Fictional story, but one that is rooted in reality. Between my GF and myself, we know several women who work as flight attendants across several airlines. I have heard many stories of crying females flying, some on redeye flights. As far as an after a divorce meeting my GF told me about one of her clients. He asked for and was granted a protective order against not only his ex-wife, he also had to get her parents as well. Then one day she was sitting in the doctor's office waiting to see the doctor. He came in and saw her. Then asked if he could wait in another area. Once seated he called my GF who was his Attorney and asked her what he should do. She told him to start recording. If she violates the order the police can be called. Yep, she violated it. The police as usual did not arrest her. So the man found a new doctor.
So, let me get this straight, she is now 40, and from the story they were trying to conceive their first child at around 38 or 39. Am I the only one that will see a problem with it?

When I was a kid we had a cat that roamed far and wide. I'm quite sure be probably fathered more than one litter of kittens across our neighborhood. Then he disappeared we looked for a week or two for it before we found the remains of his collar amongst some flattened fur on a busy roadway near our home. This story was well told there were a few very funny parts and even the ending with cat I had to laugh not at the death of it but how karma bit her in the ass, the only one that got the xmas miracle was her X he got the closure he needed by knowing he did nothing wrong .
The death of the cat was excessive and unnecessary to the story. Arguably it damaged an ending that was about people facing their pasts, being released, and initiating new beginnings.
I thought it was perfect, IDK, the Karma of the situation perhaps. It made me laugh out loud. Perhaps it is the way I see life. We are destined to experience what we chose to experience before being born. It is destiny, everything being just the way it is supposed to be. To me, death or life, it doesn't matter because it is the way it is supposed to be. You know, all those Near Death Accounts, where the person is sent back, because it is not "their time" to "die". Yes, there is a time to die. There is a time for everything.
The cat is fine - the sitter found out she was a filthy 304 and rehomed the cat, then lied to her about the supposed accident!
