- Schecter C6 Pro FR (Looks VERY Nice)
The Schecter C6 looks to be a very promising shred guitar. It's not too expensive, but it's not a budget friendly guitar either. It comes with a Floyd Rose, which is nice, plus coil splitting for the pickups.
Let's see if it's any good.

Schecter isn’t really my thing, but I’ve never failed to be impressed with them when I’ve picked them up and played them. I totally get why they are so highly regarded by many hobbyists and working pros. Great demo!
Yay it’s Monday another Elmo video!!! Thanks brother 😎✌️❤️
Cheers!
That whammy system is amazing. I wish mine would stay in tune. I keep fighting with it.
I tried one of these in a store, the non FR version, and it felt good to my hands. I also thought that it was incredibly versatile, for what looks like a straight ahead shred kind of thing.
Pretty much yeah :)
I bought the hardtail version of this for 380 bucks, and it had SD phat cats in it which I sold for 180. And I installed Tonerider rocksongs for 100. So all in all 300 bucks for this guitar was not too shabby. And it was near mint.
The neck is super thin, and it’s a 14” radius so it very shredable
As a very happy owner of a Omen Elite 6, I can say that Schecter rocks and looks!
Love those Axes, I’ve played many models… all were beautiful instruments!
I was like… “yeah, it’s a nice top that I probably wouldn’t get ordering online “… then I saw the train tracks. Man I love some REAL jumbo frets! And if I found a top this sweet… still don’t want the cheap Floyd.take it off and give me a hard tail with a decent bridge.
Definitely a shred machine. The cleans sounded horrible until you pulled the knob out, and then they sounded much better, imo.
I like your playing very much.
Thank you :)
I recently scored an amazing budget friendly guitar. The Harley Benton 25th Anniversary ST-25 Strat copy. For the tiny price of $245 I got the flame maple roasted neck, locking tuners, stainless steel frets, American Alder body, HSS configuration with coil splitting on bridge humbucker. The Firemist Gold satin finish paint is really killer as well. Now that I have had it for several weeks and played the heck out of it I can honestly say it is one of my favorite guitars I own at any price. I may have mentioned this in another of your videos. Great review as always Elmo.
Cheers!
Elmo, glad to see i am not the only one who makes weird looking faces when like you played at around the 8:00 and 8:50 time spots! LoL!
🤣
Beautiful top if you're looking for something a little different, great move giving it a matching veneer on the headstock. Cool flipped dot inlays as well, really attractive super strat.
Pretty nice yeah :)
It's not fair Sir Elmo, in the sense that you could make a used ebay nylon-stringed ukulele sound like a Custom Shop Rocket. Well designed and played demo (with some real fireworks in the soloing)! I am always interested in new (to me) stuff, even at the high end (which I would only have access via theft)!
Cheers!
Beautiful guitar, sounds great🤘 I like you Videos they are amazing! Greetings from Frankfurt germany.
Danke schön!
Schecter are a Marmite brand - you either love them or hate them. I have a Diamond Series acoustic which is amazing in all respects other than the neck is slightly to thick for my small hands , making it second choice to my equivalent Dean. Anyone with normal size playing hands would think it fine. Take the Floyd rose off and that looks great with amazing clarity from the pickups if slightly on the dark side for me.
I had to look up Marmite. I've never eaten it. It seems a bit like Vegemite. I've never had that either. I get it though. Schectors are like pickled fish. You either love it or hate it. Maybe, someday I'll get to try a Schecter. Nice playing.
Beautiful looking Guitar! ❤️
Indeed
almost gives that Harley Benton MAX Fusion vibes.
Elmo, I watch your videos even I'm not interested in what you are reviewing because I like your honest opinion. I like how you demonstrate all the different sounds and don't just rush through them. You liked the guitar gave it a good review but not for you,and respect that. The body looks great and no to the reverce tuners not for me. I like the fact that you are sponcered by your viewers and not a company.
