As I said I love this version, I have also heard Nutini's "A Mans A Man", also terrific. But I cannot recall hearing a singer who can switch effortlessly between singing this type of song , to Big Showtunes , Jazz, Pop etc. and sound brilliant at them all , That takes a special talent , and Subo just has it !

If you still like Eddie try Kate Rusby sometime. She also blends traditional English and Scottish folk with modern and has the voice of an angel. There's plenty here on YT. Annan Waters is one of my favourites.
There is far too much negativity on here. Eddi has reintroduced burns to a new generation. There are many versions of burns work and its all down to personal taste. I personally think eddi has the voice of an angel and brings so much emotion to this beautiful yet tragic song. Since nobody on here actually knew Burns I am not sure how anyone can comment that her interpretation isnt simple enough.
Ah used tae hate her guts.(That was years ago)when she played with The Unbound Attention Seekers or something like that.Any how ! that girl can sing she always could. Irvine or somewhere close,Ah cannae remember.
