been very badly advised.
I recall the show did not receive good reviews. Nancy had done some shows in Vegas, such as the one that was intro'd by Ed Sullivan, I think it was called Movin" With Nancy on stage that did well. I wonder if her husband staged that show or if it was a mistake to allow him to take charge. Or was she just bored with it all?
It was terrible... A világ összes nyelvén szörnyű. Derékba tört számok, senkinek se tetsző poénok... Egy dokumentumfilmnek se jó valami... Le is töröltem.
Aboslutely incredible time capsule... I was sitting at home wondering if Lee and Nancy ever performed together and there is this thing, one of the only existing footage of the man, Lee Hazlewood , breathing and talking, WOw!
I wanted to check it out for a minute or two, ended up watching it entirely right away. Great documentary, the sloppiness makes it even better. It's brings light to how it seems to have been like for these performers and highlights one truly unique duo. Thanks for uploading it, could have easily been lost!
Where did you find this? It’s not on Torbjörn Axelman list in the Swedish movie database list. Lee and Torbjörn also made ”cowboy in Sweden” together. I think I got the album in somewhere in my vinyl collection. This isn’t really a Swedish documentary? American with a Swedish director?
Nancy Sinatra is like a fine wine better looking over time. But I'm quite surprised she aged so fast. I guess the 60s 70s could do that especially in Vegas and California
Ouch! Big time 'flop sweat'. You can smell it. Nancy makes the worst mistake a live performer can make, she seems apologetic. Apologetic for the bad show. Apologetic for her off-pitch, cracking voice. Apologetic for her ghost-like, exhausted stage presence. I hate to say it, but the perfunctory applause can only be respect-by-association for her father.

... same with Johnny Cash, ... now we know why artists take drugs, just to get through the tour etc.

@@vzd963 I wasn't even talking about Frank Jr.. I was talking about what certain critics were saying about Nancy's Las Vegas act.
What isn’t “well- made” about this?
Nancy is a gem. Lee was a genius. Billy knew how to tie it together. And Hugh was the love of Nancy's life, and a gentleman.
I respect these artists so much.
All so effortless and stylish, held together with great charm and a natural talent. She did it all by herself. Definitely not a daddy's girl.
Absolutely amazing. What a treat. Thank you very much for uploading.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Summer wine is my favourite.
It’s like people had more fun back than.
Cool Doc! I like Nancy and Lee! Also the last 20 seconds was funny with the audio and them nodding 😂

Time capsule?
Not sure of the purpose of this channel, but then again it looks like it fizzled out and left abandoned.

Wow! Thank you so much for this! I've been a Lee and Nancy fanatic for most of my life and I didn't know this existed.

She is such a cool lady.

25:19 Summer Wine サマー・ワイン
What a treat, thank you for posting jpspin 👍
I like Lee and Nancy, but this is cheesy. Must be Vegas…
... the US has no style or class, just dollar signs over ride their views on concept / the bigger picture.
Ever been here? I grew up here.
HEY! That's not Nancy Sinatra, that's CAROL BURNETT!! (and she sure is skinny... looks like the results of too much snortin' to me)