Thanks 😊
He's just a nice guy, one you could share your inner most thoughts with over some Viking beer 🍻
I have tried and played many brands, but my fav brand stays Charvel. My fav guitar is a San Dimas (in mint color) 😀 Can't remind or find you doing a review on a Charvel? But I could have missed it
I haven't gotten around to a Charvel (yet). At some point probably will.
@@MrPolevaulter Woehoe, i would almost send my Charvel San Dimas to your house, but that feels like breaking my own arm or so :-D Keep up the channel, videos and work!
I have a Schecter C6 plus which is a hardtail, and it's OK but nothing special.
You have to go futher up the Schecter range to get a guitar worth owning
My C1 FRS is in another league, but they are not cheap.
As for this one, that reverse headstock is not for me or the strange mottled finish.
Harley Benton's Fusion range offer a far better option with a choice of configerations
to satisfy most players at a far lower price.
So i agree with you Elmo, Schecter have fluffed this one.
Cheers!
What a BS. Almost every guitar is worth owning, typicall internet BS that nothing is good enough unless someone say so. That pickup is shit, u must buy it to decent play, that Floyd is shit, you must own a $20000 floyd to even start thinking about playing. Pf
@@muchozorable You are entitled to your opinions, but calling everything Sh*t
says a lot about your attitude.
Have a nice BS day.
@@Barbarapape Nah, i wasn't, i was quoting all reddit forums and similiar, where someone is trying to find out about some guitar but all he gets is everything beside that, close to what i typed.
Question? How can wood look so METAL??? lol This is my spirit guitar I absolutely love poplar burl with that color scheme is 100 for me. Funny thing is I had a Ibanez like that but the neck wasnt up to par so it got returned. I cant keep a guitar on looks alone thats rubbish!
:D
Love my Schecter
They put the neck on this one upside down because?
Wont make tuning any more fun than it already isn't. 🙄
It is tooooooo expensive for a floyd rose special, I would go for a cheap jackson and replace the "special" floyd with a gotoh floyd once I break it.
Fair enough.
Great video! I have a Schecter E-1 FR S and I'd put it up against just about any guitar because it's a real quality instrument.
Cool :)
Another nice video 🙂 But playing is still quite a bit louder than talking.
That burl veneer is absolutely gorgeous.
Ah, top, I stand corrected. Even better.
Elmo you gotta try an FGN guitar!!! 🤘🏻
They look interesting, but a bit more expensive than what I normally try on the channel.
@@MrPolevaulter not the boundary series, they go for $599 new. Much cheaper then the player series from fender and all FGN guitars are made in Japan!!
So I have never owned a Schecter, but I've been eying the Sun Valley Super Shredder FR S in white, i'm not sure why it it's really caught my eye. Have you reviewed that one by chance?
Sorry, no I haven't
Pickups not my taste, but cool axe 🤘
Yeah, nice looking :)
Come to Chile - or are you there already?
Nope. In Finland.
@@MrPolevaulter Brazil says hello!
They could have put a 1000 series Floyd instead of that shit Special
Which Roland Cube is that going into ??? Cheers Sir
It's the old 80.
Is it worth to buy? Or should i buy a different type of schecter?
Dunno. Depends on what you're after. I haven't tried too many Schecters.
Hi. "Includes paid promotion " have you stopped buying with your own money?
If you listen this more than one minute he told this is someone's guitar which is given and borrowed for video.
Nope.
800€ For a Floyd Rose licensed...
It's not a "licenced" Floyd Rose, they're the models you get on cheap Ibanez etc or for £40 off Amazon. It's a Floyd Rose Special, which is manufactured by Floyd Rose....just cheaper than the 1000 Series (which are Korean made OEM models with identical specs to the Original) and the Original. It could be pointed out the Schaller Lockmeister is a "licenced" Floyd Rose even though it's made in the same factory as the Original.
Just pointing out that not all "licenced" models are equal and not all non-Original models are licenced. Hope this clarifies matters.
Schecters always felt like a 16 year old's guitar to me, especially with their liberal use of abalone and weird fret markers. Theyve also been hit or miss with fret ends when I've played then. This one looks alright, but it's still a hard pass for me
Ugh 😑 bolt on
Good easy to replace neck. And this price can't build neck through model.
